The Fokker is the main reason I started studying aeronautics, I saw it for the first time when I was 8 years old and fell in love with airplanes since then 🤍🇦🇷
Wow!! Nice one Argentina Air Force! This Americano is very happy and proud of the Argentina government for keeping some of these beautiful classics flying 😍 ❤️ The amount of money and effort keeping these majestic birds in the air is significant to say the least. Awesome to see this gorgeous Fokker 28 looking like a new bird! Kudos Argentina Air Force 👏 🙌 👌 👍 😊❤
@@LaMaAviation Here is what I posted twice before but got deleted: This is both a very positive and very negative sight for me. It was the first plane and jet I flew. Back in -72. It was the first time I visited the capital of my country. We brought with us the young daughter of a working companion of my mothers. She was just out of school, like me that summer. She was mowing to a town south of the capital for good. Her parents had already moved. Her older sister stayed back in our hometown for work... On the 23rd of December that year her older sister with also my main teacher for my first three years was aboard, with 40 others and 3 crew flying south for Christmas. On approach to the airport it chrashed at speed into the woods. Both the two I knew and 38 others died. 5 survived. Why they had incorrect height and location is said to be unclear, but at least one of the crew had private conversations on phone with their loved ones while approaching the airport. So not any obvious technical problem with the plane. This was the first fatal acciden with an F-28 jet.

Argentina cannot afford to write this aircraft off because it is still useful and funds to replace it aren't made available to the armed forces.
Mr Fokker was born in Indonesia
