The lady doing the sign language in this video has an infectious way of making me smile throughout the video.. Her positive energy is just exuding from her soul outward.
Didn't realize it was Emma until seeing your comment. Last time I saw them Tim was saying they just went to a Wiggles concert because they know them. So actually an expected crossover for me. Haha.
In both directions. There's a segment on the Wiggles that has them with Tim Chaisson, singing "Squid Jiggin' Ground." My infant grandson will bounce along in time with it.
My husband and I just recently visited PEI to celebrate our ten year wedding anniversary. This song was released just as we were preparing to leave to make our way to the Rollo Bay Fiddle Festival for the first time. Our youngest child immediately spread out her arms and began twirling the first time we played it. Now when it's on, my memories are driving over the bridge, windows down, Wintergreen loud. We missed the merch. at the festival because we had Sunday tickets and most things were sold out, but we got to leave with the memory of the Sunday evening Barn dance. We love The East Pointers and their passion for their music and their island. Their sound is unlike any other, because they play who they are and from where they've come.
Listening to a band I love. My heart is heavy today and I send much love out to all of those who are closest. What a gift to have had the moments to create together.
This song just put my "very upset" 1.5 year old to sleep , my mind is blown, you are talented beyond words and whoever the girl is dancing ......... all around WOW !
Colin Carlson her name is Emma Watsin and her personal channel is here which expresses some of her hobbies / passions: ua-cam.com/channels/TDHxzUNzVrCEY88yTtz59g.html She is also very famous in Australia for being “Emma Wiggle” (the yellow wiggle) and is looooved by about a million Australian children. This video will show you the crowds she (and the Wiggles) get. m.ua-cam.com/video/CiUCAsKE5GY/v-deo.html My 3 year old idolises her. She uses sign language, dances, is a cinematographer and a passionate spokesperson for endometriosis. And she still volunteers at her old dance school ...
What a beautiful song and video! I heard the song at the beginning of the show "Under the Vines" and had to look it up immediately. Love it! Blessings.
I found this song whilst going through a breakup with my ex-fiancé. This song has been my rock since then, I will never stop listening to it, it's now my anthem. Thank you so much East Pointers, from the UK.
This. Song. Is. Everything. Immediately when I heard it, I sent it to everyone I could think of. Way to fill my heart with so much joy. What a cool way to portray the lyrics with Australian Sign Language! Thanks for inspiring me, East Pointers. Looking forward to hearing more tunes.
I have never seen such beauty in signing and dancing. I cried watching this..and I hope to see more of you signing/dancing. Thank you for bringing love, warmth and beauty to my otherwise boring existence, I am truly blessed to have seen this and I truly and humbly honour you for this piece of heaven. Thank you.
R.I.P Koady. Thankful for the mandolin lessons he taught me at a music camp in summer 2015. A really nice guy who was so open to talk and never once made me feel unwelcome to talk and hangout with him, Tim and Jake.
What a beautiful song, and what a lovely surprise to see Emma Wiggle starring in the video! My toddler was especially excited. I have loved the East Pointers for a fair few years now, but it was really cool to see them performing folk music on a few episodes of The Wiggles show that I watch with my son. And now Emma is performing with them- such an unexpectedly cool collaboration!
Heard the song on CBC, and when I got home I looked it up right away. Realized this wasn't ASL, then realized this was the yellow Wiggle. Now I'm going down a rabbit hole looking up stuff about the Yellow Wiggle again. This is the third time this woman has randomly snuck into my life and blown me out of the water. I am so confused and fascinated.
Graham Wardle(Actor on tv show Heartland) Twitter brought me here...Such a Beautiful Song and Music Video- Beyond Words! Thanks guys "Wintergreen" is on my playlist now-Thanks Graham Wardle-have fun at their show!!!!!
Such a beautifully written and performed song. Music has a way of moving and lifting people up making them feel joy and happiness and this song kind of caught me like that right out of the gate. The guy has a great voice. When I first heard it watching under the vines I would have sworn it was Keith Urban.
This video is amazing on so many levels. I'll start with the music the song is awesome and it's a great spin on music that is made here in the Maritimes you guys did an exellent job with this song. Next Emma signing, Emma is amazing and a great advocate for sign language she inspires children all over the world to try sign language and she uses it for many different songs in The Wiggles. Then there's combining the music and signing together. Emma signs in Auslan (Australian sign language) and then we have your song and your band which is Canadian, this helps us be more connected with the people in Australia some people even say that Canadians are very much like Australians and what better way to show it than with this. So all in all this video is amazing and there's so much talent in it in Emma as she signs and dances and you guys as musicians with creating this song really makes the beauty of this video and connecting both countries together. I'd give this video a 10 out of 10.
Congratulations Breanna! You have won the East Pointers merch prize pack! Could you email tim@noisemaker.ca? He will get your info to ship you your prize. Thank you for your beautiful comment!
