Ace stuff . Exactly what i was looking for to help in my first venture into the beetle world . Im sure theres going to be many more issues I'll have. Really nice dynamic between the 2 of you and no nonsense like i wm eeeing with other youtubers . Many thanks for england
If the spare wheel is there, it does complicate things. It depends on the type of wheel and the position of the openings in the wheel. I have opened hood latches with the spare in place, but it usually takes a solid bar that I have put some bends in to be able to fish it through the openings. There can be times where depending on the wheel or the way it's positioned that it's almost impossible to do.
@VWFunBus I'm screwed. I cut the handle of the trunk lid up because I found that the spare is in the way and impossible to move. The lever in the glove box is engaging but not enough. That same lever was put in with rivets and the stereo is securely fitted in the dash hence I can't access that cable to pull any harder to open the trunk latch. Do I have to saw the hood?

You guys are awesome, I almost cut my hood open until I found your video! Thanks a lot!
What if the spare wheel is in place? Can you access it through one of the fender bolt holes?
