The Ruler Shuffle shows that while Faker isn't the mechanical god anymore (atleast not on every champ, i'd argue he still is on Azir) he's got a clutch factor that can turn virtually any match/series around. The shuffle wasn't "technically" mechanically impressive, it's the fact that he and only he would shuffle in on full vision while being 3.5k down against a team with baron (the team who had the statistically fastest wins with baron buff that year) stopping in front of Ruler to bait out the flash, flash a millisecond before and then shuffle him into hell. The sheer balls, the level of calm a player must have to do something like that while under such pressure. And to add unto it, the fact that his team trusts him so much that they responded immediatly without hesitation to follow up on whatever mad shit he was about to cook up. That's why he's the goat.

It's true that a lot of player now already surpassed Faker, but personally no one can surpass Faker as the Greatest of All Time. Yes sometimes Faker losts a game, sometimes he got solo killed, sometimes his plans failed, sometimes he made a mistake, but aren't all players like that? They are humans they are not perfect but Faker almost reach Perfections and the only one who able to do that. Personally, i think Faker set ups a bar of parameter for other players to achieve and surpass. That is why he deserve to be in the Hall of Legends.
i think its poetic, Ruler was the person that stopped faker from winning his fourth in 2017; and through Ruler he won in 2023 (Varus R against Karma / Azir R against Varus)

Yes, he should be the first inductee. Theres no question about it. He's the greatest to ever do it. Retired or not.
I was out of town, doing a bit of visiting. I heard my friend KkOma had finally taken the time to settle down in the countryside. Rightfully so, after what he’d been through, with all the pent-up stress and frustration built up over the years of coaching the most successful KR team in League. “How have things been buddy?” I asked, as I saw my man step out of the house upon hearing my car come in the drive-through. “All good, life’s been a lot more chill, now that I’ve retired,” he answered. “Hey, wanna check out my animals out back? I’ve taken up farming as a hobby with my free time,” as he motioned over to the back gate. We headed out and he started introducing me to some of the livestock, mentioning how he had named them after his players, as the unhinged animals they were. Just then, I was hit by an unbearable stench. With my eyes watering uncontrollably, I questioned through gritted teeth, “What in the hell is that smell?” He looked over knowingly and said: "Ah. Faker? The goat is never washed.”

