    Biggest surprise for me were the marked Centigors.
    This means we'll get more unit variants for Beastie Boys other than Gors and Minotaurs.

      @@TheMaxCloud As a beasmen player, I hope you're ready to have to pay for 4 dlc that add 0 beasman lords just to fill up the units roster. I love beasmen too, but I really hope they get at least a flc LL at some point because the paywall to fully experience them at the end is gonna be mental.

      I'm annoyed they just look so pathetically boring. Like common they literally just gave them some dashes of blue. They couldn't do anything more worthwhile? Maybe change the legs a bit more radically? Or the horns?

    17:09 I mean Flamers have always been there to remove blobs so having a variant of the Flamer that you didn't have to leave a gap for in your formation in order to shoot is nice

      Yeah, I'm excited for them. Flamers are the best flamethrower unit in the game. They utterly mulch infantry, but even with their faster than average speed, they still suffer from getting into good position and the LoS issues when melee starts.
      Making them fly solves that completely. Only problem is the angle of fire means they will not hit as many units, due to firing from above. Though this may be a case where the toggle flying button can actually be used to devastating effect. Fly your changebringers behind enemy lines. Land them and melt the enemy from behind then get out of dodge.

      They should be fast, so positioning them at flank to mow units of enemies does sound good.
      The unit that I'm feeling will be the most useful out of this roster.

      There are two factors that would make the Changebringers into one of the best units in the Tzeentch roster:
      1. Let them be able to fire while moving.
      2.Let them have at least as much ammo as the regular flamers.

      @@melo7038 I believe it's going to be like positioning a dragon for their breath attack. So, if you have experience there, then this should be the same, but it still remains to be seen.

    Considering how Tzeentch got the best units when SOC first released, I think its fair that the units relased here are a bit lackluster. Still really good.

      while the units seem a bit lacklustre (though I'd say that the Centigors of Tzeentch do look a bit better than the Tzaangors) the Lord and Hero look absolutely fantastic
      like just looking at the Exalted Hero it looks like CA really took in the complaints they got back when Champions of Chaos released where people were saying that everything just looked like reskins, they went above and beyond with that guy's design

    I don't like having multiple casters in my army, sharing the Winds. The addition of Non-Caster Lords and Heroes are a good addition for me. I can build them as tanky fighters and the wizards can do their blasting.

      I agree. More than two casters with different Lore of Magics is overkill in my opinion unless you go for a hero only army.

      Casters usually have a +5 winds of magic reserve capacity.
      So let's say you have a base of 100 winds and you have 20 magic users. That's 200 winds of magic.
      I will say it's a shame they only get +5 each. That's one medium spell per wizard.

    The Chaos Sorcerer Lord gives forsaken and spawn melee attack and perfect vigor while the Chaos Lord gives Warrios and Chosen 10% physycal resistance. I imagine the Tzeench Chaos Lord will be the same.

    I think they keep bringing up the beaks for 2 reasons:
    1: They really wanted to but couldn't
    2: They're basically indirectly telling us their hands are tied by GW on a lot more stuff than just that, but they're not gonna basically complain on a public forum

    Both the new melee lord and new melee hero being anti large AP fighters could be boring. BUT, what we've seen so far with Tzeentch's new options is better than what happened when champions of chaos gave both Khorne and Tzeentch a new hero and lord option that were literally identical. I still don't know how i'm supposed to visually tell apart Khorne's warrior lord and exalted champion, if there even is any visual difference. Same goes for the mortal tzeentch sorcerers. The new tzeentch lord having a shield, and both lord and hero having very different models is a massive step up in at least improving unit identification at a glance.

    Most important question is if that hero provides casualty replenishment. If it provides casualty replenishment, that would be a god-tier buff for Tzeentch that fixes biggest problem.

      This for sure. Even if they don't change a single thing about Kairos' faction giving them the exalted hero makes the campaign wayyyyy less frustrating.

    On the top of anti-large footlords, they would be so much more useful if they stayed in place when receiving a charge

    Honestly I think the Exalted Flamers are straight-up worse than the regular Flamers. The normal flamers deal enough damage to single entities to kill them really quickly, and Exalted Flamers are useless against infantry/monstrous infantry in comparison. Exalted Flamers are also projectile magnets being single entities. I see the Changebringers as an absolute win.

    We should've gotten the Firewyrm of Tzeentch, the first Greater Spawn in game. That would've paved the way for the other chaos gods getting their own greater chaos spawns, since the ones we got are just recolours, whilst the greater variants are VERRRRRRRRY different.

