Same, bro. I just started decorating for Halloweenlike 2 years ago. Im getting more & more into it each year. Im not into scary bloody, though. I am call my Halloween style "cozy Halloween-ish fall vibes" .... I want the neighborhood kids to be excited to trick or treat at my home
We have very similar approaches to Halloween decor. My home is filled with antique photography and natural elements so my home lends easily to a witchy vibe for this time of year. I admire your creativity and intention you put into every project. What a beautiful reveal!
I'm not a fan of Halloween decor and never do it. It always looks cheap and in poor taste. But when Andrew does it, it becomes a very high quality Art installation. Nothing out of place! It looks like it's meant to be yet still fresh and surprising. And adding colour in an almost stage lighting way was a nice touch. The choice of music was also excellent 👌🏻 This guy just has taste! Born with it! Mama brought into this world a genius! I'd love to see Andrew's work in a top New York art gallery as a mixed media art installation. And definitely in a Tate gallery in London. His work would elevate the quality of art chosen to be shown today. Not since the giant metal Mama Spiders have I been moved by a modern Artist and Andrew is one of the best! In fact, my favourite Artist/Designer of this century so far. I so look forward to seeing him realise his full potential and becoming known and appreciated world-wide. And the videography has improved a lot! A very good job indeed, young man! Rooting for you ❤❤❤
I only have one other suggestion. Use one of your easels, put a canvas back behind it that's dark or with an ocean, and glue your ship to it and light that sucker up. That boat is too cool to not use. I'm proud of you for embracing the holiday decor!
Your style and creativity is so evident in everything you do. I am amazed at your excellent "eye" for things that can be upscaled and transformed into unique decor and home fittings. Your natural, lowkey, and informative on-camera style makes you one of a very small set of my favourite UA-camrs! Thanks for the inspiration!
Sophisticated....tasteful.....spooky..BOO! Mission accomplished and done well as usual! Have a fun month. Can't wait to see the carved pumpkins when they get added😊
Nice job. I decorate for harvest, the first or second week of October through Thanksgiving. Lots of natural stuff, corn stalks, mums, pumpkins... for outdoor. Then for about a week a add a few things specific for that holiday. I’ve had the same few indoor harvest/Halloween that I put out. I think it’s about finding those few special things that give you happiness.
I started my holiday decor collections 8 years ago and have really enjoyed making a few DIYs each year to add. Just this year I finally decluttered some of the dollar store pieces that just haven't held up, or items that I haven't felt like putting out a few years in a row. Honestly, decluttering to keep myself in one storage bin was the most exciting part of decorating this time around! I like curating the collection and keeping it all to pieces that I really love.
That was fun to watch. Shopping my stash first is something I have to remind myself with every project. Love the “wire man”. The lights really complete your look.
You are an artist with every fibre of your being. ❤ I _love_ this "natural" and moody/authentically spooky approach. BEST HALLOWEEN VIDEO EVER!! Seriously.
Andrew you are so lucky to have that wonderful porch!! They just don't make 'em like that anymore! I really enjoyed coming along for your creative process using "reissued" items to bring together your final spooky look!
Absolutely gorgeous!!! You're so brilliant... You have inspired me to ditch all my Halloween porch decor and go with the dark, sinister apothecary vibe... Simply stunning 🖤🎃🖤
Oh, that table with the tile top turned out beautifully! Worth the time, effort and rework involved. I'm inspired to redo my own collection of homemade grapevine wreaths now. I love the 'woodsy, witchy' decor being understated, mysterious and still fun without being tacky or gory. The black skeleton was a nice, creative twist!
Very nice! I like the hints of the Season vs Halloween shoved in your face; I think you nailed it! The table is such a nice piece, love the style and how you improved it with the tile.
Love this dark academia style. It's far more interesting and artistic than all the plastic orange tat I see everywhere. Andrew, I'd love for you to make one of those *_chicken-wire ghosts for the garden_* - they look absolutely brilliant lit up, would fit right in with your arty æsthetic, and I'm sure between you, Matt and your parents you could create some great ones!
It's so cool, spooky, and cute (to me)! Lol, it's inspiring actually! 😊 These past few years have been rough, battling mental health issues like depression, etc. so I haven't been in as much Halloween spirit as I normally am or would be, this helped get creative ideas going! So I am excited to prep and decorate
That’s awesome! Mental health can be a big drain on creativity and inspiration (I definitely have been there) so I’m glad this helped you find a little spark! Happy decorating! ❤️
