Last year we got (G)I-DLE who bring such an unique things to the table, from self produce to have different genre for each comeback. In 2019 Everglow and Rocket Punch is definitely my pick for ROTY.
But i don't think is a new sound, although is a good comeback song, to me sound like a mesh of sound we have heard before, between the use of whistling, edm sound and Blackpink ish chorus, is something we heard before. To me is the personality and energy they bring to the track that elevates it a bit.
You could say new to 'bon bon chocolat' but not to 'adios' in my opinion, ill be fair, i dont like adios as i dont like kill this love because their just so similar (nor ddu-ddu) i just dont like this type of songs

Everglow are the queens of bridges. Bon bon chocolat's bridge was good but this one.. That high crystal sound is amazing. Musically this bridge is perfect I can't stop rewinding it.
In total Everglow has 6 songs so far, and each one is so different from one another. Definitely recommend reacting to the mini album even if it is just 3 songs :)
The only thing I did not like about it is, that even though it is a rap heavy song E:U barely had rap lines even though she is main rapper, and Onda got like barely one line.
The only lines Yiren** had were “goodbye au revoir adios” and like one other line and this may seem like a lot but imagine being so excited to know you’re making a comeback but then realizing that in the title track (aka the only song most people listen by the artists) all you’re doing is saying the same thing over and over repeatedly. But Onda and E:U deserved many more lines. Mia is super talented but it’s not fair tbh

This is definitely one of my favourite comebacks! Sometimes MVs with such bold cinematography can distract and even take away from the music a bit, but for me the MV adds so much more to it I wouldn't have gotten just hearing the song on its own. Their debut was an EP with 3 tracks! And just like their previous EP, the B tracks are fantastic! They are really are showing off the range of concepts they can take on. 6 songs and 6 different concepts between this EP and the last. Good stuff!
Actually Everglow debut with a mini album called "Arrival of Everglow", and the new comeback also came with a mini album called "Hush", both album contain 3 songs and I love all of it 😍😍😍

Those crazy gunshot transitions, they likely did it with robot arm camera (called MIA) that can be programmed by user to do whatever movements accurate to the millimeter - including the optical zoom. You can go from X-times to Y-times zoom in just a second. It's a super expensive production equipment.

You Don't Know Me - such a summer bop
This is definitely one of my favourite comebacks! Sometimes MVs with such bold cinematography can distract and even take away from the music a bit, but for me the MV adds so much more to it I wouldn't have gotten just hearing the song on its own.
Their debut was an EP with 3 tracks! And just like their previous EP, the B tracks are fantastic! They are really are showing off the range of concepts they can take on. 6 songs and 6 different concepts between this EP and the last. Good stuff!

Those crazy gunshot transitions, they likely did it with robot arm camera (called MIA) that can be programmed by user to do whatever movements accurate to the millimeter - including the optical zoom. You can go from X-times to Y-times zoom in just a second. It's a super expensive production equipment.
