I was running this deck for some ranked matches last season. It’s OK! The most annoying brick is opening with both DMOC and DMOC quick play spell. Followed with no Navigation or Magicians Rod. Which is why I switched out DMOC with Oracle Mahad, as it can be more versatile. Destiny Draw and Mahad have won me games against the mirror match, dark lords and any other dark archetype. Oracle also has the special summon effect for a Dark Magician after being destroyed. Works great with Magical Circle on the field.

This card wierds me out man. Was already winning with dark magician and the magician girl archtypes, but after I put this card in the day it was released, BAM! Now there's more options and I had no idea the improvement would be as good as it is. While I main a blue and red eyes centered deck, this was such a game changer I swapped to magicians for the first time ever. Its lovely
At 12:00 Meta is exploiting a bug in duel links that allows Magician's Rod to activate during the damage step even though the card effect clearly prevents it: "When this card is Normal Summoned: You can add 1 Spell/Trap from your Deck to your hand, that specifically lists the card "Dark Magician" in its text. During your opponent's turn, if you activate a Spell/Trap Card or effect while this card is in your GY (except during the Damage Step): You can Tribute 1 Spellcaster monster; add this card to your hand. You can only use each effect of "Magician's Rod" once per turn."
I think that 2 copies of dark magic veil make the deck much better going second as well. Tested it out and it proved to be able to break boards. Any opinions?
Ofc its good. it just sucks that u the player can't pick who goes first after the coin flip. so you would always be blinding second at random. U gotta hope to go to second. If we were able to pick who moves first after coinflip i think the meta would be slightly altered becuz they really would change a lot of decks moving forward if that were the case

It isn’t missing timing. It is being chain blocked. This means it can’t respond to to circle (chain link 1) because the rod activated chain link 2 and chain link 2 was the only place the opponent could respond. So he was never given the chance to respond to to effect in the first place, unlike missing timing.

I remember a really old video when DMOC first came out that was talking about how dedication through light and dark was a really bad card. We've really come a long way since then.
Have you read the effect of dmoc? If it leaves the field you cannot resummon it with dedication of light and darkness unless you find a way to un-banish it.
You’re so right about sealed tombs. I hope it’s adjusted. I play darklords all the time and it’s so frustrating going second and turn 1 the opponent seals the tombs. I have a solid win ratio first DM but if the tombs are sealed turn 1 I’m left with very little plays.
I don't know if it;s just me but my DM deck isn't doing as well as it was just 2 weeks ago... Managed to get KOG last month but now I'm struggling to win 3 in a row.
People always build their deck to counter the meta, ESPECIALLY if it's in the meta. So it's not just you, it's not of a nerfing or anything, it's just that people are already trying to find their way to bring DM down

I just got absolutely destroyed by Fortune Lady Catapult Turtls build. Some of the cards I saw were cards to the void, advance draw, power conductor, fortune ladies and of course the turtle.
I'm surprised by the number of people who don't know how chain and negation effects work in Duel Links... I mean, that's pretty much how people always dealt with bullshit "one negate per turn" cards like Cyber Dragon Infinity in the TCG/OCG.
His deck uses enemy controller, if there's an opportunity that we could steal a tuner from the opponent and use it in our own, we can synchro summon. I do the same with my DM deck
Dark Cavalary will negate you after targeting effect of targeting monster resolve. But before resolve the Circles, he make a new chain and its make Dark Cavalary lost negate effect. Because the intials first effect "Target and banish card" is overwrite with second effect.

No, you don’t. That’s just win more. Dedication is a dead card on the defensive, unlike everything else in this deck which helps upkeep. One copy each is more than enough

@@dragonite5288 Is quite simple but not explained anywhere, when 2 effects "happen" at the same time, you can choose which one do first, the most important effect should be chain 1 (circle in this case) 2nd is the rod, I don't know exactly what cavalry can negate but, he could have only negated the rod effect at this point, since u can only negate the previous effect in the chain. Is called "chain blocking" in normal yugioh, is not that strange, it's used to stop hand traps mainly.
Ariel Barahona basically cavalry reacts by cancelling a targeted effect, it has to be next in the chain from the effect its stopping to work. By activating the rod in the graveyards effect right after you target with circle it becomes next in the chain meaning cavalry has missed its opportunity to negate.

Depends on your style. But i recommend Mirror Wall against Purgatrio. For spells you can run enemy controller for plays. But I recommend 2x eye of tims to keep your dominance against dark magicians. Once you have both. Chaos Hunter, and A Dark Magician on the field. Its over for mirror matches.

I might be wrong but with the quick play spell you can work around the mirror match magician circle if they target your DM
DMOC banishes himself when he leaves the field so that’s a no go
Its more like a one time thing, you go all out as fast as you can with this build. For the long run, it's better to ditch dmoc.

Actually DMOC is banished when it leaves the field so you can't bring it back unless you use something like burial to put it back into your grave

How can you look on your opponents graveyard on the opponent's battle phase? I can't do that. HELP
Easy. Click on your opponents grave and hold till you see the cards. Just keep your finger there long enough (like 1-2 seconds)

For spells you can run enemy controller for plays. But I recommend 2x eye of tims to keep your dominance against dark magicians. Once you have both. Chaos Hunter, and A Dark Magician on the field. Its over for mirror matches.
