    I'm not even American, and i have been developing a major admiration for President Reagan, he's approach to matters, his always calm tone, his down to earth mannerisms, you can't but just love the guy.

    President Reagan is the best President America was blessed to have. I was 12 years old when Reagan gave his farewell speech and I cried! Only time I ever cried over a President leaving the White House! R.I.P. President Ronald Reagan.

      @@itstheburnz They were tough questions, but that is a good thing. No reason that Presidents should be given soft-ball questions.

      Everything we see in this modern society is the result of an illegitimate administration. Unlike President Reagan the guy currently behind the podium can't handle anything serious. Sometimes I just wish he would turn the teleprompter around so we can understand what he's saying.

      Press was always so hostile to Reagan, super leftist. But Reagan always handled them perfect.

    Right at the beginning he mentions raising the debt ceiling to $985 billion. We are now at $22 trillion. Mindblowing how much it has grown over the last 38 years. The only comforting thing about this is that everyone else around the world is doing it too. Europe, the Russians, the Chinese, South America, etc.

    Quite the contrast between a Reagan press conference and a Biden press conference. Reagan stood confident and took command while Biden stands confused and states that he "was told he could ask questions" of selected members of the press. Times have changes.

    I sometimes compare Reagan to Trump because of their ideology, specially because of their conservative attitude. But unlike Trump, Reagan was a decent man. He was a tough leader, but he treated the press with respect. If he was alive, he would be ashamed of the current state of the party he once helped revitalized.

    He was probably a little senile but he brought back the economy, he helped businesses grow, he never had trouble finding his way down from the podium, he could find his way to the oval office when he had press conferences on the lawn, didn't sniff any children in front of the press, tried to keep those who would drain our taxes money out of the country. Even now he'd make a much better President than our current one.

    • @DrCasey
      @DrCasey Рік тому

      No, he was not "a little senile." He wasn't senile at all during the 80s and certainly not in 1981. Only 5 percent of people in their 70s have any form of dementia.
