I love Joe as singer of Def Leppard and I love Def Leppard, but I also love Joe the football supporter. He loves music and football and that’s my perfect combination. I’d love to spend talking to him about both
Wow!!! The memories of those early 70's United team came flooding back and literally brought tears to my eyes. I'll never forget Woodward and Currie and Co take the first (premiere) division by storm and straight to the top. Thanks so much Tony I idolized you then and I idolize you now. C"MON YOU BLADES 👏 💪 👏
Ironically I was stood at the front of the cop with Rick Allen for the West Ham (Quality Goal by a Quality player) game , I also sat in the Bramall Lane stand (season ticket)watching my Rockstar football Hero TC ,I saw both the sitting on the ball games 😄 Quality interview by 2 quality men ⚔️
I'm not British, I know nothing about football (soccer), but I thoroughly enjoyed this. I admire Joe so much. He's such a legend, yet he carries on as if he's a normal guy. He is so fun to listen to. He has the best stories and he explains them so well. And he's so kind. Amazing man.
Brilliant chat brings back great memories, of TC and his dribbling around Arsenal to sit on the ball. Met Joe a few times at the Wapentake when doing the disco there
Takes me right back, ALL great games from a great footballing era. What about the 3 - 3 draw with Man City at the lane with United coming back from 0 - 2 down before TC scored a glancing header from a corner to put United in the lead 3 - 2. That was a great Man City team too. Thanks for the memories Joe Elliott and Tony Currie. 🎶 Those were the days my friend we thought they'd never end 🎶 ☺️. Always proud of being a Unitedite then and now ⚔️ UTB ⚔️
Hiya Joe , Yes UTD did Cardiff 5-1 that night midweek, followed by a 3-0 or was it 3-1 win over Watford the following Saturday. I personally have never heard noise like that against Cardiff that Tuesday night at the Lane. 1970/71 season
i didnt see sheffield united till 1984 i think? when they had free tickets to all schools. I didnt go till years later when sheffield Fc was at the Lane on there 150th aniversery and Pele was special guest and last time i saw Tc was in killamarsh delivered a pizza to his house (Chicago,s Pizza Killamarsh)
See you guys soon in August 8 2023 in Columbus Ohio at the Ohio state football stadium 🏟 rock on 🤘 def leppard I just baugth tickets 🎟 to see motley crue and def leppard in August 8 2023 in Columbus Ohio
Joe's memory for dates and details is amazing. I can't remember what I had for breakfast!

TC. What a legend. I remember my first game at the lane in the early 70s too.
I'm a Fulham fan aged 52 but found this interview really interesting, smashing stuff
Two Sheffield legends, loved this, thanks UTB
Thank You for sharing. Two absolutely awesome gents. Hope Joe will be wearing the United Shirt tonight.
Think he said he wouldn't...but you never know eh.
Joe might not be University educated but when he talks about music or football his knowledge is mastermind winner level.
This was awesome to listen to.

Joe's got his moon in Cancer - he's big on nostalgia.
i thought Joe was the fan of Sheffield Wednesday
Leppard's Bass player Rick Savage is the Wednesday supporter.
I seem to remember him and Steve Harris jointly sponsoring a United - West Ham game years back.
All the cool Sheffield musicians are Owls.
And everyone knows that.
