- Turn your passion/hobby into a career is something that we hear being said (echoed) all too often in our society. There are potential setbacks and negative/cons that can arise from turning your hobby/passion into a career/job. And, as someone that has personally turned a hobby/passion into a career/job/business myself, it gives me some unique insight and experience when it comes to the topic of turning your hobby/passion into a career. So, in this video, I share some things which I have learned through my own experiences in this topic, and go over the setbacks and the major negatives/cons which are rarely talked about and taken into consideration when you try/attempt to turn something which you enjoy/love (your passion/hobby) into a career or job.

I didn't mention this but the connection goes both ways, and it could cause you to ignore the negatives that arise as you turn your hobby/passion into a career/job. I believe this is because you're doing something which you enjoy/love. A good example of this would be you regularly over-working yourself and not taking the proper time to rest/recuperate on a regular basis. Before you know it, you might be finding yourself putting in 50 hours one week, 55 the next, 65 the next, 70, 90, etc. and maybe other aspects of your life falls apart because you're putting so much of your time and energy into this one thing that you want to desperately to succeed, but that's leaving you without the time/energy to upkeep the other areas of your life that are essential for your well-being.
When your job is something you genuinely enjoy/love, it becomes so easy for you to pick up a lot of unhealthy or even toxic habits without realizing it (you overlook it).
so happy youre uploading again man. love listening to your takes
i really appreciate this video, indeed thinking about this flipside of the coin didnt come to me beforehand ... great to see you are back, putting out videos again
I feel like a perfect example of this is the UA-cam channel game grumps. Arin has said for years now the show has killed his love for most if not all video games. It’s sad but I get what your trying to say.
Thanks for the advice, I hope you keep on uploading. It’s always a treat to listen to you ramble. God bless and I pray you and everyone in the comments are doing well.
This was my thoughts exactly when Twitch got popular. I've been a gamer my entire life and look forward to doing it in my free time. I couldn't imagine feeling like I had to do it on a specific schedule or play certain games because of their popularity. Taking the fun out of gaming would be a huge mistake for me.
How do you make edits on your UA-cam videos? I can see you do it in some of your videos
