- China and Slovakia agreed to boost trade and investment ties and spoke of the need for peace in Ukraine, during a recent visit to Beijing by Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico. Under Fico, Slovakia has been keen to build closer bilateral and economic alliances with non-European Union countries, including China, its biggest trading partner outside of the 27-state bloc. Martin Šebeňa, Chief Economist at the Central European Institute of Asian Studies joins TVP World to discuss this issue.