      I feel like they're probably trying to save content for future DLCs. I originally assumed that's why we didn't get chaos lords or exalted heroes for tzeentch with this update. Which does make me wonder what else they could add in later DLCs at all at this point as far as lords and heroes go
      also I think it's worth nothing that practically everything we've seen so far involves some degree of asset reuse. There's some original armor and stuff, but in terms of actual base models and animations, including the cathay monsters, everything is based on existing assets.

      @@DumbassCatboy I know, they could still have innovated with the reskins. The Tzaangors could've had stalk and dual daggers for anti-infantry and make them throw knives too(it would fit Tzeentch's roster, making it even more specialised), like the gnoblars, the centigors could've had javelins and make them a longer range skirmish cav, something that Tzeentch and the Beastmen don't have, maybe give them anti-large, but we got units that are already existing, but with a bit of buffs on top. Tzeentch didn't really need another normal cav unit with some AP, since the normal knights are good for staying in fights whilst the lances versions are good for cycle charging and the charge bonus removes the need for AP. This is what pisses me off, no fucking innovation, no cool ideas.

      @@renhardhalim so? The mutalith vortex beast is an undivided creature. It also is not a chaos spawn, but the Firewyrm is. Also, the Firewyrm could be ranged.

    Basically stopped playing TWW3 just before Shadows of Short Change, it hasn't been cheap enough, nor have they added enough to it, to get me to start playing again. Will probably come back to it at some point, have over 2000 hours between TWW2 and TWW3, but not just yet, think I'll wait for Thrones of Delay and see what that brings...

      Okay. I don't understand how the cost of a couple of drinks at the disco is too expensive, but ok, everyone spends the money as they want. An evening at the disco certainly lasts much less than many hours of gaming, as far as I'm concerned

    Heyo. Nice video thanks for your insight.
    I would really look forward to updated roster tier lists of the SoC races, maybe even incoporating their legendary lords and heros in terms of rating their strength. I think it might be a nice time (when the DLC updates are implemented) because these races won't likely get more attention in the next DLCs. If thats not the sort of content you want to make thats fine, you do what is fun for you :) I would just appreciate your opinion and guide in terms of which units are viable and stuff. Have a nice day ^^

    They need to transfer Khorne Minotaurs to Beastmen while we're at it. It's okay addition I like Lord a lot, looks great... hero not my fav Oldhammer design but it's nice to have someone to hold line while horrors blast them.

    I do wish the hero had dual sword, Tzeentch having an anti-infantry hero would be nice for cutting through elite infantry, save you on magic and better fight dwarves
    The flying flamers sounds insane for melting flanks and deleting archers from the backline, flying them over the lines and landing them for a nice flanking sweep and taking to the skies to replenish barrier and be safe from cavalry

    I think the flamers on discs might help when you have line of sight issue but they will also be picked of by other ranged unit fast by flying

    Not gonna complain. Picked up Kairos for the first time a month ago, and it was one of my favorite campaigns. Kairos is an AC-130, and his army is so fun to just watch light things up. The flamer units are also so satisfying to use. I'm glad they are adding a melee hero and lord just to add some diversity to the roster, though the "Tzeentch is halberds" does get a little old.

    Tomb Kings have Reanimate. There's also something unique going on with the Dark Elves and the High Elves somewhat. Dread Lords with the Crossbows and Princesses have the Darken the Skies ability, Dread Lords sword and Shield have a Passive ability called Kindle the Fury which is 8MA in an AoE as well as giving weapon strength and Beastmasters have an ability that gives boosts to Monsters and Monstrous cavalry and chariots

    The changebringers actually sound pretty interesting I thought. You're able to reposition constantly and very easily and it's also harder for the enemy to punish you since you can just take off into the skies. I think it will also allow them to be good at harrassing archers, since they're so fast you can constantly trigger their skirmish mode and shoot them in the back. But we'll have to wait and see how they do

    It will be weird if Centigors won't be available for Vilitch. As he has access to Tzaangors already from the Spawn Cave building. Maybe get them from the upgrade to that building?

    It would be cool if the melee tzeentch lord also had a small magic line, so not the full spell list and maybe increased wom cost, but just access to the basic spells would be thematically appropriate. Along with a unique line that boosts some units, small factionwide buffs

    Do note that characters on a disc probably can't be knocked down by big things. It probably still won't be enough to beat Tyrion or Archaon, but then it really shouldn't be either. But is it enough to fight a dragon or a mammoth? It could be. Could he be tanky enough to actually tank for blue/pink horrors? Quite possibly. Either way, it's a melee character available early game and a lot of people have been asking for that.