Like your table very much ! Luckily we don t celebrate Halloween ( Holland ) as you do in America, so decorations like you have made are kind of rare. But most say you decorations are looking amazing, even with style and fitting so well with the front porch ! It even looks a bit syndicated and chic, but also spooky ! Love this video and your creativity ! See you on the next episode !
The best time to shop for Halloween decor (and candy) is November 1st. Invest in a single 30- gallon tote or other large container and save it for the following holiday (365 days goes by quicker than you would think). Also limiting decor storage keeps the decorator from hoarding too much and discarding/donating what no longer suits the space. For me, “every day is Halloween” is kinda my vibe so I keep skull pillows and bare branches around in general. I would have added $5 fairy lights to the branch specimen and rather than try to fix the skeleton, I would have put the skull in its hand with a sash on it that says “Viva le Revolution!”
Andrew, your porch and its simple spooky decor is awesome! The lighting is spot on, but I wish you had mentioned the large, spooky portrait. I love him! He really finishes everything off well and seems to match the age of your home. Thanks for sharing. Happy Halloween season!
Great work! There’s an art collective I see at local fairs who are dedicated to spooky items, and your cloches would fit into their collection perfectly.
Your wrought iron scary pumpkin man immediately came across as scary pilgrim spirit to me. So creepy! So awesome! I'm glad this video populated into my queue. I am now a new subscriber.
Great first Halloween! One suggestion, buy a bag of spider web and stretch it across the items on your table, your wreath and other places. Put in a few spiders and you've got a slight creep factor that finishes it. Also use that awesome ship as a centerpiece on your inside table
It all looks fantastic! Love it! I think that black orb is actually a crystal. It looks like obsidian, if it is everyone that comes to your door will be protected from evil! So yeah! 😂 The good will want to stay & visit, while the evil will dart away
Hi Andrew! I LOVE it! You did a great job pulling everything together. Great ideas too! I love Halloween. It was my Mom's birthday, so we always had extra fun with the holiday/birthday. Love the lights too! Great find of that garden kinda pumpkin guy! Thanks for sharing!❤
That moss can come back, actually. Soak it in water and it might grow again! Moss is a different kind of "plant" and is on an older evolutionary branch. Many kinds of moss are adapted to periods of dry and go dormant. The water will essentially re-animate it. I love the lighting at the end!
gorgeous!!!!! thank you for these videos. yourtalent and vision is so amazing and inspiring. it cheered me up and motivated me at a tough time today xxx
Great ideas, turned out wonderful- classy fall/halloween look, love it! That pumpkin-snowman whatever it is, just wow, I completely agree it works for both holidays and it is the best! Thanks for sharing, very inspiring, and I don't even decorate for halloween, may have to consider changing that now! The lighting made all the difference to polish the look.
i feel the Williams-Sonoma Effect with wanting to start any new hobby in my life, which means i usually don't haha the nature walk was so cool, to just use what's out there, ah truly reissued
But what about the pirate shipppp!!! Everything did turn out really great and the lighting really helped to accent everything in a way that fills the spaces nicely so it doesn’t look sparse while also being spooooky. But for real, the ship is the best part!
that table top turned out quite nice! So glad to see you put a skull in the cloche! As soon as I saw then I thought that's what i would do. I would have either left the skull off the skeleton though, or gone for one tacky thing and put it in one of it's hands . . .
I just watched a woodworker who recommended using salt with wood glue to stop it slipping. I don’t know if it works but I plan to try it. Great work! I love it!
Also, the whole time you were talking to the camera, there's what looks like a poseable hand on a shelf behind you in the studio? I'm like..Dude. Dude. Dude!
Thank you for your Halloween inspiration! I did up my cloche too! Although my lil fairy isn’t spooky but I love her sitting in the mist of fall! Wish I could share my photo here… Anyway, thanks again
Your dad's fingers so close to the saw blade nearly kills me every single time omggggg 🥲 The table looks gorgeous though, and the apothecary look is sooo nice for Halloween.
Nice job on the cloches! Could add some books ….make fake covers for them for dark stories like Dracula or The Mummy. Had fun watching. Oh…you could use those flowers from the wreath if you painted them black.
Question: Are your parents in the market of adoption? I simply adore their vibe❤ I'm all grown up too; very simple for training! Your channel is one of my favorites!
Thanks! The red lights are solar lights I got for cheap on Amazon. The purple is some old led strip lights from my old apartment and the others were just smart bulbs!
Hi Andrew I only discovered your channel a few weeks ago so am watching older videos atm, I've just watched 'How to turn trash into art/upcycled mixed media portraits (11 months ago) your 5 pieces are amazing, have you got them in print/poster form? My favourite is the lady with the wallpaper shreds and gold leaf 😊

