Epic performance with a surprisingly bluesy solo by Shinji.

    nice to meet you!
As a fan since the indies era, I was very grateful for the response.
    their careers are long
Even in Japan, he was underestimated despite his ability.
Most of the bands that sold at the same time retired.
Believing in the possibilities of their music rather than making money, they still continue their activities.
I think your reaction is the result of that.
Influenced by Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin, it continues to inherit a Japanese image. As if sticking to their own policy, they continue to work on their new album, aiming high.
I look forward to digging deeper into the human chair and waiting for your reaction.

Thank you for reacting to the excellent live video of Ningen Isu! I am so happy. This live performance is 2016, but the original song is from their third album, masterpiece, 'The Golden Dawn' (O(u)gon no Yoake, 黄金の夜明け) in 1992. The name of the song, as you all know, is from Lovecraft's novel of the same one. Again thank you from Japan.

Loving the theremin action in this. These guys rock! I'm glad they're getting some attention these past few years.

Brilliant choice. 👍👍 That was truly great. 😂 I rarely watch NI live videos because the sound is often very poor compared to studio and MV. However, that was immaculate. I love NI's changes, they're like mini-movies in sound.
    Thank You! 👏
    Best Wishes.

I think it was me that suggested this in the comments of your reaction to heartless scat. I'm glad you liked it.

GREAT! One of my favorite ningen isu songs (with Dynamite) :)

The title is a title of an H.P. Lovecraft story. Ningen Isu has other songs inspired by the horror writer.

ONE OF THE GREATEST REACTIONS TO THIS SONG BECAUSE IT WAS ALL FACIAL EXPRESSIONS AND BODY LANGUAGE DURING THE SONG. YOU PAYED PROPER RESPECT TO NOT CUT OFF THE END CREDITS AND THEN GAVE NAKED EMOTIONAL COMPLIMENTS TO THE BAND. IT WAS EDUCATIONAL TO ME WHEN YOU SAID A BIT OF PUNK INFLUENCE, SO NOW I GET TO RELISTEN TO SEE IF I CAN PICK UP ON SOMETHING THAT I AM NOT WELL EDUCATED ON. I WILL ALSO STUDY WAJIMA'S HAND MOVEMENTS BECAUSE I WAS WONDERING FOR A LONG TIME IF IT REALLY WAS DIFFICULT TO RECREATE THE SAME EXACT SOUNDS ON THE THERAMIN. THE LYRICS OF COURSE ARE BASED ON A FAMOSE SCI-FI NOVELLA BY H.P. LOVECRAFT. GREAT SONG, GREAT REACTION. 😊😊😊ONE PUNCH MAN KNOCKS OUT BOREDOM AND ANXIETY AGAIN. BTW, SORRY ABOUT THE COLLOQUIAL ALL CAPS, ARTHRITIS IN HANDS.

I think it got "Punky" at 6:27 then even more so with the two vocals at 6:51, then "Punk" ended about 7:48.

Max, this is a great comment. This is the first time I have heard this version, and it is perfect ... now that I think about it, I think I have only heard a canned version of this song. A great track.
I picked up on the H.P. Lovecraft references and the mentions of Cthulhu. This makes the song automatically dark and mysterious. Cthulhu is a very deep and rich story to mine, for those with the skills to do the theme justice.
And, if you are looking to find the instrument played by hands in the air, google "Theremin" (not terrapin, as that is a type of turtle).
I still get blown away by how good this band is, I love every opportunity to see them. Thank you, Joel.

@@gbulmer THANKS, I WILL FOCUS ON THAT TIME TO LEARN WHY IT SOUNDED GOOD TO ME. I LIKE WHEN BANDS ADD DIFFERENT GENRE INFLUENCES, IT REALLY MAKES SONGS MORE FUN AND INTERESTING. I WISH I HAD HAD THE CHANCE TO EXPERIENCE A LIVE PUNK PERFORMANCE, I BELIEVE I WOULD HAVE BEEN WAY MORE INTO THE MUSIC. FOR NOW, I AM TOTALLY ADDICTED TO JAPANESE ROCK/METAL. ALSO, FINDING R & M MUSIC FROM MEXICO, ARGENTINA, INDIA, NORDIC COUNTRIES ETC. HAS BROUGHT JOY BACK TO MY LIFE.

Thank you reacting to this great, but lesser known NI song. Next should be 人間椅子「雪女」PV風 (mv of "Snow Woman"): ua-cam.com/video/a43QD7QVyYc/v-deo.html based on a fairy tale: A princess from the moon has the magic power to command snow storms, freeze evil doers and protect innocent people. Very impressive visuals from a 1967 b/w movie.

That was great. Now I want to buy the CD and see how that sounds. I have a few old CD's from used shops in Japan and a new from Tower. They're impossible to find in the store because because everything on the cover is in Japanese and they don't have pictures of them. I have to ask for help. By ask I mean show a photo of the bands name on my phone and sweep my arm out in the universal gesture for -where. I don't even know the names of my favorite songs.

If you like Wajima's solo in this song, you should watch his solo at this performance where he is a guest of Mito Hananosuke and Golden Fellows, from 2004 I think. Probably not reaction material, but awesome nonetheless: "feat 和嶋慎治(人間椅子) / ゴルゴダの丘" (ua-cam.com/video/0GXpYl2EI6k/v-deo.html), the solo starts about 6 minutes in for the impatient ones.

Love a bit of theremin action - if it's good enough for The Stones , Led Zeppelin , The Beachboys and Garbage to name but a few then why not Ningen Isu 😄