    I'm looking forward to the changebringers hope they got some decent ammo to kill stuff with though also wondering what path to glory abilities the hero and lord are going to have in the WoC as I doubt they will share all of them with the spellcasters

    Agree that Tzeentch-ie got a bit boring and generic additions for SoC 2.0, especially compared to Cathay. However, the basic stuf introed for Tzeentch were pretty great, compared to basic stuff from Cathay. So things kinda balance out between the two IMO. Overall, I'm already quite happy how things are shaping up for SoC and If Kislev stuff doesn't massively disapoint I might actually pick the DLC up finally

    Personally i think Tzeentch is going to be in a pretty good place now there weaknesses have been addressed and with the new units and the ones they already got its flushed out there roster pretty well ( plus the bonus units for beastmen and warriors of chaos are nice too )

    I appreciate they are willing to "admit" to their faults and start taking this a little more seriously. I'm however afraid that a lot of people will take this as an effort that is simply too little too late, as this could just be CA putting content we expected in the base game behind the DLC, unless they Tzeentch lords and such become available to everyone.

    The Lords or Hero's with useful bound spells are what we look at as helpful to a pool of magic. Leadership auras [circles] help weaker morale units or allies? You look at unit inclusion or cost in practical use..How much and what does the build chain require to gain it?

    The Cathay stuff showed off last week was definitely more impressive thatn this but I'd say Tzeentch got some pretty good units on the first go so I don't mind too much but I really hope what we see for Kislev is good.

    Alot of Tzeentch units seem to be QOL improvements\trade-offs rather than strict upgrades.
    The melee lord and hero are there because Tzeentch only has pure caster lords and heroes, so I currently find heroes underwhelming except for their use with their passive skill, so having a melee alternative makes that buff source also useful as a combat unit without doubling up on spell redundancy.
    Flamers kinda didn't make sense at first to me either, but thinking about it later, them being a multi entity unit gives them better AOE vs infantry compared to chariots, and giving them flying makes their targeting much easier vs ground based flamers. Depending on statline I could see them getting some (though unlikely wide) use.
    Centigors seem like they're there to fill the space of a 3rd(6th) new unit rather than a specific role. I suspect they'll be more useful in a Beastmen army for their barrier, than in Tzeentch's army.
    As for the weapon choices for all units melee units to have Halberds - that just seems to be flavour so they don't just feel like all the other chaos factions. (same reason Slannesh has no ranged)

    Honestly, same thoughts as your video on Cathay; these additions definitely make it more worth it, but still, this should have come with the DLC on release.

    I think the lords and heroes will get their own unique short skill tree because all the other lords and heroes from Champions of Chaos have them

    I'm cool with those changes. I really dont care about those new flamers, but the other ones are welcome. I mainly play Beastman and WoC, so new units are welcome. I like to have style and diversity in my armies, specially when i have Archaon with his squad of Chaos heroes from each gods.

    I think that the way things are going we getting less and less unique stuff. I 'm really concerned that for Thrones of Decay, we will get a green gors, a green centigors, a green ogre and a green chaos sorcerer

    If the centigors have barrier I think cycle charging would actually be pretty viable for them. I'll still be waiting for a sale on this though.
    Edit: Also, they should let beast-men get access to the MoC units like Khornotaurs and Tzentigors

    I wasn't expecting much on the Tzeentch side of things because frankly there really isn't much left CA could give them without having to make stuff up, you can really feel them straining for inspiration here (and against GW's limitations). Changebringers was one of the last things and even that is just a mash-up of two already existing units.
    Still, at least the hero is a funny and surprising addition.

    I have to ask, what is the point in having charge defence and charge reflect on a character with a flying mount, as the Tzeentch lord has? You would have to land him in order to get the most out of those skills, which negates the mobility benefit of being flying and being able to charge isolated units.

    It visible they are reusing models and stuff, but they at least are fixing the gaps in the race's roster. I just that the next DLCs look less like a last hour project

    This is the kind of stuff you'd get from a mod. Basically redundant units with slightly changed models that only serves to bloat the roster. Its not bad. Just expected something more unique from the actual developer.

      I kinda agree. I mean I am not against re using assets and most animations but there should be at least a few NEW animations to the new unit and ofc at least a few interesting skills

    I honestly think that every unit released don't need to be "the best" in their category. Like having some redundancy with cost variation is nice because you don't start campaign at Tier V anyway so they can completely be legitimate before end game. Also you have to consider the existence of Multiplayer where unit tends to work differently than in campaign since they have to be cost effective or fill a gap in a roster. Like i don't think you have an effective armor piercing cavalry that doesn't cost a lot in the Tzeench roster so depending on matchup they might work really well. Like they might be good vs dwarves in Domination since centigors probably have vanguard deployement.

    I expect the flying flammer are going to be easier to use with less friendly kills. Also better to flank with them, for someone like me who have a hard time to not decimate my troop with them, their above position will be precious.

