This list begs the question - I assume most people know the whole Rockman/Mega Man translation, but is it common knowledge among Japanese fans that the English translation made other changes, like Forte/Bass and Blues/Proto Man? And if so, how do they feel about the English names? Because honestly I think the original Japanese names are more fitting for the characters, and I like them a little better. But I do have a soft spot for the English names, since I grew up on them. Saying "Rockman" out loud just doesn't feel as good.

This is why Star Force's combat, even with all the improvements from the third game pales in comparison to Battle Networks. There is simply so many combos and combinations you can do it's amazing. Heck BN gameplay has an E-Sports potential and i seriously don't get why didn't Capcom didn't capitalize on that yet.
Nasu ^^^^This. I’ve never seen another game series combine a card collecting element along with a real time battle system so perfectly. Hell, with the way that folder building works they could easily make it free to play and include chip packs and other microtransaction stuff.
I was never good at BN, so I never realized the potential here. I mostly got into the series with SF, so going back and seeing this has opened my eyes to what the BN battle system allows the player to do. That said, I still enjoy both.

I know battle network is a good game, but I have never once looked it up nor do I know anything about the game. UA-cam saw this and decided to recommend this video.
Just downloaded the emulator for mi phone and started playing all the Gameboy Advance games I used to enjoy as a kid. I used to love the Battle Network series.
The Thunderman fight, one chip and a navicust program killed a 2000hp enemy, the only way to top that is in bn2 with the event program advance darkness
