I was in Hong Kong 3 times while in the U.S. Navy. I loved the people and was treated very well by them. I made a point of riding the Peak Tram up to the tea house and had a light lunch and some tea.
Yes no internet,no smartphone, we read master Q and got out in the street and explore the real world after school. We had to pay a fee to go to someone house who had a color TV to watch our favorite cartoon(Japanese Anime) this was before there was cable TV. It was the fun children even when a kind of poor.
the second song of this video moved me to tears that i needed tissue. I am not emotional person usually but very sensible to music well composed , arranged and sung with a musical voice. Anyone else is like me ? Also i want to say the young woman at 4:03 reminded me someone.

當年11歲，很懷念當年斗零壹毫可以買零食及到街上玩耍。🤔🤣😅😜🤑
😊這是6/70年前，街邊零食。馬蹄，蘿白，花生，砵仔糕，紅荳沙，蔴糊，白粥及(油炸鬼）等，不是壹毫〔10cents〕有交易。
到今日，不是過百至2/3百倍嗎?
我們不必去爭論，要是云了解及仔細分析個中原因吧。
今日香港的繁榮興盛, 有賴全體市民的努力奮鬥. 我們必須珍惜及弘揚, 同心志壯異心破亡...............

Tear up! I was a kid grew up in the 1970s.
@0.15小學生時常食鹵味, 一次食後病足一星期, 至今冇再掃街.
二戰和平後的一年，我就在旺角亞皆老街。祖母背看我，在路擺檔，售賣'值錢'的財物。
正當向西一看，竟看到七色的彩虹！
好的開始，和平了。不再有'戰爭'！
雖是，和平呀。但'人民'生活仍是艱苦過！'米是配給的，要到'指定'配給站，憑'米証'買！
幸好，這種措施亦很快取清。恢後自由購買，不用担心沒有'飯'食。
到今天，亦經過不下數次'無飯食'危機。也不是'無風浪，無驚險'渡過。
'有信心面對困難'，總會應到而解。

Yes the tram ride up the Peak the spectacular views are fantastic, especially at night. I remember drinking ice lemon tea there.
