Pink guy Glen Danzig went on to create Danzig which is punk and metal mixed.

Pink guy Sorry I was only pointing out what Danzig was. But yeah I cant seem to find any good hardcore punk bands anymore. I mean Cro-Mags aren't around anymore neither are Madball,Agnostic Front or The Bouncing Souls.

Nino Falletta Touche Amore is a more family oriented hardcore punk band. Check out their album "to the beat of a dead horse." It's definitely the heaviest of their 3 albums.

I remember when this album first came out.
I was born in 1977 so was far too young to have experienced The Misfits the first time around but, like many, many others I'm sure, I heard the Metallica covers and, drawn in by the cool imagery and the cult vibe, started gathering the back catalogue that existed to that point.
The band really wasn't well known in those days, so finding the albums was a genuine challenge. No internet downloads back then, so instead there were endless weekends of combing every record shop I could find. I remember pestering my Green Day loving friends, trying to convince them to listen to London Dungeon or I Turned Into A Martian instead. I remember the tribute album coming out. I remember trying to track down other fans on the fledgeling web. I remember saving up to buy the coffin box set.
*_THEN_* around the end of 1996, I started to come across more and more frequent rumours and reports of the reunion. Fragments and stories. Rumours about the line up. Fevered live show reviews.
    Rumours about *_A NEW ALBUM!_*
The excitement I felt back then as an 18/19 year old is honestly hard to describe.
Then, finally, getting my hands on real, physical proof that it was all true - it was really happening! - This album!
    I played it for weeks.
I remember them coming to my town in 1998, during that short period when Graves left and Myke Hideous filled in. I remember my girlfriend coming with me to the show and bitching because I wanted to go and thrash and jump about with the other Fiends, but she wanted me to stay and protect her in the front row while she made goo-goo eyes at the band.
I remember - best part! - getting sick of standing still towards the end of the set and diving into the pit, getting most of my earrings torn out and getting bonked in the nose. I remember looking up towards the stage to yell and scream and wave my arms about but being confused because I couldn't see Jerry there. I remember looking around and seeing him standing, playing his bass *_right behind me_* in the crowd, grinning at me and laughing at the expression on my face while everyone else moshed around us.
Happy, happy memories - I was lucky to be there for it.

Yes it is! In '87, Huey released this, Fore, their most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is "Hip to be Square", a song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of conformity, and the importance of trends, it's also a personal statement about the band itself. HEY PAUL! /smashes axe into face

We *_do_* have this type of music nowadays.
Just as it was in the old days however, you need to really dig for it.
Back in the early nineties, when I first started getting interested in The Misfits, we couldn't simply wander into our local HMV and find them on the shelves - that's where people went to get M.C Hammer and Paula Abdul records.
Searching for stuff like The Misfits, or The Ramones, or even The Stooges, involved whole days spent going from store to store to store - The little, poky, independent music shops, the kind with the entrance _below_ street level, really low ceilings with worrying stains and stacks of dusty vinyl seven feet high. Half the fun was in the chase, not least for the bragging rights you'd get for finding something really cool and passing it on to your buddies.
The nature of the search is a little different now, but I can solemnly promise that there's more killer music out there than any human could get through within their lifetime.
You've just got to dig for it. Don't wait for it to come to you.

Some even claim The Clash was punk. the Clash was junk. The last gasp of punk. Even Steve Jones and Johnny Rotten said punk was dead in the 90's. Punk died in the mid 80s at the latest. True.. I`ve been into this band since I was in Kindergarten I think and now I`m in my sophomore year of high school, still listening to this band. I used to have a bunch of their merch but now I can only find one shirt. This band has honestly been a big part of my life. This band has helped shape me into what I am now.. I mean, I don`t really like the whole newer music of this band but I love the older stuff with Danzig and Graves and to me that`s the best era of the band.
