It's deflection and lack of accountability. Every single person either from my relationship or friends or family that have cheated they all cheated again. Even when the relationship was with person they cheated with and got pregnant from. It never works out.

Story1: You destroyed your own relationship. Not once but three times or more. You have hurt everybody involved, don’t play victim now honey. Every-time you got bored or dumped you ran back to your fiancée. Glad he found his spine and didn’t took you back anymore. You need therapy because you’re toxic and horrible. You can’t commit and sabotage everything good in your life. I’ve no sympathy for you and everything that happened is on you.
Edit: idc if this story or any other are fake. Somewhere people have this mindset, and things like this happening.

@@heartmint7364there is a caveat. Know who your partner keeps as friends and know what activities are being done. Single friends going to clubs and bars with your partner is a formula to end badly. When entering a dedicated relationship you trade singles activities for ones more acceptable of a taken person. There are many things in life that can only be done as a couple, in having a relationship you MUST give up certain activities that are prone to being alone with others that desire you. Doing these things just shows an utter lack of respect for your partner.

I'd say it that when it's given from the perspective of a cheater, it's rarely remorseful. If i had to guess, it's likely because any remorse is for getting caught and not for the act of cheating. Man or woman, anyone has the capacity to cheat. It's a good idea imo to not group a demographic into a bad behavior because it makes it seem like you're shaming both the behavior (cheating) and the demographic (women) instead of just shaming the behavior (cheating), itself. I like women, what I don't like is cheating. I'm not saying YOU don't like women, I'm explaining that this may be the picture that your words paint of you to others. Does this make any sense?

Story 1: OP, your AP didn't destroy your relationship. If you want to know who is solely responsible for your situation, then look in a mirror. You and you alone made the choice to cheat, not once, but twice. You were never in love with your former boyfriend. You settled. Own it. Stop passing the buck and start carrying your own water and stop blaming everyone but yourself. And while you're at it, grow the F up.

I’m sick of cheaters on Reddit not taking any accountability for their actions. Cheating isn’t a “mistake”, it’s a choice that you made and op is only calling it a mistake because she regrets it. I’m just glad that OP’s now ex fiancé ended their relationship, I just don’t think that he will ever be able to trust her again, considering that she’s been lying to him for a while. I hope her ex finds someone better

Yeah, OP in story 1 is beyond "salvation"... She already betrayed her ex-fiance 2 times in a row (denying her cheating the "second" time because they were not physical doesn't erase the betrayal, plus considering the boundaries he put...), and still was given a chance to make it right. But she chose to have an affair and broke up her engagement for an unfaithful married coworker that she only knew for a few months..!? And even after all of that, she complains about her AP being a cheating liar and is asking for advices in hopes to get back with her ex..?! How delusionnal can she be ? 🤦🏾‍♂️😧

Interest and attraction starts as a feeling but commitment and relationships are a choice. Love is built and maintained. OP in story one fell in lust and tried to justify cheating with "I can't help it. I didn't want to fall in love but I did. Nothing I can do but break up with my fiance and homewreck. He'll be ok. He's a great guy, but my married coworker is the one. It's totally serious. He's not playing me guys. I'm not gullible.....Guys, the coworker was lying. I realized my ex fiance i cheated on and betrayed three times is my real soul mate, but he doesn't want me anymore. I didn't get played, my coworker is just a lying cheating player juggling me and many others. But I'm not a bad person guys, honest." So delusional and deflective. Like you said : "Love is built and maintained". Using the "I fell in love with him so I couldn't do anything about it" excuse to explain why you had an affair only shows how irresponsible you are. (It's the same as someone saying "it's not my fault" because they drank alcohol..) And the fact that you don't understand that in order to "fall in love", you have to pursue and nurture the interest and attraction you felt for this person, also proves your immaturity.

Honestly I don't know what people are thinking when they have an affair because if someone is willing to cheat with you they're willing to cheat on you. The fiancé doesn't trust her (rightfully so), she doesn't really want to be with her fiancé and given that their relationship is conditional, their relationship is an incredibly unhealthy, becoming toxic and would pretty much guarentee the buildup of resentment later down the line.
Best thing to do is to just break up now and move on. The fiancé should be with a woman he can trust and OP needs to figure out what she wants before jumping into another relationship.

"My actions were horrible, but im learning from them." No. Just no. You clearly are not with that "but" in there. What you need to be saying is, "My actions were horrible, and I am taking x steps to get better and prevent myself from making similar bad choices in the future." Cheating isn't a mistake; it's a choice. You may not be able to understand or grasp the reality of how badly you hurt your ex fiance, but just to give a ballpark, take those feelings toward your coworker that cheated on his wife, you, and all the other women he was lying to, and imagine what it would take to give him a second chance, AND still love him/love him again. Now imagine your ex as you and you as that "disgusting animal" because MA'AM. Do better, work on yourself, and leave that poor, heartbroken man to find someone who deserves and will cherish his love and love him in return.
Also, it's funny how you said you realized he is "my true love" and not that you love him. Property: Yours, not the love of your life or person you wanna spend the rest of your life with. After realizing how much being cheated on hirts and that he still gave you another chance AND still has love for you, i genuinely hope you let him go and heal and move on.

The fiance in the first story has no self respect. Him crying like a bih and saying he didn't feel valued sealed the deal for me.
