As one of thsoe 8000 there that evening, I can tell you that BREATHE is one of my greatest live music memories in more than 45 years of attending concerts. We were all in tears. That song meant so much to her. It meant so much to us. I am proud to have been in the choir that helped her close out that song. Such mutual respect between the artist and the audience that evening.
Now you see why TWA is so passionate about these young women. Yes they're fantastic musicians, songwriters, performers etc, but over the years they've opened up and let us see them personally like no band I've ever known. They treat us like family and its reciprocated. Yes, sometimes we may be over protective or very passionate, but we actually care about them as individuals, not just because they're a fantastic rock band. That feeling of family bleeds over to the fan base as well.
What we just saw was Pau choosing to let go of a burden she had been carrying inside for a while. None of us know what it was, but she felt safe enough to use this crowd of adoring fans to release it. They love her. We love her. She loves us. The band treats fans and co workers as a big family, and there is nothing we would not help them to achieve, even if its helping them in such a moment as this. 🤘🏻🤟🏻🥹
In Breathe, what she said when the song had started is not translated correctly. The tranlslator catch the phrase "No la necesito cantar oigan" (I don't need to sing it), but what she said was "No, la necesito cantar oigan", with a pause, what is translated to "Don't do it (sing along with her), I need to sing it".
I really wished they would have embedded the translation right in the video, so reactors didn't need to mess with closed captioning ... Since most of them can't figure it out. And as you explain, it didn't translate properly anyhow

Then to follow it up with Breathe, which is where I was for a few years afterwards...I'm bawling my ass off each time this combo is played. It hits me hard every time, but now in a good way. Yeah, I'm crying for the 100th time, but with a smile on my face now. It reminds me of how wonderful life is in its moments of incredible sadness.

Paulina "The Powerful" (Pau-ER)!!! "Black Holes" has a special place in my heart... I was an addict, now 7+ years sober. "Breathe"...Well, as an empath, this song scares me a bit... Being a Metalhead and an empath is a gift and a curse at the same time. When they started releasing Pepsi Center videos, I knew that this song is comming, and I knew this song would totally demolish me... Pau (as well as her sisters) were always and are still avid readers. When she was 13, she read an article about addiction and the addict's feelings of shame and the resulting self- isolation from loved ones, helplessness and hopelessness. She decided to write a song capturing the emotional turmoil, feelings of desperation, despair and ultimate resignation to it all. The absolute songwriting masterpiece, "Black Holes" is the result.
The headset mic is what she normally wears while drumming. She just didn't bother taking it off for these performances. The full size microphone is what's being used here as it's much better quality.
The two microphones is because the headset one takes a long time to adjust and she needs it when drumming. This is mid-set remember, so right after this she's going back to the drums.
Some fun facts: Dany (guitar) born Jan-30-2000. Pau (drums) born Feb-5-2002. Ale (bass) born Dec-13-2004. “Black Holes” is from their debut album “XXI Century Blood”, written and composed between 2015-2016, released March 2017. So, they started writing their first album when they were 10, 13 and 15. Hardly 12, 15, 17 when it was released. During their TEDx presentation in 2017, they talked about their road to release their first album, highly recommended to take a look at it. “Breathe” is from their 3rd album titled “Error”. Written for the most part between 2019-2020, recorded and ready in 2020 but they didn’t release it until June 2022. They wanted to wait until they could tour again. Doing the math, they were 15, 18, 20 when they were done with the Error album. Breathe is very emotional for Pau, I don’t think we will see her playing it live again. Imagine writing a song at 13 years old about the feelings a person would have when dealing with addiction. And at 20 you find yourself on stage in front of 8000 people. Who are all singing your song along with you. There was a lot of love in that room. She wrote the song BREATH after a good friend had passed away. She did it to help deal with the pain of that lose. And said she would never play it live. But because of the love the crowd showed for her when see played Black Holes she decided at the last minute to play it. This was likely the one and only time we will hear it live.
What's crazy is she walks right over, gets behind the drums and plays the best Reimagined version of Metallica's Enter Sandman ever done.. it was done for Metallica's Blacklist Album.. For the Error album, the studio requested another song. Pau had written Breathe and agreed to have it on the album if she never had to play it live. That was written into the album contract. The recorded version was not done in a studio, but with Pau playing their slightly out of tune home piano. Simply put is this....this young lady is singing her heart out. Black Holes is about addiction, Breathe is personal to Pau for a reason...... she wrote Black Holes at 13!!! If you follow these girls for years you will understand. This is one of the best drummers on the planet singing her heart out...Both songs. Don't take this the wrong way but unless you really know who these Ladies are (following for years) what just happened in these songs is sometimes lost to newer fans, I only mean that in what the context and meaning of these songs. These girls have shared their entire life through Vlogs, BTS videos, After Movie Vids, Interviews so it just takes time to truly understand who they are. I always foregt that english is their second language and sure they learned to speak because of school and media but to be able to write in such a way in a second language is impressive. Its one thing that they speak English perfectly but another thing entirely to put into paper! The girls did a segment where Pau teaches ALe the drums and ALe teaches Danny the base etc and the girls needed music directions in Spanish because when using english terms they confused themselves.
Two songs that leave me in tears every time. In case no one already said it, at the beginning of Breathe, she didn't say, "I don't need to sing it." She said to the crowd already singing it, "No, I need to sing it." She only allowed this song to be added to the Error album on the condition she'd never have to sing it live. Deeply personal song for Pau and, to the best of my knowledge, she hasn't really revealed why.
I've watched this performance of Breathe countless times since that night and it still gets me every time. There were several good fancam versions released right after the show, but I'm glad we got an official TW video from that night.
Full disclosure. I've teared up every time I've watched this performance...perhaps dozens of times. It's just incredible. Watch Dany sing "When I'm Alone" from this same concert. Have subtitles on.

