The GPU system at the end is quite weight efficent at 75kg. My 5950x 3090 rig with all the custom watercooling in an O11 Dynamic EVO XL already clocks in at 31kg and can barely does half what that system can do.
Yeah I grossly underestimated weight when building a mini-ITX system in a Dan a4-H20, its very small and can rock a 4090. I travel between cities on a weekly basis, sounds perfect right? Yeah but carrying ~14kg (I think) + peripherals (I have a monitor at both locations luckily) + whatever else I need is definitely not that fun when you're traveling
And just think. It will be just 10-20 years before that kind of performance is in the desktops we use, and the current stuff we use for high end workstations will probably be our laptops, just scaled down. Can't wait.
One of the TTP Discord members recently did a presentation on the NEC VE. media.ccc.de/v/37c3-12297-making_homebrew_for_your_very_own_vector_super_computer
Why was this guy talking instead of just showing us the video of the guy who created it on the screen behind him? (And yes, I know that the only reason the guy on the screen was able to create it was because Tech Jesus, Lord Of Everything Computing Related, told him everything he needed to know to create it).
@@casperes0912 Wasn't that Linus on the monitor behind him? And he believes that since he has the largest "tech" channel, (I don't consider him to have a tech channel but the rest of youtube does) he knows the most about tech. But of course we all know that Tech Jesus, Lord Of Everything Computing Related, is REALLY the person who knows everything about tech even though his channel is way smaller than Linus's. Sorry for the confusion; it's all my fault for assuming people subscribed to Dr. Cuttress had a clue of what happens in the "tech" sphere of youtube. You may return to your regularly scheduled blissful ignorance....

weight efficient, and very loud

@3:10 What's Linus saying behind you? "These are great for Windows 10 and minecraft!"?
Nobody cares about what Linus says
Hey Ian, awesome video as usual. Did they let you run with the module eventually ??
AMD must be happy to get it reviewed by you 🤓
I think we're all waiting for a chance to benchmark MI300 :)
@@TechTechPotatoIf you could also summarize the server’s cooling solution & communication ports, it would be appreciated. Thanks.
I bet those things are mighty pricey!! Still incredibly druelworthy though! .
Do you know any decent resellers where I can buy Supermicro servers?
lol watching Linus video bomb on the screen for half of this video
What colour cat did the mic top come from :P
How many wafers do you average per day of expo? What's the caloric intake?
100TB SSD? Linus could use those to shrink the LMG server.
Hi ❤
nice video
Linus showed us the 100TB drive 3 years ago.
Yup, I wrote about it even before his video.
I really wish the A64FX got the recognition it deserved, but sadly like the NEC Vector Engine it is fading into obscurity

😮
lol make it lighter. you need to start lifting weights to handle AI hardware :)
who is that guy on background screen ? he is a bit annoying .. i hope he won't drop anything ;)

What are you on about?
what?
@@TechTechPotato I think he found a couple of cans of the original formula Four Loco in the back of a kitchen cabinet.
@@TechTechPotato I think he's asking why you're making this video instead of showing the LTT video at 3:15. And I think by Tech Jesus he means GN?

Can it be used as an Adobe Media Encoder server for Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects ?
