I have a 1956 ES 125, single P90. I also have a 1965 firebird III "platypus" transition model with two P90s. They have incredible mojo. love the sound and what you played, Brother! Awesome as always, thanks!
When I was at the Garage a few weeks ago, I played the hell out of it ! The first thing I would do is go to Music City Bridge and pick up a Studfinder bridge and lock-in studs , then it would come home with me 🤘🏼
From Jeremy: That's the best tune I've heard anyone play on their channel lately!! Awesome!! Don't think I can part with $1000 for an epiphone tho, their pricing lately on some of these guitars sounds like someone's been hitting the pipe too much lmao!! Happy holidays!!
Hey man, thanks! Well.. for UA-cam I just use a Fractal AX8. I've modified the Friedman BE patch a little in there. (Eq and gain). I'm using Friedman IR's I'm stereo as well. The delay and reverb is added in ProTools in the mix so I have more control did editing later. It's a stereo delay. 250ms left 500 right. 14% mix 30 % feedback. Large hall stereo reverb. 14% mix. 😎🤟🏻
Excellent playing ! Great sounding pup p90s really have that unbridled raw hit you in the face sound that takes a pretty good guitar player to tame and make it there own , you have done that my friend way to go great song too 👍🏼👍🏼🎸🎸🤘🤘
Marty, fast question... what was your complete setup after you plugged up the gee-tar? I really Iked the tone. Please and thank you... I was going to buy the gold version but I bought EVH American stealth gray.
I was simply running a fractal ax8 in stereo into my computer. I was using a Friedman BE model with ML labs Friedman speaker impulse responses. In post... pro tools mix... I run my delay in stereo 250 ms left 500 ms right at about 14% mix 30% feedback And a stereo hall reverb At about 15% mix.
@Ranch5150SkinWalker I have one of those. It's fairly simple I'd say, until the engine fires. Then birds streak from the trees and dogs howl for mercy.
Hey Marty I love your channel. Question, you mentioned that these Epi's come into Nasville for the QC. How did you confirm this info? I know these used to have an "inspected by number in USA 🇺🇸 " but I do not see those anymore. Also the last china factory tour is from 2008 so not a lot of transparency. I am glad you mentioned it I am very intrigued
Thanks man! I was impressed with the pickups. I had a really high gain setting and they were really quiet. Very impressed. The pickups are super crunchy and responsive. I should have set that guitar up with 9's and lowered the action a little. It was set up well... but I need a little sleaker setup. Especially with those honkin' huge necks. Haha. 😂
Nice guitar. But for some reason i just dont get into one pickup in a guitar. Unless there are routing space for other pickups underneath. I myself wouldn't be a buyer for that price. Good video buddy 👍👏💯🎸🎸 sounded like Lynrd sknyrd or Marshall tucker band. Sweet 👍😊
Must be tough being a tech for a huge company that constantly puts amazing guitars in front of you? I'd probably have hundreds in my collection. 😂 Cool guitar, excellent playing
I think they are a big bit overpriced for what they are from my end, Jared is a nice player etc but he's using customised amps and pedals etc to help him get his bombs off as you do when your at his stance, I think this Epi is more than likely a semi beneath the outer shell, I can recommend a much more affordable option that can go toe to toe with it and beyond in all honestly, it's a sweet little bugger no less but a bit of an artist endorsed sell thing I think, which is always iffy right from the get go.
I just saw the gold ones on line for $749 which is pretty decent. That's a pretty good deal for a Epi LP Custom. It's a stripped down tone machine, with a little tacked on for artist pricing. Not a bad guitar overall. 😎🎵
@@Ranch5150SkinWalker Theres the odd secondhand one for sale via the likes of reverb etc/ebay, but the freight cost is almost as much outlay to have it shipped, personally I would not buy anything new or secondhand unless I could test it out first. The latest blue has the same specs and hardware I think but it's only available backorder (time fame arrival unknown) not to mention the very limited and restrictive ability to test one in person likewise) it's $2,000 without a hard case ...like I mentioned, I know of a better option all round which includes the ability to buy a matching hard case still under $1,000 in my region which can go toe to toe easily and beyond the Epi's no problem for killer tone and playability.
Nothing like a single P90 snarl, these guitars really do ROCK. Great playing my friend🤘😎🎸
Beautiful guitar Marty! Loved that piece you played too. ❤🎶🎵🎸
Thanks man! Just a little late night noodle to demo the guitar 😎🍺

Man, that's a good looking guitar. Sounded excellent, Marty!
Thanks! She's a pretty guitar for sure. Epiphone have really upped a level the past few years!

Lovely bluesy lick too man😉😀
Thanks! It's a pretty classy looking guitar 😎
nice demo. great playing.
Been wanting a JJN guitar for a few years now. Really like the Gold Glory one. P90s are my favorite!
Hey man I saw on line last night that those gold glories are like $749! That's a solid deal man. Great guitars for sure !
Hell yea…love it…if I was gigging, I’d have myself one of those and rock it all nite long👍
Good review and love the way you play with feeling. nice job.
Excellent playing
Playing something from way back in my past...frikin awesome..👍
Cool guitar Marty and you definitely poured on the Blues Power in that jam sounded great 👍🤘😮
Beautiful Guitar 🎸🎶🎶 Sounds Killer... Nice Playing... Happy Holidays 🎇🎄🎁 🥃🥃 🍻
Nice guitar really like the P90 demos. Can you cover the signal chain ?

Really enjoyed your playing!
Nice! Gotta love les pauls! Thanks Marty 🤘
Thanks man, I really dig the Les Paul's Epiphone has been releasing the past few years. Good quality and sound. I'm impressed! 😎🤟🏻
@@Ranch5150SkinWalker Agree! I've bought 2 in the last year! 1959 and the modern! Both great!
I wish they had a matte gray one....
That would be cool! I am kind partial to a black one I saw online.
@@Ranch5150SkinWalker I planned on buying the gold version of this guitar... but I bought an EVH American.
Super 👍

I like it. Simple is always cool. Thanks Marty
I agree, simplicity is cool. Kinda like an old stock classic car or hot rod. 😎

Consider reviewing the Reverend Kingbolt sometime. I'd be interested in your take how it compares to a Wolfgang

Second comment
$999 for a Chinese guitar?
The wiring is ridiculous for $1K.. Once you upgrade the wiring.. and dress the frets.. you might as well buy a real Gibson..
Beautiful music
Thanks man! 😎🎵
