racing baggers is fine. Just like racing side. Cars is fine.
but this class has rules that seem to be the Harley preservation Society. I remember Daytona, 2023 was televised here in the USA. There was some kind of a rule passed that limited the RPMs that the Indians competing against the Harleys could rev..
was that an AMA thing, again?
I remember Kenny Roberts flat, tracking a 700 cc flat track machine with a Yamaha TZ 700 engine. Two-stroke. Kenny practically lapped the field .. beating the usual, Harley Davidson winners of that race. He had the machine built according to the rulebook. But they declared the machine illegal and his win did not count.
A few years ago, now that the AMA has turned the Daytona 200 into a street bike race, rather than factory road race machines, being written by the best riders in the world from all over the world. They have reduced it down to just a modified production Street bike race for 4 cyl 600s, and slightly larger displacement, triples, and even larger twins.. They stretched the rules so much to allow a motorcycle with a Harley Davidson engine in it, I believe it was 1300 cc to compete against the Japanese four-cylinder 600s..
    so my point is this
The sanctioning body, I believe it’s the AMA, they have a history of moving the goalposts to benefit Harley. And they did it again in the 2023 Daytona bagger race. By limiting the RPMs that the Indians could rev.
Why don’t they just come out and make the class for Harleys only that would be better than constantly changing the rules
