Without a DOUBT the most haunting sounding musical instrument ever.

Marcus, thank you so much for keeping these sounds alive and offering a more reliable digital version of this classic instrument that so many of us absolutely love. You can always recognize a Mellotron on a recording. It never sounded like real strings etc, but it’s imperfections are what made it into something the original designers never really imagined.

And thé tape width doesn t permit to recorded thé total spectre frequencies , only thé Middle spectre of each frequencies were recorded .may be added to thé pitch variations added to many strange un heard sounds...

What a really interesting and comprehensive coverage of the development from its beginnings. As a teenager during the 1960's I listened to records and had no notion of what a Mellotron was.It produces really interesting and varied sounds and seems to lend itself to film music where moods and tone are especially relevant as well as other more specific musical formats.

I was always interested in the Mellotron ever since I heard The Moody Blues Days of Future Past. Just looking at those tapes in action was SO satisfying for me.

      That's NAMM for you!
This is the reality of the NAMM Show in a nutshell. You're trying to tell people about your gear and there's someone dressed up as a naked guy stopping by. Or, when you try to film an interview, the guy in the next booth starts demoing the latest guitar distortion pedal.

It seems to me a man in a body suit. I first thought WHAT? Then I saw, he wears a body suit. I laughed, because Markus didnt see this man at all, and went on with his explanation if nothing happened.

Thank goodness the Mellotron IP ended up in the hands of a real craftsman - beautiful instruments, and a stand-up businessman

String synthesisers came and went, but the Mellotron remains a unique keyboard sound.

A very sophisticated Romper - poly aftertouch, and the inimitable Mellotron keyboard feel. Fabulous recreation of playing the original
      tape-based unit
