    I'm going to order one next week. I've been thinking about it for about six months now. Time to give it a try! Now, this bike is cheaper than what a Suzuki DR250S was back in 1992. I remember wanting a DR250 back then, but they were 3200 dollars back in '92. Now we have these chinese xpro bikes for around 1500, that's crazy! So if it scores a "C" that's just fine! Less than half the price of a Japanese bike 30 years ago! I know it's not going to be the same quality but for that price if it runs ok and holds up ok I'm going for it.

    Part of me was skeptical about tis video, I purchased the exact same bike (same color even) after weeks of "research", and I began watching this video after already hitting "complete order" and giving out my credit card info. Couldn't agree more based on just my research that this is the best value among X-pro models (for. my needs). Happy to hear your review is pretty much what I expect from this thing. Managed and realistic expectations are a recipe for happy life !

      You might want to buy a $25 Runleader brand gauge for it. Which gives you cylinder head temperature, rpm guage, total run time, adjustable high temperature alarm setting. I'm betting the rpm gauge & speedometer is way off but the Runleader guage will give rpm & your phone or a $10 digital speedometer will give accurate speed. In very hot weather you might wanna add some good 2 stroke oil to the gas at 100 to 1 ratio which will provide some lubrication & cooling to the top end. If you're trying to go far at hwy speeds. The stock air box might be restricted & a pod filter with proper jetting will probably give a little more power. Rig up the hose that goes from engine case into airbox to go into the pod filter. It's the crankcase pressure hose/valve that allows engine crank pressure to escape. If it has one, it might run better though if u just put a filter on the hose end & not route it into the pod filter.

      Do u recommend it? Looking on buying a fun Fk around bike. But don’t want to spend CRF R or KTM money for a bike I know I’m going to ride kinda hard on tracks.

    I think grading it up against Hondas, Yamahas, KTM’s etc is the wrong way to grade this bike. I think at the price point, it gets an A. Out of all the other $2000 or even $3000 dual sports, this bike gets an A.

    Thanks man you have save me money. I have a street motocycle 2013 Yamaha FZ6R 650cc and I know how to ride good. I was thinking of buying my first dirt bike a cheap one at that. I added a few of them on my shopping cart and when you said these dirt bikes wont go for people who are use to riding street motocycles it made me greatful for the bike I already have. Thank you!

      i feel that is a bad statement. If you want to jump and go like a maniac these bikes arent for you but if you want a nice little trail bike that can lug you through the woods these are great bikes and you will have a blast with them. i have a 120HP street bike and still enjoy riding this thing on the weekends at the trails so idk. If you want to compare to a street bike then dont buy a dirtbike because you will be let down with somethjing like this with 1/4 or less HP but in the trails it dont matter you will have fun
      whether full throttle or not.

    • @Nightmarerhfan2011
      @Nightmarerhfan2011 Місяць тому

      also you shouldn't buy a dirtbike if you expect it to be like a streetbike. If you expect to ride it like a streetbike you will wreck easily.

    I have the Trailmaster tm35 made by zuumav. I think it’s the same as the Templar 250. My first bike, and super fun to learn on! I’ve dropped it 3 times and wrecked it once at 30. Still runs and in decent shape. But no worries it was cheap! I figure I’ll learn how to ride on it, and when it’s done for I’ll look into a used Suzuki or Yamaha.

    NGL i dont want the Templar for street riding. I want it because it has a bigger engine and more power than the Titan which is a 232cc engine vs a 249...cc engine and the Templar supposedly having 5HP more power I just want it for a cheap trail bike lmao. It just makes more sense to buy this vs the Titan. Ill never use it on the street most likely. This is my opinion. I own a Tracer 9 GT and i have rode a Titan 250 from this company and i had fun on the Titan 250 so if you want to go off this review then so be it. For the money it makes a fun weekend warrior dirtbike.

      Basic model top speed with stock gearing is around 60mph. But it's easy to gear it up with a smaller rear sprocket and achieve 65-70mph. It has enough power to pull the higher gearing.

    I had many Japanese enduros and dual sports. I bought a 1988 suzuki DR 125 from the dealer in 1988 at a 1700 dollar price. Tag . It's great to see it can still be done for this 250 at that price. That's because the Japanese market no longer floods the market the Chinese do now. Makes sense.

    Watch my review a lil crappy but real and decent video quality but regardless it’s a review on the bike ….. I used the bike everday I currently have 707miles I ride heavy I live in NY and use it in the city and everywhere I go I removed the graphics and just have black panels and wear my motorcycle helmet police do not bother me I sometimes feel invisible. But this bike 1-10 I’d say is 7.5-8/10 it’s extreamly solid besides regular maintenance it’s your responsibility to make sure you do routine check ups on bolts and over all bike health to ensure your safety this apply to any bike but it’s and what makes it even more dope is it’s street legal get it registered in NY Bronx , any of of the boroughs

    I strongly disagree with you on the "not refined at all" or all the shaking you were talking about.. I am guessing that is because yours is not the X model with the counter balanced engine or the 6 speed transmission. I can say this owning several high end dirtbikes including a '2019 KTM 500 EXC. I absolutely lovee this bike for the money! I have a full race exhaust system with cat delete, Nibbi PK30 racecarb (not the less powerful PE30). It has much larger intake and exhaust bores. I have never ridden it completely stock but I can tell you with the mods this thing cooks!! Feels a lot more like a DRZ400 then a XR250. Comes with nice KKB adjustable suspension. Switch the front springs to stiffer springs, use 20 WT oil and doubble the volume you put back in then it will be flawless. I am 230lbs and I like the stiff race like suspension feel. I also had to do this with my KTM and it came with WP suspension. Take the rear shock add about an inch of preload (had to on my KTM too). I also did the rear shock second mounting hole mod to bring the suspension down about 3 inches and drop the front forks to the last line for leveling out the bike. The X model comes with the smaller front headlight assembly so I bought the non x model so it puts out more light for nightime road or trail riding. Also buy an upgraded LED bulb and you will have AMAZING lighting at night. You dont want to cheap out, make sure it is one with a built in fan (they put out a lot more power) and about 40,000 lumes. The stock one is about 1000 lumes. You can also buy an oil cooler kit, they make an adaptor for it so that you can have liquid cooling for tight low speed trails in the summer! You can even put on a mini electric fan. They also make big bore kits CHEAP if you want even more power! They are nothing shot of incredible for the money I can't believe they sell them so cheap. You can even get supermoto wheels and tires! The X also comes with bigger brakes! Don't cheap out its WELL worth the extra $400

    Honestly I believe they are almost all worth it. X-Pro makes great products. Their engines are very well built and very reliable. (They are Honda clones)
    You should almost always buy a brand new bike for $1,500 - $2,000 rather than buying a used beat-up bike for $5,000 or more for the same engine size and capabilities.
    The only comparable product in this price range is the Yamaha TW200 at around $3,500 - $4,000 New.
