    Best Archeage video's I've watched! Do you think you could do some beginner guides at some point though? I've only been playing for a little less than a week. I've watched several youtube guides, but for the most part I find they leave me with more questions than answers. Ironically enough I'm actually not looking forward to PVP because well... I suck at it haha. I'm more into PVE and especially crafting. I would love to see you do a guide on farming and land ownership. Thanks for the the great guides so far! By the way, what server are you on?

      Thank you for the compliment! I'm on the Kyrios server, although I'm hitting the part of the game where the grind to go from good gear to "competitive" gear is becoming a little much. The gold sink can make even the most mellow of us want to nerd rage a little.

    Man it real bummer to hear that you are considering leaving the game , I started playing the game 3 days ago and I really liked your videos, you seem like a cool guy.I have been playing aion for years , when I finally tried archeage I thought man this game is such a breath of fresh air, it's quite nice and creative with interesting aspects, though I can totally relate to your reasons, the sad truth is that is the problem to most If not all MMOs .players get advantages over other played with gear either through the amour of time they invest in the or through money even both at the same time, it's just the way it is.

      The game would be infinitely more fun if players destroyed each other in PvP because of their skill, not because of the hours they spend doing non-pvp things like trading cheese, getting lucky in RNG, and using real-life cash.
      Le me explain - I'm Ok with a little gear disparity in an MMO, but in AA the difference between the "best gear in the game" and the "reasonable to obtain" gear in the game is a crazy advantage. We're talking about moves hitting at least twice as hard, if not triple, because the gear disparity is both offensive and defensive. When two great pvpers meet and one of them hits for 15k with the same move that the other one hits for 5k with, that's a bad system.
      What makes it so extra terrible in AA is that the ability to bridge that gap requires either 100's of hours of horrible grinding, spent getting beaten into humility by the players who have gotten to the top before you, or 1000's of RL cash. People literally spend 1000's of dollars on character gear in this game. It would be terrible even if the disparity was just crazy game farming, but when they add in the "Credit card shortcut" it makes it so much worse, because it inflates the number of those "apex" players with "steriod" pvp threat. Because getting killed without any real hope of fighting back, over and over again for 100's of hours sucks, it ruins the game for anyone who likes to PvP and doesn't want to throw their wallet at the screen.
      I loooved this game, but eventually I found myself disgusted with the amount of time I spent doing things I didn't enjoy to feed the disgusting and wicked RNG god. I also was unwilling to spend 1000's of dollars in cash to shortcut my way to the top because, even if I did it, it would make most of the other fights in the game empty and meaningless. There is some joy to be found in becoming a demi god with glorious OP stats, hunting the world for other demi gods, but for the overwhelming population of the game, its just not realistic.
      I'm still playing MMO's and making videos. Blade & Soul is going to be a lot of fun, but plays very different from AA. I'll have videos for it as soon as I'm able and allowed to post content from the NA game version, coming to beta this fall and releasing this winter. I have alot of info from the versions that are now live across Asia, but I want to make sure that my videos will be both relevant and current for players at release. Crowfall also looks very promising and Black Desert, now in beta in KR and JP, is changing very significantly and very often, so it might turn into an amazing PvP game by the time it comes to the West. As it stands now, Black Desert PvP still needs a lot of work.

      Again, what you just described above was the typical mmo pvp experience (at least for me in aion).Like you, im not the type of the guy who would want to spend money to feel better about myself in a game, i play for fun, and for me that means working slowly on my character, build myself up and getting better with my own effort and enjoy playing. The good thing about me is that i dont really need to be an ultra powerful player, i just want to get to a decent level where i can hold my own in game in a win-some-loose-some kind of way :)
      Im still very new to this game, exploring it and i like what i see so far, and i expect the journey to be rocky at best :P i always did/do my research so i know what im getting myself into but hey its only a game after all, i will play as long as i enjoy it, so i understand where u are coming from, i also looked into black desert, sand box concept always gets me excited.
      sorry about my horrible typing earlier, i did it on the phone.

    Thanks for the tips! My character Firren Vezrakatsa is really struggling. She needs better all stats to tell the truth. I'm logging into ArchAge now. So im gonna try out your tips. Might also need help for dgns too.

    Halburd1 - I'm having an issue replying directly to your comment. Might be something about the new/old comment system, or you might even have replies accidentally turned off. But, if I'm understanding your question right, I think that the problem you might be having is that once you hit magnificent level, you only have a 1 in 4 chance of it becoming the right "kind" of magnificent that can be upgraded to the next tier.
    And yest, the crafting system in this game does suck when it reaches end game, which is probably why I've moved on to Blade and Soul. I'll be making videos for it once I have a better handle on that game.

    • @coffeeteapvp5512
      @coffeeteapvp5512  9 років тому

      Actually disregard that, it's not relevant to your problem. I think that the issue you're having might be that most recipes require the "sealed" version of the weapon to do the tier upgrade, and I know that there is a way you can "reseal" an item for tier upgrading but unfortunately I can't remember exactly how - I don't recall it being overly costly though.

    Can i ask what are the weapons you have (the ones with that white glow), I see most ppl have those.

      @coffeeteapvp5512  10 років тому

      The weapons I'm using in this video are all from the Hasla token quest. They are pretty nice for how (relatively) easy to get they are. Delamovies is right. The glow comes from the lunastone "enchant" that is sold by the Honor point vendor.

      Jeroen van eijsden Hi!, you're welcome! I'm glad it helped. I've been exploring other games for now because I really dislike the gear progression system in ArcheAge, Even with the latest expansion, players who have abused the cash shop have a gigantic advantage over the "average" geared player. I'm really competitive, and feeling shut out from the top tier of pvp for not having deep pockets full of gold really gnaws at me.
      I'll be doing videos for Blade & Soul, Black Desert, Crowfall, Camelot Unchained, and EQ Next,once they come closer to release in the near future.

      I'm on Kyrios, but I'm taking it easy over the holidays. The gold sink for regrading gear can be rough for players who would rather be fighting than fishing.

    made a set of illustrious all grand level. then i try to upgrade it to magnificient. but wont let me. says wants basic illustrious? 1 level lower. = wtf! how do i make mine go down a level so i can upgrade it?. or do i need to make 3 illustrious to destroy them to then get the 3 destroyed to forge a basic. the upgrading in this game id fking retarded and a piss off big time.

    • @coffeeteapvp5512
      @coffeeteapvp5512  10 років тому +1

      As you can see from the prices in the video, prices on these items have changed dramatically now that the bulk of the population has hit the progression point where so much of the game is all about the gear grind/gold sink against the RNG upgrade system. Quite frankly I find it to be an incredible game flaw as the gold grind combined with my terrible RNG upgrading luck greatly has detracted from the fun i was having in game.
