He is or at least used to be a professional rock singer. Around 1988/1989 he was singer in the band Karo, that has released the album „Heavy birthday“, a extremely sought for LP/CD. Check youtube for „Karo Sister sister“

It's just unbelievable. Normally it's impossible to even come close to Journey when covering their songs. Then Dan Lucas came around the corner. As a lifelong Journey fan, I gotta say he didn't reach Journey, he topped Journey. I would've never thought that someone would be able to sing this song better than the original, but here it happened. Unbelievable

Das Niveau der Sänger bei Voice Senior ist international das höchste Niveau bei The Voice. Wie man hier sieht, ist das auch in Deutschland so. Nur frag ich mich, wieso dieser STAR als Berufsberater arbeiten musste...
Ich liebe The Voice Senior! Wirklich begabte Sänger/innen, tolle Musik, Vielfalt, einfach gute Laune. Auch die Coaches sind viel besser drauf und werden genauso wie der Zuschauer in eine andere (bessere) Zeit versetzt und mitgerissen. Ich möchte momentan nichts anderes mehr sehen und drücke heute Abend Dan Lucas die Daumen!
Ganz einfach, alle Sänger die sich damals aus der DDR in den Westen absetzten haben fast nie eine musikalische Chance bekommen, wurden lange nur belächelt und irgendwie mussten sie ja ihren Lebensunterhalt verdienen. Und alle Sänger in der DDR hatten auch eine gute grundsolide Ausbildung so das Musik erstmal zum Hobby wurde...von ihm gibt es viele Titel bei UA-cam.. Dan Lucas/Lutz Salzwedel /Karussell... Anders kann ich es mir nicht erklären
@@steffiguttmann3969 Stimmt, ich hab mir auch schon einige Videos von ihm angeschaut und fand ihn früher genauso klasse wie jetzt. Ich glaube, dass echte Talente einfach gar nicht gefragt sind. Für die Bohlenscheiße muss man ja nicht singen können... Wenn ich mir dann noch anschaue, was wir heute für einen Einheitsbrei an depressiver deutscher Musik (gerade in Deutschland) haben, wer sollte dann "SO" einen klasse Sänger unter Vertrag nehmen?! Wer soll denn kreative Melodien machen, wenn Kreativität in diesem Land so gar nicht mehr gefragt ist?! Für Kreativität darf man aber nicht gestresst sein, man muss zudem Querdenker sein und man ist auf keinen Fall ein angepasstes Würstchen. Es ist zum Kotzen und klar musste er Geld verdienen, aber was für eine Verschwendung!!! Da hat man in Deutschland mal ein echtes Talent und dann lässt man ihn als Berufsberater arbeiten... grrrrr...

Props to Dan Lucas for the performance! For an older Dude, he's got talent! Having said that, after watching this video, I listened to Journey's 2009 live concert with Arnel Pineda. Just amazing....no comparison, IMHO.