this Pepsi Center performance was the 3rd of the three 10th Anniversary concerts... they played the same performance in Guadalajara (Oct 21, 2023, Teatro Diana - 2500+), Monterrey (Oct 25, 2023, Pabellon M - 4500+), and Mexico City (Oct 28, 2023, Pepsi Center - 8000+)... all three performances had the same set list (with a notable difference or two), same costumes, same stage design and light show (or as close as possible for the venue)... they premiered *S!ck* and *Hell You Call A Dream* in Guadalajara and they had the 10-piece string sections with them at all three... the lighting was done by the same guy that does Halestorm's lighting... he had some free time that matched DPA/TW's schedule so they made things happen... somewhere is a BTS showing them working on the lighting programming and controls at the office before doing it all actually setup... very cool stuff... i saw all three performances via live fan cam streams and they were ... i mean, "WOW!" doesn't even begin to describe it... i remember the surprise when the string section appeared out of nowhere for *Black Holes* and *Enter Sandman* ... and the double surprise with *S!ck* and *HYCAD* was indescribable... Pau playing *Breathe* right after *Black Holes* here in Mexico City was a monstrous surprise to everyone watching... there were a lot more than 8000 pairs of eyes overflowing from that portion of the set... i fully enjoyed seeing them and only miss not actually being there... Not tears of joy... tears of catharsis. Breathe was a bonus track added to the Error album on condition Pau would never have to play it live, as it was a very, very personal song to her. As far as I know, this was the first and only time Pau has performed Breathe publicly.
The head mic is for when she is playing drums and because she is performing solo on piano, the mic on the piano is better for the audio mix. She is NOT going to remove her head mic just for one or two solo songs.
Those weren't tears of joy at the end of Breathe...just saying. There is a reason she said she would never play it live at a concert. Not sure the real reason she decided to do it...but it was not on the set list...the list said Black Holes/B which I assume meant she would make up her mind when the time came. You notice there were no strings, etc., because it was not a scheduled performance... I was in the crowd and we were shocked when she started the intro after BHs...special moment.
Her record label wanted one more song for the "Error" album. They wanted "Breathe", Pau agreed but with a stipulation that she will not be forced to sing it live. At a previous concert a tape of the song was played during a break. This will probably be the last time she sings the song live. Those tears were not tear of joy; she held back as long as she can from the pain and what these lyrics which she wrote meant to her. Someone commented in several other reactors channel that Pau wrote this for Pau - a panic attack set to music. Based on the lyrics she sings always in the 1st person I, I'll, Me, My and Myself. Though are tears of pain as she forces her smile...
There's never been a more dangerous time to give yourself away and be completely vulnerable in public. But these girls do it quite regularly. And, somehow, it's working. It's not a once in a generation thing. It's a once thing.

I feel like the orchestra made Enter Sandman into a "wash," but the orchestral support on this song, Black Holes, I mean, masterpiece! Simpley a magnum opus piece of music.

They said in one of their documentaries that their songs are rarely about them. Pau stated they all read a bunch of media and books. They almost canceled this concert because they all had the flu. She said on "Breathe" that her voice was not the best. Pau said the song is a panic attack set to music. It's a very special song to her maybe she has panic attacks. I don't know.

Simply put is this....this young lady is singing her heart out. Black Holes is about addiction, Breathe is personal to Pau for a reason...... she wrote Black Holes at 13!!! If you follow these girls for years you will understand. This is one of the best drummers on the planet singing her heart out...Both songs. Don't take this the wrong way but unless you really know who these Ladies are (following for years) what just happened in these songs is sometimes lost to newer fans, I only mean that in what the context and meaning of these songs. These girls have shared their entire life through Vlogs, BTS videos, After Movie Vids, Interviews so it just takes time to truly understand who they are. To truly understand these Brilliant young ladies you need to dig deep into their entire life story...it has been pretty much posted for all, just who they are. Great reaction.

