      @@georgios_georgiou - with lens hood? Haven't gotten any with mine. But what has happened, is that my 30mm lens hood has gotten loose and can fall off when hanging. Need to fix that. @@gelisob gelisob well the thing is he wasn't shooting into the sun so maybe it's a lens defect. I don't use the hood at all and have no issues with the 30 mm but this rainbow thing and at that price point i don't like it one bit. • @imbestigador987
    @imbestigador987 5 років тому +3

    Keep in mind that your not getting the f1.4 you thought your getting, because you also have to multiply the aperture. So f1.4 x 1.5 (crop factor) will be f2.1 in equivalent in crop factor. So the Sigma DC lineup would be in f2.1 equivalent.

    • @abhishekmaitra96
      @abhishekmaitra96 Рік тому +3

      This crop factor applies to the depth of field but not on the effect F-stop. For example Crop factor 56mm 1.4 produces depth of field/background blur which is equivalent to a 56mm 2.1 full frame lens but the exposure settings will be same as 56mm 1.4 full frame. So the 1.4 in terms of background blur is different but the 1.4 in terms of passing light will be the same for the area of sensor exposed. If we talk about the field of view then it will be about 85mm 1.4 in (for exposure) and 85mm 2.1 (for depth of field) full frame equivalent. So things are really complicated here, while applying 1.5x crop factor the focal length , depth of fiend , f-stop and field of view , all these four factors of a lens is going to compensate each other so you can never achieve the same exact picture.

    So this is a true “56mm”for apsc cameras? Been seeing that’s it’s compared to an 85mm? Accidentally bought a FE 50mm which would be 75mm on A series. Newbie to photography. Just wanna make sure this lens is a true 56mm

    That1cameraguy showed FF mode, it seems usable, it does not automatically put it in APsc mode

    • @SidneyDiongzon
      @SidneyDiongzon  6 років тому

      Just tried it. Although it can use FF mode, you’ll see extreme vignetting due to the barrel of the lens. That’s why the A7III will automatically go into crop mode with an APS-C lens.

    How is the motor focus noise for hotshoe mic on camera setup? The sigma 30 f1.4 is too noisy. The 16 f1.4 is ok if it's not a quiet room.
