Hernán Cortés and his few Spanish Conquisadors stumble upon central america.. only to find gold! Lots and lots of gold! The Aztec leader Moctezuma has more than he knows what to do with. The Spanish Conquistadors begin to plot against the native aztecs and after allying with the Tlaxcala.. soon the mayans, aztects and incans of both central america and south america will soon be a thing of the past. With gunpower, cannons, muskets and armour.. the natives that belong to the americas don't stand a chance against the technologically superior spanish empire!
That's right, this will be the first official tabs history lesson and possibly the beginning of a new totally accurate battle simulator history series.. in fact I am going to make a tabs gameplay playlist for it right this very second! These tabs battles are based on real life events and actual history. Battles such as the the massacre at cholula and the fall of tenochtitlan are well know.. but I wanted to include lesser known battles here too! Finally.. it's been ages since we got a new tabs update! Almost a year in fact and I'm getting desperate.. I hope there's a tabs new update soon! A map creator, new secret units or maybe even a new tabs campaign or new tabs maps I don't even care landfall games please throw us a bone!

Interesting enough that the Spanish used mostly swords, knives and cavalry and used the muskets/cannons sparingly since ammunition was low and they were far from home.
Yeah I was reading that they barely had any gunpowder. Apparently crossbows were massively important tho

Thats true because when they invade amarica they were low on gunpowder and ammunition
@@APersonOnUA-camX They obviously could have held La Haye Sainte, they just needed crossbows for when their ammunition ran out.
Fun fact about the battle of Cempoala: Only around 10 people were actually killed, but some of the other spanish troops had smallpox which killed millions of natives.
Yeah, I thought it was an important battle to include but still cant be boring or uninteresting. I try to make the battles accurate where possible but also allow for some entertainment value too as that's what the main priority of the video is

4:37 Well the reason is that with a musket, unlike with modern weapons the bullet would bounce around in the barrel before exiting. Making it go in random ways, thats why they mostly used line formations in the 18th and 19th century. Now a crossbow on the other hand is literally just a heavier bow and arrow that is slightly more accurate and a slowly reloading speed.
mmmm also the actual musket pellets themselves were rarely perfectly round anyway

I am descended from these spanish conquistadors: Juan Ponce De Leon, Spanish Conquistador and explorer, discovered Florida, and was the first governor of Puerto Rico,
Juan Velàquez De Leon, Spanish Conquistador who fought alongside Hernan Cortez, and died in the battle of Tenochtitlan, Pedro Cieza De Leon, Spanish Conquistador, Historian, author and chronicler.

Miguel and Tulio vs Kuzco: Battle to the Death
What's that from?
Miguel and Tulio are two Spanish characters who stowaway on a boat to the New World in the movie El Dorado. Kuzco is an Incan emperor from the moviet Emperor's New Groove. Since, the video is about the Spanish fighting the Mesoamericans and Incans, I though it'd be fun to combine the two.

You should had some Spanish units throwing potions and the witch's projectile to represent disease.

@@PlasticScot I know everything, because I have been testing all the OG TABS units and their stuff. Like the necronmancer being able to turn your own troops into skeletons, if this happens to a bard the bard will attack instead of run away.
Or blowdarts, or maybe even the poison gas

I love the arbalest, it's by far one of the most underrated historical weapons. :)
It was basically the equivalent of a medieval shotgun.
I'll be honest I don't know much about it.. I just thought it was a crossbow type thing?
@@PlasticScot Yes, the arbalest was a heavy crossbow first invented in the 1200's, they were known as tower guns.
Because, they were very heavy (around 60 lbs) and thus they were very cumbersome to use, but incredibly powerful.

It wasn't called a musket it was a arquebus the arquebus was a longer reaload bad accuracy but it stood tall against the bows and crossbows because it had less training and it's also the musket but it's in early development
