Diagonal Tracking Technique of Hizku - Unraveling the Secrets of Aim Ep. 5

- This video was originally intended to be a meme episode to the series just because of how niche the topic is. However, I ended up discussing a lot of really good points still vital to good reactive tracking. Again, please let me know if you actually like diagonalmaxxing or if it has gotten you any new high scores.

Whose technique should I cover in the next episode of Unraveling the Secrets of Aim? Let me know in the comments below.

Every single time u track the bot to the right you move the mouse downwards, serius issue for tracking a head

shoutout to Tacet137
@@ChampionROHhe said that to him? so like it's just that he uses a different technique when he does track a head that's all right?
Matty is the type of guy you will find at the top of an obscure kovaaks scenario that you randomly found in the depths of some old playlist
0:50 this guy very very impressive
Can't you just rotate you sensor in rawaccel so your natural wrist movement is horizontal?
just diagonal maxxed to gm on reactive thanks voltaic matty overwatch
"Hold on let me diagonalmax this kid" followed by "IT's NOT GOOD. IT'S NOT GOOD" a couple clips later is really funny
This instantly reminded me of Struth Gaming's video about mouse grip rotation compensation, a method of using the Rawaccel programme to compensate for the unwanted rotation that is introduced by certain grip styles in order to be able to draw straight lines without having to aim unnaturally.
Here's his video about the topic: ua-cam.com/video/AsTcv792DBA/v-deo.htmlsi=hZsNkrloQRfF6ak4
This could also be worth checking, if you do, please let me know.
He also made a video for the kovaak's channel about this, yeah. ua-cam.com/video/73Jnj0uAJEU/v-deo.html
So ppl like hizku or matty are likely holding their mice at a slight angle to the left, turned inwards, meaning they could make their lines more naturally straight if they used a negative axis offset of a few degrees. I've personally been using -5 degrees for a while now.
@@AVPancientPredator That's even the video I had in mind! No wonder I couldn't find this one when looking for Struth Gaming. Thanks for your reply!
And yes, that's what I'm thinking of as well, would love to see them trying this out.
Yes I have been using rawAccel for this for a very long time because I hold my mouse at a very strong angle. I wish this would get more popular so we might some day get a rotation offset as a standard setting inside mice. I believe there are already mice which can do that.
@@TheRodoehtthere is only one that I know of that does this and it’s the rog harpie ace
Noway, ive been doing this for months, I thought I was just being stupid
Same lol
really informative video, keep it up!
best vid you’ve made yet. specifically script wise.
diagonalmaxxing fr
"The problem I have with this criticism is that it downplays the capacity of human beings to adapt." Powerful statement.
Diagonalmaxxers come in
this is how my tracking looked before i used raw accel to better align my sensor for my grip
So I tried drawing the lines in paint out of curiosity and while my first one was maybe 10-15 degrees off from being horizontal, I naturally adjusted without thinking about it and had a flat horizontal line by the 3rd one lol
he has blessed us with another analysis 🙏. I would love to see your thoughts on someone like viscose, dark, or rafals target switching technique.
For a very long time I only played static and as soon as I started to touch tracking I only played “ground” scenarios. I didn't expect that this was a high-level technique. I just thought it would be easier for me this way
love how you break down techniques. I'll give it a shot next time i train reactive.
could you make a updated video about aimlabs and kovaals themes and maybe include how to build a working theme? i always run into weird things like for xyz scenario the sky merges with the target and it's so annoying to change it to match every scenario
yay

Yay aiming 🎉
couldn't you maximize diagonalmaxxing by making the angle of your sens the same angle as what you did in paint? so it would output straight lines?
Like in mouse accel? Using mouse rotation. This was my question as well
Here I thought this is the reason why some people who use cassidy always flick up diagonally to the head.
its perfect for quake btw, cuz dmg is same, u just need to maximize ur %
A legitimate question here would be, wouldn’t it be just as easy to change the sensor rotation in mouse accel to naturally aim straight
Diagonalmaxxing might actually be useful for beam heroes or other tracking situations without headshots, maybe mauga? Just rare youd wanna abandon double damage opportunity on soldier unless it's when theyre one
sounds like it could work for lg 1v1
i used to aim similar to this, did not know if good or not
hows the progress on tension management guide by you and viscose?

"what can we mortals do-"
we all know you're an aim god, no need to hide it 😂
i would like to see more 'wtf is this' players

LET ME BE THE 4TH INQUIRY ABOUT SENSOR ROTATION
So curious on this as well. I asked viscose the same question which pretty much got no answer saying she had a friend try it and it made the arm part of aiming feel disconnected but I have played with it and it feels natural to me butit wasn’t at first. She mostly just said he hasn’t tried it and can’t give first hand advice.
She diagonal till I maxx
9:21 up right down left represent! where the rest my fucked up wrist homies at?
Diagonalmaxxers rise
NOOO RIP THE INTRO
Matty imma need u to drop the song
A lot of final fantasy music in there.
doesn't everyone do this naturally I thought it was weird at first that I aim like this but realized it's the most natural motion when aiming with your wrist
Yippie
Man do I miss hauntr. Hope he's okay
he streama regularly in twitch
Well i use 5.2 inches/360 sens so i never use my arm lol
prime matty would have had a billion views by now
bro ur intro is legit ear ra*e
why dont u analyze some
grass or women?
yea ur real
grass and women are an obstacle to peak aim.
Bro is obsessed
im sure u do a lot of that
Why not you do the same, considering you have enough free time to post hate comments on most matty's videos, you need it more than matty.