I always foregt that english is their second language and sure they learned to speak because of school and media but to be able to write in such a way in a second language is impressive. Its one thing that they speak English perfectly but another thing entirely to put into paper! The girls did a segment where Pau teaches ALe the drums and ALe teaches Danny the base etc and the girls needed music directions in Spanish because when using english terms they confused themselves.
Two songs that leave me in tears every time. In case no one already said it, at the beginning of Breathe, she didn't say, "I don't need to sing it." She said to the crowd already singing it, "No, I need to sing it." She only allowed this song to be added to the Error album on the condition she'd never have to sing it live. Deeply personal song for Pau and, to the best of my knowledge, she hasn't really revealed why.
I've watched this performance of Breathe countless times since that night and it still gets me every time. There were several good fancam versions released right after the show, but I'm glad we got an official TW video from that night.

this Pepsi Center performance was the 3rd of the three 10th Anniversary concerts... they played the same performance in Guadalajara (Oct 21, 2023, Teatro Diana - 2500+), Monterrey (Oct 25, 2023, Pabellon M - 4500+), and Mexico City (Oct 28, 2023, Pepsi Center - 8000+)... all three performances had the same set list (with a notable difference or two), same costumes, same stage design and light show (or as close as possible for the venue)... they premiered *S!ck* and *Hell You Call A Dream* in Guadalajara and they had the 10-piece string sections with them at all three... the lighting was done by the same guy that does Halestorm's lighting... he had some free time that matched DPA/TW's schedule so they made things happen... somewhere is a BTS showing them working on the lighting programming and controls at the office before doing it all actually setup... very cool stuff...
i saw all three performances via live fan cam streams and they were ... i mean, "WOW!" doesn't even begin to describe it... i remember the surprise when the string section appeared out of nowhere for *Black Holes* and *Enter Sandman* ... and the double surprise with *S!ck* and *HYCAD* was indescribable... Pau playing *Breathe* right after *Black Holes* here in Mexico City was a monstrous surprise to everyone watching... there were a lot more than 8000 pairs of eyes overflowing from that portion of the set... i fully enjoyed seeing them and only miss not actually being there...

The headset mic is what she uses while drumming. It's probably turned off.. I think it's easier to leave it on. Rather than unhooking and taking it off.. She was sick with the flu during this show.. 🌎✌️

No The Warning fan would ever ask or expect her to sing breathe live. Equally, no fan would ever willingly let her sing that song alone.
Not tears of joy... tears of catharsis. Breathe was a bonus track added to the Error album on condition Pau would never have to play it live, as it was a very, very personal song to her. As far as I know, this was the first and only time Pau has performed Breathe publicly.
The head mic is for when she is playing drums and because she is performing solo on piano, the mic on the piano is better for the audio mix. She is NOT going to remove her head mic just for one or two solo songs.
Breathe is the last song on the Error Album. Pau just went to the piano and wrote it.
Those weren't tears of joy at the end of Breathe...just saying. There is a reason she said she would never play it live at a concert. Not sure the real reason she decided to do it...but it was not on the set list...the list said Black Holes/B which I assume meant she would make up her mind when the time came. You notice there were no strings, etc., because it was not a scheduled performance... I was in the crowd and we were shocked when she started the intro after BHs...special moment.
Her record label wanted one more song for the "Error" album. They wanted "Breathe", Pau agreed but with a stipulation that she will not be forced to sing it live. At a previous concert a tape of the song was played during a break. This will probably be the last time she sings the song live. Those tears were not tear of joy; she held back as long as she can from the pain and what these lyrics which she wrote meant to her. Someone commented in several other reactors channel that Pau wrote this for Pau - a panic attack set to music. Based on the lyrics she sings always in the 1st person I, I'll, Me, My and Myself. Though are tears of pain as she forces her smile...
There's never been a more dangerous time to give yourself away and be completely vulnerable in public. But these girls do it quite regularly. And, somehow, it's working. It's not a once in a generation thing. It's a once thing.

Hi, if you want continue with this type of song you need react to "when I'm Alone" Dany wrote that song when she was very young about some experiences of herself, and if you want react to Pau singing "23" is the perfect.
I feel like the orchestra made Enter Sandman into a "wash," but the orchestral support on this song, Black Holes, I mean, masterpiece! Simpley a magnum opus piece of music.

She wrote "Black Holes" at the age of 13. She read a story about someone who was addicted to something and it was killing them. She decided it would be a great song and it is. They said in one of their documentaries that their songs are rarely about them. Pau stated they all read a bunch of media and books. They almost canceled this concert because they all had the flu. She said on "Breathe" that her voice was not the best. Pau said the song is a panic attack set to music. It's a very special song to her maybe she has panic attacks. I don't know.
