This is really smart move. There is no point of having any military conflict as we have nothing strategic to shoot in Porkistan. This move is gonna break Porkistan and also we can divert Water to so many river or river related issues we have.
This is foolishness and to just keep us indians silent over Uri. Govt of India trying to make indians happy by telling all this stories. Just attack Pakistan directly.. if you will stop water then they will go to UN then after negotiations it will again be opened. then where is the revenge for our 18 soldiers? Pakistan may then use its nuclear power to destroy India. I think Bharat should be rethinking again and again, before considering this move. Because it is Water not Kashmir which can ignite the nuclear war. If this happens, both countries will be removed from the map of the World.
In IWT we are availed with only around 20% of water where as Pakistan gets a massive share of 80% water of all the 6 major river systems and it's tributaries.
This is complete ignorance of our own Kashmiri people who can't be benefitted much by the immense potential of their own rivers just because of the generosity shown by our ex -pm J L nehru in 1960 who signed the Indus water treaty with Pakistan.
Our rivers must fulfill our people's thirst first. People of kashmir must be treated in equal and fair manner by providing their right first.
How can we let 80% of the water unused and untouched for pakistan leaving our people thirsty and without electricity???
We must dissolve this nehruan era treaty and quench the thirst of our people first..
We must build dams to produce electricity for the people of kashmir who r still living in a dark era to bring them progress and prosperity. This is eventually foster industries and bring prosperity in the region so that no more youth have to choose guns in place of some job.
It's time to review and rethink over this treaty but first of all we must dissolve it so that it could be brought upon the table again.
DISSOLVE INDUS WATER TREATY RIGHT AWAY....DISSLOVE IT NOW!!
Because until we DISSLOVE it pakistan will never listen to it or be ready to share the water in a fair manner.
So Dare it..Do it...
At least if we want stability and prosperity in kashmir...
At least if we think of our own people first!!!
Anyway we are not going to drink up all water or store it in our belly...it will eventually be passed on.
But building dams will serve two very important purposes...
1. producing electricity and avaibility of water for the people of this region
2. Will alone be the biggest deterrence against the erring state of pakistan. In way will save billions on ever increasing defence expenditures.
