Very interesting. So glad I clicked on this to see what you are doing. Love your “let’s see what we get” attitude. Will be watching to see what you do next.
I just found your channel& I'm glad I did. I've had a lot of Challenges over the last several years - starting with stage 4 head & neck Cancer, major surgery cut up my mouth, the matastised to my neck & 2nd major surgery Sep 11 2006 they slit my throat. Anyways, I've been suffering from major depression. A few weeks ago I started watching crafting videos. My style is kinda modern farmhouse mixed with girly French country. So I wanted to try my hand at the jugs. I just found your channel about an hour ago! It's great - I like your let's just try this attitude - the foam sink qas a surprise, I didn't know u could shave the foam like that!! Ready to watch more! Cindy in California
I’m glad you found me! I really hope you find relief from depression. I do believe that exploring creative projects can really bring joy and happiness so I am wishing that for you 💕✨
The expanding foam that ate the sink mold......soooooo very funny! Literally LOL But in all seriosness, the faux limestone sink looks wonderful. It is now the inspriration for me along with using airdry clay and or aluminium foil for changing pot's shape. Thank you.
You are such a joy to watch! I find myself totally engulfed in you and your projects! Very glad I found you these are my fav things to do in the creating world!❤❤❤❤❤
I'm really amazed how well that foam works! I've seen videos were people use mud and water and dry rubbed it on for an aged and rustic look. Thanks for all the great ideas. Also people rub moss on pots too. An idea for your terra cotta cylinders, maybe turn them into rustic candle holders for your patio? And use those flameless candles with the remote? Just a thought. Keep up the good work, the projects turned out beautiful.
Of all the ideas, candle holders is what I keep coming back to. I’m going to have to do it! I also really want to try the moss. So many ideas to try! 🤩
This was so creative and inspiring I’m DEFINITELY trying the foam technique. Ps. Ur personality, voice and accent is literally top notch. Ur voice is and accent reminds me of the moms voice from Bluey!! Any other moms of toddlers will kno what I mean lol❤
Wow, I was really surprise there with every vessel project that you put together. I think that they came out pretty good. I laughed like you did with the foamy stuff. I didn’t know where that was going, but it turned out to be quite the piece from a distance, it looks like limestone I love all of olive Ateliers would love to own a piece someday or copy one of the pieces ha ha ha thank you so much for your inspiration. Be blessed.❤
The chimney like terracotta could sit on terracotta saucers . If you want to plant into them i would seal the open bottom and then make a few small holes for drainage.
I am in love with your "limestone" sink! I think it would be so fun to try this, even tho it looks so fragile I'm not sure what I'd use it for. I actually wonder if you could spray paint it, b/c it looks/feels a lot like styrofoam, & if you spray paint that---it melts! Only one way to find out...! Have you looked at videos on making hypertufa, which is Portland cement, peat moss, & vermiculite, done in a mold much like you were doing, only w/ cardboard boxes, as you apparently must rip the mold apart. It is used for planters & such & is much more solid than the foam. But more work, & not as much fun! Love your attitude & your channel!
I made a bubbling cauldron and a faux fire scene with this stuff for halloween. I used spray paint to add the colors. Worked perfectly and did NOT melt the foam
I saw a woman who removed the bottom of terracotta pots and planted in them. They look like potted plants but the roots were in the ground. Her pots were larger and she used them for trees. But you could be inspired to plant other types of plants.
That must be what they were originally intended for in my garden! It makes a lot of sense. I’ve got plans to have some pots in the garden so could incorporate this idea 💕✨
Not quite there, but lots of good ideas. Thanks. BTW, I have used drywall mud or maybe you call it "joint compound", or "mud". Then just grab a clump of it and smear it on the surface, and maybe even put it onto a "lazy susan" type thing that spins, to mimic a hand thrown pot, being sure to leave finger marks. It is great stuff, and very inexpensive. You can't put it on too thick but in layers otherwise it will crack and probably chip off. Be sure to scuff up the surface of everything, even the plastic with very gritty sand paper to ensure that your additions will not chip off. I would use a shellac based primer first, as well.🥰 Great idea to look at real aged pots for inspiration. Thanks again.
Hi there, thank you for the wonderful ideas. For a little constructive criticism? Use a better and faster method of mixing your paint well by using a drill and rotary mandrill. It goes a lot faster and gives you a better mix. Thank you so much for a great video.
@@phoebedoeseverything oki love watching all of you crafters and wish I were talented but I just see those girls sanding their’s lightly and they say it gives a better texture for the paint to adhere too! Oh I wish you would please take some moments to explain in more detail, like what kind of paint is in the big can, is it house paint?.Latex? The things that are obvious to you are not to everyone! It would help to just clearly show and name the products. Also you mentioned adding cornflower but what is it, do you mean cornstarch? Cornmeal? Sorry I am frustrated but details make the difference to millions of beginners- wthout them we just give up
Thanks for the feedback! It was all internal house paint! I don’t know a whole lot about cornflour but I think it’s the same as cornstarch, but not 100% sure. I hope that helps!

Chimney pipes… make the base of a birdbath . Epoxy a large shallow plant saucer to the top!
Oohh that’s a good one!
Very cool! My favourite is the piece you did for the mantle ❤
Ah thank you! I think it was such a good way to make something for a specific sized space. my mantle is SUPER narrow so it worked out perfectly!

I loved how the “limestone sink” came out!

Very interesting projects. I will keep the foam in mind when I try a project out that I think should use it. I actually already have an idea!
The options are really endless with foam! I’m happy it’s inspired you :)
Can't wait to see what you have in mind 😃
If you would have spray painted the foam, it would have broken down. You can never spray paint foam. It turned out great!
I never knew that, thanks for sharing! Lucky I didn’t do it
@@phoebedoeseverything Water based spray paint will work on foam.
@@krislange4546 thanks for the info! that's really helpful

Tip: adhere your smaller pots to a lazy Susan ( I use blue tack) and then paint and move as need be. Easier & quicker.
Genius!!!!
If you use chalk paint, you can also add the baking soda for texture.
Great idea, that definitely could have helped I think!
Great job ❤
Thank you!
Your editing is getting so much better, very impressed!!!!!!

hyper tufa method pots would look good to for the stone sink idea. sponging color on works well too.

Where your paints acrylic? or water based?
It was a mixture of acrylic paints and regular wall paint from the hardware store!
Why did you use corn flour instead of baking soda? I have never seen anyone use corn flour this way. Just curious, thanks.
