more than 20 years later ad they are still one of the best bands to enjoy at a live performance. That's Quality!
early blind guardian was the best
Fuck yes Marcus's Iced Earth shirt!
These guys are like a myth to me! They really rocks! In 1995 I was 14. I used to play in a metal band.. we performed many BlindGuardian covers (Banished from Sanctuary, Walhalla, Lord of Rings, Bright Eyes etc.. ) I still listen to them on Spotify every day!
Hansi was not vocally at his best - yet - but you can feel the raw energy of early Blind Guardian. Also, I love Hansi's bass playing.
Hell, this was the last year he actually could sing Somewhere and Imaginations stuff on full performance
Super! Golden age of Blind Guardian
Andre is impeccable as always. That solo is just as gorgeous played live.
Danke Danke Danke für diese Perlen !!
My favourite Blind Guardian era. I really miss these times! Thanks a lot for the upload!
Another decade has passed, missing it more and more the further we go.
This is rare ..., Hansi still played bass while performing vocal duties ..., superb
And its best of all to see so much energy on stage.
such a great song..
GREAT !!!
Really awesome performance! Thanks for the upload!
Well, yes, ANATO was vocally trickier that any other album they had done before. But it was for their 1998's 'Nightfall in Middle Earth' that Hansi gave up bass duties and at the same time they moved towards a more epic and less speed-metal driven material. To me it was very much an artistic choice, they got more and more complex but lost something in terms of raw energy.
Hansi's vocals started to be very good from 1995 (IFTOS) on (imho) :)
Yeah, I'll admit I don't think Hansi had to give up the bass at all. Not to mention that they're going back to this style as of late 2021, though a little more thrash-y.
Thank you for uploading!!! ♥
THANKS for uploading... awesome
nice video man! Thx for upload. Hansi looks very true with the bass in his hand ^^.
nice, surfing on the web and a find this
super !
Awesome! Hansi needs to get back on bass! You could actually hear it when he played!
Happy bday hansi
just check out the performance on w.o.a. 2016 and that crowd there
Every German Metalhead knows they are are Legends
@@thommymidgard3810 im german but no metalhad anymore. Still vibing to some songs of hansi ❤
yes, he gave up bass after 1995's "Imagination from the other side"
I really don't know "where" you are hearding the bass playing.
The drums make a sound that is similar to that of the sound of hitting a metal string with a pick (that metal click sound). I think it was mistaken for the bass sound.
Zeiten als Hansi noch gut gesungen und die Band noch Metal gespielt hat.
more songs from this concert?
Thank you anyway, BG destroi!
I can imagine it being a bit tricky playing bass and singing at the same time. They probably couldn't pull it off performing certain songs from 'A Night at the Opera', that are more challenging vocally, for example.
And what kind fo bass is that? It's awesome! And very bright...
I really think Hansi should have keep playing bass. He looks imponent with the instrument at stage.
Wo in Mannheim?
Alte Feuerwache?
Capitol war das 🤘🏼
Well... They mix it way too damned low though!
Soooo
Ahhhh, warum sagt er immer "so"? Meine Fresse!
So, hier sind wir mal mit einem von einer deutschen Band so, stell dich mal vor so ...
