May be a bit late, but it depends on where in Lehighton. If you live in town, then gunshots from hunters can't be heard and fireworks are only heard on holidays like July 4th, New Years, Labor Day, Memorial Day etc... If you live out of town in the mountains or woods, then gunshots from hunters is significantly more common and with fireworks it also depends. If you live outside town in the flat farmland, then that would likely be quietest. This area does need more attention, for it's been hit very hard with economic decline through the years, so it's only been recent that things are starting to pick up again. There are events in town sprinkled across the year, such as for October fest they call it rocktober fest), Christmas in July, Christmas Tree lighting in the park, farmers market in the park around the spring and summer time, and some more which I am probably forgetting. Overall, the area is pretty quiet, with some cool things to check out, beautiful scenery, and a deep history. I recommend it for anyone to check out!
