At first, I was expecting more of a mountain bike trail, but it looked in pretty decent shape.
Lots of cool history on your trip.

Yea, it turns to single track pretty quick but it’s not rough. The only real elevation is from going over some areas where the ground shifted. Other than that, roots and some railway ties

Man you've been busy! Singletrack so it's a true adventure. I don't think I've seen or heard of it before so nice find. I'll have to put that on the list. Thanks for a great video.

It’s pretty cool, and there’s some others in the area. I planned on hitting the Kaymoor mine trail as well but I spent too much time on this one.

Just south of Thurmond, on the West side of the river, is the BSA Summit Bechtel Reserve camp. I worked a summer at that camp and rode out from camp to this trail starting at Thurmond and going north. I heard that this trail went all the way to Fayetteville but I didn't follow it that far. Super cool area, I would love to come back with a bike and just see what else is out there.

I’m not sure how much further you can get north. If you go up
The hill you can catch the Kaymore mine trail

Perfect timing. Will be in the area in the end of April. Have a gravel bike no suspension . I am hoping Rend trail and Southside trail are doable.

You definitely should! It’s a pretty cheap, healthy hobby! Especially if you already have a bike.
