So glad I found Ugly years ago. This is as timeless as Led Zeppelin to a classic rocker. And I consider myself a classic rocker. Literally nothing compares to Ugly as far as modern hip-hop or rap goes.

In reality, I don't compare music and ugly and death grips stand on separate golden pedestals of their own. Ugly is a complete solo project, from beats to lyrics which gives me IMMENSE respect for him while death grips is a collaboration of 3 people. Imo, ugly tried to show gangster rap "THIS is REAL gangster rap" while death grips is punk-rap and tried to show how far we can actually go with experimental and controversial music. Ugly doesn't have much real meaning and depth to issues (listen to oblivion access, one of the songs he laughs at people who look too deeply into meanings of his songs) while death grips intentionally puts deep meanings into their music. As some one who listened to all of death grips discography hundreds of times and know the lyrics to every song, as well as uglys, death grips has a lot of directions it heads in while ugly is pretty straightforward. I'm not trying to convince you sir of anything but explain my opinion. If you took the time to read this, listen to death grips beware and read the lyrics, it's their first song and their initiation.

When I listen to rappers like Jus Allah [of Jedi Mind Tricks], Canibus, old Eminem, Nas, Wu-Tang, and even Tyler the Creator and Earl Sweatshirt, I imagine how mind crushing it would be to hear them over bands like Watain, Behemoth, and Vesenia.
