- Former NYPD detective Louis Scarcella came to the witness stand Friday in a hearing for Nelson Cruz, a man incarcerated for 21 years ago for the 1998 murder of Trevor Vieira in East New York. CBS2's Lisa Rozner reports.
Scarcella used the same witness (drug addict) for 6 different murders. Imagine the bad luck you’d have to have to witness 6 murders

Understand not being able to prosecute him due to statute of limitations long ago having expired, but A: all of the cases he worked or assisted on need immediately re-examined and heavily scrutinized by a team of attorneys and legal advisers..and B: his awards and accolades as a law enforcement officer should be revoked.

Trust me for one know how difficult it is with cases because l for one spend 24 years and six months lock away before l was released on 2021...For being Wrongfully Contvicted...As of now God only knows how l feel to be blessed too actually be home ! However believe the justice has away to work out. Such as what don't comes out in wash, Comes out in the raised...Meaning as long as your alive and keep hope in your heart. I myself living also in E.N.Y. in the 90's and also on 80"s as well understand how the polices work here look at my case where the Kings County District Attorney pay the witnesses $56.000 in benefits for exchange for their testimony. See Daily News papers on 2/25 /2021.
