They could post these types of highlights from pretty much every Five Nations game from the 4 point try era and I'd watch every one.
I was at that game .Ref had a howler
One of the first games I remember watching with my dad
14:35 Trevor Evans’ “not a dangerous tackle”. 😂
A definite red card, this day and age, even then in the 70s it looked bad enough for an ''early bath''.
Cela s'appelle "une cravate".
@@MrJeepsters 👍
He allowed the play to go on as Evans still had his head on his shoulders.
@@redditchtacklefair I don't think Evans was in danger, rather the Scotsman Evans nearly beheaded! It wasn't malicious, just an instinctive grab at a quicker player. The reaction of the other Scots speaks volumes-they all knew it wasn't deliberate foul play. These days a player would run in from 50m away and try to start a fight, whilst the others would join in.
Proper rugby. No lifting players in sight.
Thank you for these wonderful games. If you could have Wales -Ireland 1975 and France - Wales 1977, it would be marvelous 😎😇👍
RIP Charlie Faulkner.
Wales and the magnificent Pontypool front row in full stride. Great to hear strikes against the head again! Way it should be instead of the feed into the second row they allow today.
🏉great legends behind the shadows on the pitch
Geoff Wheel throws a punch. There's a surprise.......
Charlie as we remember him
Thank you. Do you also have: Scotland-Wales 1975 ?
When the tip of the rugby ball was in the ground for penalties/conversions
I was one
Lol, that high tackle would have resulted in at least 10 minutes stoppage and probably a red card in the modern game.
What's with Phil Bennett's bald patch?
Scotland were absolutely abject at what was one of our lowest ebbs.
These are great. How did you get them from the BBC or Irish TV? This is when rugby was at its best. I have read that this French referee pulled a calf muscle during the game and should have gone off. He was limping around after a while.