This is the channel I've been searching for!! Love love love the "use what you have" and "upcycle" mentality. SO excited I found you!

great idea
That IS a great idea......consider it stolen !
I love this idea! A pirate flag would be a nice touch, too.
Yes! With the ship on the tilt like it's a wreck at the bottom of the ocean!
This would be great for inside. I wouldn’t leave that beautiful easel on the front porch, but that’s just me.
I love the way the table turned out. the snowman! I love the cloches, wish I could find those at a thrift store. What a score on the mushrooms.
The lighting at the end is fantastic! Love your projects and your entire porch. Gorgeous. Props to mom and dad 🧡💜💙
The lighting made ALL the difference. I liked the look, but wasnmt quite getting the vibe until I saw the night lights! Awesome.

Nice going with the witchy thrift decor! The log candle sticks will look great for year round d and christmas time as well.
You nailed it with the lighting.
Great antique table. Awesome. Chain it or screw and glue. Trick or treat.
I love you Halloween style, it’s perfect , and spooky
I love all the spooky sh!t!! Who doesn’t love a good cloche moment!! 🐈⬛🪦🎃👻
An owl on those branches would be cool. Nice work!

Australia is so upside down it's spring during Halloween and Christmas during a roasting summer. But I love the fun you have in your region ❤
Love your chic halloween corner with the table, th light effect also... and everything else. Well done.
That all looks great with the lighting. Love that creepy scarecrow man!
Love how it all turned out! The table remake is fantastic. The spooky lighting was the cherry on top. Perfectly ghoulish without looking garish! 💀🎃👻👹
Haha great play on words! Thanks for watching ❤️
Great work! There’s an art collective I see at local fairs who are dedicated to spooky items, and your cloches would fit into their collection perfectly.
Looking forward to how you will be incorporating the eerie ship and carved pumpkins!
Looks great.
Wow brilliant 👏

Very interesting!
Congrats on not having cookie cutter decor. It looks like it had evolved over time, and it's natural to be there.
Spooky! 💀 👻 🎃
Excellent presentation! Thanks for sharing! Have a fabulous day from Slovenia!
✨️Hey Andrew! 🧡✨️Looks great!!🤎✨️
Fantastic!

I love it all. The table turned out great. Hopefully you can find somewhere to out the ship, it had pretty spooky vibes 🖤
Thanks Lynsey! Yeah I’m sad I didn’t use the ship this time! But I think it will be cool in my house any time of year haha
Thank you for your Halloween inspiration! I did up my cloche too! Although my lil fairy isn’t spooky but I love her sitting in the mist of fall! Wish I could share my photo here… Anyway, thanks again
