To truly understand this album is to live a life of dejection and sheer misery that most are lucky enough to not experience. The world is one fucking ugly place.
I thought I understood what he was trying to say back when this came out but only now after I've been dragged through the darkest crevices of hell by my schizoaffective disorder in it's worst I actually get it. Thank you Travis..
not going into detail. but after multiple episodes of psychosis over the course of a year or two.. And developing stressful nagging intrusive thoughts plus sum other shit. in short muh dissorders getting much worse & new ones surfacing over the past few years.. I honestly feel as if I understand the content of this album and the Bedwetter project as well, a lot more. But who knows.
In the end, a good listen just helps to cope sometimes.

I know ugly is from Richmond, that city can get pretty dark if you overindulge in certain things, I had to get the hell out there. Luckily I’m feeling a bit better these days, try to hang in there