I'm adding your comment on my Facebook post of this gem. I could not have said it any better. I might also add that the lyrics are also very poignant. Uplifting at any time. The combination of artistry is awesome.
I keep this song on loop. Can listen to it time after time. Love it. If I feel down, this song makes me dance it off. Dance no matter what. Even if you look silly. Just dance ❤
This song is amazing and I can't help but to listen to it on repeat. THEN, I saw the music video, all I can say is WOW! Emma's dancing and signing performance was inspiring; a true work of art. LOVE LOVE LOVE. I can't wait to hear the rest of The East Pointers album. Counting down the days till your performance at the Gateway in Calgary.
I miss the people. The low tide and farm fresh air. Life can be rough there, but it has built strong people who can empathize with struggles in all forms. God bless that place.
Martin, just read your comment from the CBC article about Koadys passing. So I assume Inverness as in Scotland, not Inverness Cape Breton NS. Nice knowing these talented lads and their music reached out over the world. A sad day, I believe their music will continue on.
@@chr970 I can confirm that these lads now have a following in Scotland. I saw them supporting Peat & Diesel in Edinburgh back in November and I instantly fell in love with their music. Heartbroken that Koady is no longer with us
Just found this song and album by pure chance....it is absolutely fantastic. I am a big lover of Scot trad bands like Manran, Niteworks, Elephant Sessions etc and this is certainly up there with them...brilliant. A very happy Scot from Fife is now a fan 🏴🏴 🇨🇦 🍁
Wonderful song & video! Lyrics: Let it breathe, if it doesn't breathe, it's gonna die Let us see, if you let it be, is it gonna fly? I can't stop listening to this perfect song and watching such a joyful and innocently beautiful dance performance. What a find. Thank you East Pointers. If you never put out another song this has fulfilled your gift.
I wish to cover this with my coming out singing voice, my passed father's guitar, dancing, & sign for my Mom 🤎 Gwynn TY for keeping me even keeled Gwynnie & most always somehow being able to be there 🫶
First of all, I love Emma! Such a beautiful dancer and artist. Second of all, LOVE this song. I’ve been listening to it on repeat for the past couple days and it just makes you want to dance! Looking forward to lots more music from you guys!!
How can you tease us with this piece of music GOLD and not release the whole album!!! As you can tell, I absolutely adore this song and have had it on repeat since day 1. I have also learnt the banjo riff on my ukulele!!! It was the first time I have ever learnt a tune by ear, but I was desperate to be able to play it 🙃 sooo... thank you three for everything you bring to this world! Hope we see you at Woodford ❤️
Loved the fact that she was signing the song. Didn't twig to it at first, but loved it when I realized that is what she was doing. Felt like I was experiencing the song on a totally different level. Beautifully done!
First time we saw the East pointers was at the peat and Diesel concert in Dunoon scotland we had taken my fouteen year old daughter to her first concert . And we were blown away by the East pointers.?
Just to be clear, comment on this post or on the UA-cam video itself? :) (I'll comment on both just to be safe) The teaser you posted for Wintergreen excited me and I was literally counting the days until it's full release. I woke up the morning of the release and the first thing I did was listen to it and I was instantly in love! Since then I have had it on repeat and added it to all of my favourite playlists. If I feel myself beginning to falter, I listen to it and find myself carried away to a brighter place, where I can't help but feel happy and rejuvenated. Then the video was released and the happiness in my heart just exploded. I am hearing myself, but spent many years learning New Zealand Sign Language and have many wonderful friends in the Deaf community. Sign Language is such a beautiful language and it translates so beautifully and seamlessly into art forms, in this case dance and music. It makes my heart happy to see it expressed in this manner. And especially as a part of a music video for my favorite band of all time. The video captures the essence of the song, carefree and whimsical, full of joy and hope. It is beautifully presented and a joy to behold. I am beyond thankful for what your music does for myself and so many others.

Wonderful song & video!
Lyrics:
Let it breathe, if it doesn't breathe, it's gonna die
Let us see, if you let it be, is it gonna fly?
Set it free And if it leaves we say goodbye
The web we weave And then we grieve & then we cry
I want to tell you before I forget
You're doing well You know you're living it
You're gonna make it no matter how hard it gets
Despite the darkness Some of these days
CH: Wintergreen can't outshine your radiance
Wintergreen or undermine your salience
Wintergreen I love you more than anything
Wintergreen despite the darkness
Some of these days
Let it go But you should know You're on my mind & let it flow
It breaks the other chains and tracks of space and time
And if you grow beyond the world that we defined
Just let me know that you're gonna be alright
I want to tell you before it's too late
You had it all going on right out of the gate
You never faked it or phoned it in
Despite the darkness Some of these days
The way up and the way down are one in the same
I'm calling an audible late in the game
If love is everything, love is pain
Certain spirits are too bright to be tamed
Can't outshine your radiance Or undermine your salience
Or redefine your sentience Despite the darkness
Some of these days