      @@sim.frischh9781 It's literally what Rich says at the beginning of the blog. They hoped to release this week, stuff came up that needed to be fixed in priority, DLC is otherwise on track to be released next week, assuming that the stuff they fix can be fixed on time.

      yeah! totally agree! Unknown halberd fits tzeentch really well but there is a LL who actually has a sword so why not give him two big swords or heck at least a big mace like they give Cathays melee lord a big warhammer. Really hope the skills make up for it

      Issue there is that you're working under the constraints of warhammer theme and lore, Dual-wielding is more of a Khorne theme, and therefore relegated to that chaosfaction instead.

    They should have given them blue hell cannon's to help with sieges. Save 1h of spell casting to soften up the defenders

    Hope the hero gets replenishment for the army. Otherwise, nothing except the flying flamers is really exciting for me. I go full-on horrors, flamers, and heroes from turn 1 until I'm done with the campaign. It's nice for the multi-player guys, I guess, to have melee options.

      Do remember that those units are in addition to the ones included when SoC was initially released. Tzeentch had by far the best toys of the DLC, these additions are aimed to give Tzeentch more versatile tools in battle.

    16:00 Actually those units are gonna be very ussefull in Siedges since u can use their charge to throw enemies off the walls killing them instantly. This is how I actually use Doom Knights most of the time. In this case u can also attack enemies from above just like Dragon Breath so yeah, gonna burn 'em.

    SoC started as a Tzeentch-focused DLC so I wasn't really expecting much to be added aside from the lord and hero. Both units are just "reskins" of existing units and that's fine; Tzeentch initially got a bunch of new stuff.
    As a Tzeentch main, will I use any of this? Aside from (almost-certainly) the flamers, probably not. I find melee characters (in any game) to be meh at best and I expect these to fit that as well. (I'll try them at least once each just to confirm but I'm not expecting to continue to use to them on purpose.) The Centigors would need to be an amazing Tier 1 or 2 unit for me to use them otherwise I'll just use the marauders they already have. Higher than that and I expect to just (wait to) use Chaos Knights (but I will use them at least once to see if they may have some sort of unexpected edge).

    I love the Tzeentch flamer style units, but they need some way to refill their very limited ammo. Something around casting spells refilling ammo would be amazing.

    every dwarf comander has this charge deflcetion, only lets them take more damage angainst monsters when they dont fall when hit

    Exalted hero of tzeentch can be a dedicated flying anti-large melee unit which is actually an okay addition to tzeentch. Screamers are a little low tier for later on and they should outstat cockers quite a lot.

    Flamers rely on their horizontal attacks to be effective, don't they? And wouldn't it have been better to give some kind of Gor-tier archer unit rather than Centigors for a faction with Chaos Knights? Could have called them Burning Bowgors or even Bros of the Pink Fire (in reference to the Sisters of Averlorn).

    What could have made the Tzeentch Melee heroes stand out a bit more would have been to allow them to have Cocktatrice as a mount choice, as it was possible in olde editions.

    For a lad with 3 heads, it would be more logical he has two weapons since the attention's split well for that. ;D
    Lord and hero are too similar, making the Hero anti-infantry specialist with two blades instead of anti-large as well would be better.
    Barier on cavalry is always great since you can circle-charge without any HP loss, Centigors sound useful.

    Instead of Centigors, Minotaurs would have being a better choice, but originally Tzeench got the cool units from the beginning so I was not expecting much, now only Kislev remains and if we don`t have Ungols is going to suck.

      You can buy 3 and play the big Immortal Empires map. 1 and 2 are basically Faction DLCs for 3 now. So you would have the factions from 1 and 3.

      @@franny4091 They can, although they suffer penalties for living anywhere that isn't the mountains. Also the big 'Immortal Empires' map in 3 is massive, and you won't run out of dwarfy places to live for a long time. It's about 4x as big as the Warhammer 1 map.

    I'm one of the people that's held off buying SOC, but always planned to at some point. Should I buy it now to show that I support the efforts they've made? Or hold out for as sale/discount as planned? I'm torn and just what other opinions.

      I've decided that I'll finally buy it after these additional units are in. While somewhat lackluster, I probably would have been okay with the pricetag at release had everything been in at the time. Still, I think it should be $20 US rather than $25, but that's not outside the realm of a %20 off sale at some point either.

    Lore Fail, Chaos Lords of Tzeentch should also be CASTERS. On the table top, Tzeentch lords where also wizzards (same stats as meele but added magic), they ended up not being as tough as say a khorn warrior, because you had to split you magic gear allowance between meele and casters (or dedicate to either, thus not being as good as a pure either caster or wizzard), here they could have done the same thing, not through gear, but through trait points and where you sink them.