I missed those years when he showed more reactions to his plays and where he looked like his shotcalling was so loud lol. Now, the comms seem so calm haha
0:38 the most impressive thing is that while he is being ganked by 2 people he still takes his time to get the cannon
3:46 he debuted, he chose violence, he chose to be a legend.
01:04 it’s just goated!! amazing!!!!!!!
This well-edited Montage of him is the best narrative to his legacy, better than any verbal introduction or praise could have been.
Faker 🔥 Good luck this worlds all the best ✌️
The problem with adding an active player is that he can still add more plays. This video now needs to be updated.
8:40 I still have little clue as to what the heck was happening here till this day.
go 0.25×
Theres some great analysis of it out there...
The quick summary is: Faker QSSd the Deathmark, Ryu missed most of his Qs and cancelled 2 basic attacks and Faker didnt miss any of his spells or basic attacks and his Ult wasnt QSSd
It was a time when QSS can nullify Zed R so he wasn't affected. Still an AMAZING play especially during that time.
@@mojin7470It's more accurate to say Faker dodged it.
He blinked while Ryu was casting Q/a tenth of a second earlier so he read perfectly when Ryu was going to Q
@@lorenzosotroppofigo1641 Whatever dude... i just gave a quick summary of the facts and fact is, the Qs missed their target. I really dont care what you want to call it.
4:27 this proves alot that Faker is the pioneer of every League techniques or playstyle that you already know right now (2024) on the game😁League pro players that time didn't know how to do "sidestepping" on the game but as you can see Faker have some idea of how does "sidestepping" works on the game even thought it wasn't even invented during that time😊even League pro players said that Faker's idealism of playing the game was ahead of every League pro player during that time😌that's why he's the GOAT😉he fave the way for every League legend pro players that you know today😎
No matter what region you support, we all have to recognize Faker as the greatest. The 3 most memorable to me are the JDG Shurima Shuffle, the Zed 1v1, and Orianna Shockwave finds them all.
Bro these plays are giving me goosebumps every time I watch them , League wouldn't be the same without Faker. the GOAT
Amazing to see that I did watch faker since his first LCK split, and all this video is only half of what I could see of him.
This man's been good for so long you can literally see the game growing.
man, this thing its already outdated, holy
Four time world champion. LEGEND!!!
5:37 man he already can taste the win on this one but the DRX heartbreak
Its insane so think that it was one baron play away from being a back to back worlds cup 2022 2023
10 minutes of huge plays... and there are just so many more. The GOAT.
We couldn't have wished for a better GOAT than Faker. Extremely skilled, charismatic and a unbreakable mental. Everybody loves him! Truly one of a kind...
UNKILLABLE DEMON KING
Ryu being dragged from his dungeon to have what was probably a really depressing moment for him shown again.
His smile after that akali triple kill says "yup. I still got it"
Ryu gonna make the hall of legends for how much that clip gets played
Ryu: Here we go again, But this time for a legendary purpose.
there is a clip of one of his first plays i remember watching, where he is on jayce and blind snipes a lulu on botlane. what a legend. Go Faker!
Cheers to your 11 (and many more) years of legacy, my king!
Amazing player who have been playing and performing consistently at the highest level for the longest time. Truly the GOAT of League of Legends
The First, The Best, and The Eternal Legend
What a beautiful video
Wish uri Hyeok all the best, be healthy and happy
Watching all the plays, I'm missing the Lissandra E E W into RNG's baron attempt at MSI 22 Finals but I guess the Ksante escape against GENG in MSI 23 is a good clip as well.
The disrespect most of the world had towards Faker last year before Worlds was astonishing. No "expert" had T1 winning and almost no one had Faker in their top 20.
imagine having that many game changing plays in a single career at the highest level..for years...worthy of the term legend
Lee Sanghyuk Hyung you are the pride of e sports ❤🫂
The catch on Ruler in losing situation, and win on it was so amazing
It's true that a lot of player now already surpassed Faker, but personally no one can surpass Faker as the Greatest of All Time. Yes sometimes Faker losts a game, sometimes he got solo killed, sometimes his plans failed, sometimes he made a mistake, but aren't all players like that? They are humans they are not perfect but Faker almost reach Perfections and the only one who able to do that. Personally, i think Faker set ups a bar of parameter for other players to achieve and surpass. That is why he deserve to be in the Hall of Legends.
The Riven sidestep is so plain nasty ❤
Wish to see a play like that again.
2:24 "the most clean shockwave" damn I wish we had a superlative for the adjective "clean"
Sublime, exquisite, extraordinary, perfect, we can still think of more maybe.
impeccable!!
i think its poetic, Ruler was the person that stopped faker from winning his fourth in 2017; and through Ruler he won in 2023 (Varus R against Karma / Azir R against Varus)
Ryu: it’s that time of the year again
gaaahhhhddd daaamnnn i got chills! and rightfully so that LCK gets this Hall of Legends montage!
5 month later he did it again.
Ryu: Hi, Ruler
lol
5:39 that teardrop by GOAT himself
He's always there, and he's everywhere.
(What was that Vel'koz clip tho)
For anyone saying "You cant induct someone into a hall of fame before they retire...", Faker is so great, so many levels above everyone else, that a Hall of Legends without him wouldn't be worth a damn.
Yes, he should be the first inductee. Theres no question about it. He's the greatest to ever do it. Retired or not.
Even though i stopped playing league since 2019, i still watch T1's matches to this day
Form is temporary, but Faker is forever!
Im so proud of myself to have had witnessed all of these before
El es increible ❤
"Faker's shockwave will find them all!" Is SUCH an iconic call
at 0:44 he still is able to kill cannon :D wp
singed got it. not sure if u meant him or not.
@@resh121 you can literally see +75gold on Faker :D
@@resh121 he last hit the cannon before pressing R

Truly the best of the best. We love u Faker.
With my eyes watering uncontrollably, I questioned through gritted teeth, “What in the hell is that smell?”
He looked over knowingly and said: "Ah. Faker? The goat is never washed.”
