We (husband I) also stayed at Pioneer Camp. We were absolutely thrilled with the service and delicious food. (Yona our butler was amazing! I wonder if he is still there).
One of the most unforgettable moments was hearing the lions roaring in the middle of the night. It was both scary and incredibly exciting! Thank you so much for sharing your videos - they brought back wonderful memories.
@@j3833 it’s great to hear another POV from someone who’s stayed at this camp before! The Pioneer Camp is immersive and extraordinary. I did not have the chance to meet Yona but I can attest that the service at this camp was exceptional.
Thank you for watching this fun vlog and following along for the wildlife adventures. More Serengeti videos coming soon 😄
This is so inspiring, thanks for shading your experiences Jeff
So excited for you guys! Bed head is a sign of a true safari enthusiast 😂 We visited the Serengeti last September - not enough words to describe the experience…. Safari njema!
Thanks for following along for the safari adventures! Yes, bed head has become a signature safari look 😆!

Camping(glamping) in the Serengeti for my 60th in June this year was the trip of a lifetime, I loved it! We even had 5 lions in camp on our last morning. Its the most amazing place I cant wait to return.
@@markwdavis what you described is exactly the reason I why love immersive overnight experiences - we aren’t the only ones who check into these camps 🦁
@ if you want to get close up guaranteed views of Rhino's, can I suggest Mkomazi NP in the NE of Tanzania. It has a heavily guarded Rhino sanctuary, they havent lost a single Rhino to poachers. Hardly anyone visits this park so you are most likely to have views all to yourself. I had the most spectacular close up view of a beautiful male, I could have leaned out of the jeep and touched him, I didnt but I could have! Its about a 3 hour drive from Arusha and by visiting you are supporting Rhino conservation, they also have a breeding sanctuary for African Wild Dogs, my visit there was mind blowing and a little scary
I just came back from a safari in Kenya last week, it was the best. I would like to do a safari trip in Tanzania for the great migration
