Just got the $219 elite model like you. The setup was fantastic on mine. First time ever that I didn’t need to set up a new guitar. Was so amazed and surprised! Worth every penny.
Glad to see you got a good one. I got mine from Guitar Gardens last week and have been haggling over its scuffed up condition ever since, one message a day for a week. The guitar they sent me was scratched and dinged and obviously had been opened and returned once before. I tried to get them to give me a prepaid shipping label to return it like their return policy says and I just got the run around, they offered me $20 to keep it as is. They finally said they would refund my money (less shipping) but I have to pay to ship back the poorly finished guitar they sent me. It's a $80 trip for me to ship a $206 guitar back and I already paid $27 shipping to get it originally which they said would not be refunded either. So I basically would end up getting $99 and the tax back. Why am I on the hook for that? So I'm stuck with fixing it myself and living with the rest. I will never buy from them again, be warned!
Yeah that's pretty messed up. Apparently it's luck of the drawl but I wouldn't expect much more for a sub 200 dollar guitar. I ordered a black beauty so we will see what happens when it gets here
Good review. I own 2 fflps and just ordered a 3rd. They are a great value for the money. The first two I spent around 300 each on active pickups, locking tuners, etc. I'll put them up against any 1000+ guitar. The third one I'm keeping stock- just going to remove the pickup covers. I also have a 77 les paul custom. The fireflys give you a great feeling, great playing lp for a good price. But I won't insult you and say they stand up to a real one.
ICO, your process for anew guitar is just like mine. Nice job. Firefly has improved a lot in 4 years. Amazon and guitars garden won't ship north to Canada and with boarder crossing issues I can't get one these days. When things get better I shd be able to cross over and pick one up. That's what I had to do 4 years ago to get the 335 FF.
Beautiful guitar I have an elite in champagne pink metallic, sporting some Seymore Duncans now,one of my favorite budget guitars, yours is super nice looking,enjoy.
Wow looks way better than epiphones or donners version i just got a harleybenton prs style as a christmas gift in paradise flame so happy with it are fire fly as good as hb
I bought the same one a while back and made a video, CST24T. I sold it but just bought another one in black flame bc I loved the 24th fret access. I’d say, the overall build quality is similar but I never owned a PRS model firefly or LP Harley Benton to compare for sure. Best wishes with the axe, man!

I wanted you order this cobra burst because it's one of the only fflps on Guitarsgarden that's has binding on both top and back of body as well as neck and headstock.I think that looks champ! Firefly just sold out of the Cobra color today.I was looking just now literally before watching this video..hopefully they will get it back in soon.that brown and black blend so well...looks like it's a $1k guitar! In my opinion..yep,as soon as they come back in stock.im gonna get it. $219 before tax sounds like a great deal.great vid.
I saw the scorpion come out 2 days after I got the cobra burst and I was kinda bummed. Haven’t seen the scorpion since. Their inventory is consistently inconsistent. The guitar I got was really good tho. Good luck!
Intonation was off for me but I tune down 1/2 step and use 11’s so I always have to adjust. Action had to be lowered as a result as well. Now it’s all good.
I think the primary difference are the aesthetics. I've never played the classic so I don't know for sure but the obvious difference is the inlays and the gold hardware
I like a bunch of yous ran out and bought the Firefly classic it's black transparent after playing on it about 5-10 minutes I didn't like it I got back on it within five minutes I was off again I didn't like the feel of the guitar I didn't like anything about the guitar so if anybody is looking for practically brand new firefly classic that's been touched for 15 /20 minutes; I was going all-in on this guitar I even bought a set of rollers if anybody wants it give me a price it's yours
I am a beginner at 70 years old. I have small hands. Are the necks on the fflps firefly guitars large? If so what would you recommend in the same beginner level price range?
The neck is about average. There are thinner necks out there like Fender MIM or Squires have more comfortable necks but that's all subjective. There's a telecaster copy by a company called Grote that has a similar neck. You can find those on Amazon.
@ICO MEDIA Would you recommend this guitar? Just got a new Line 6 Spider V60 MKII that replaced my Peavey Vypyr VIP 2 I had for four years. Got 2 20 watt Spider V amps besides the new Spider V60 MKII I just got last week. Are the pickups in this guitar very good? I'm mostly a high-gain metal guitarist, who loves that heavy distortion sound, and I know for a fact this guitar will sound good through three of my Line 6 amps. Just wanna know if this guitar is a good guitar for hard rock? Also, will this guitar fit inside a hard shell Musician Gear deluxe SG guitar case? Purchased that case in January this year, and am loving it. It fits my ESP Viper 50, that is an SG guitar. Just wondering if this guitar will fit in that particular hard shell SG case! Keep rockin' my friend, and please do a video of you reviewing your gear, whether it's a couple of guitar modeling amps, guitar multi-effects pedals, or audio interfaces. I like this guitar a lot. Pickups are def mid to low gain PAF style which is more for vintage tone but it’s pretty versatile for hard rock. If you do metal, I’m sure your line6 modeling can be tweaked to make the pickups work. If not, a pickup swap is def something you may want to consider. As far as the SG case, I have no idea. I know SG’s tend to be thinner bodies but the FF is def closer to a full Les Paul thickness. SG necks are also longer. I can’t help you with that. Good luck!
Beautiful guitar and it sounds better than the Epiphone LP 59 with Gibson Burstbuckers pickups. You can buy a quality case and still buy another FF model and separate case and still have money leftover to take your better half out for a night on the town for letting you but a new guitar. LoL

I have two FFLPs, other than replacing the pickups, and the nut on the Elite, they are great guitars.

Intonation was off for me but I tune down 1/2 step and use 11’s so I always have to adjust. Action had to be lowered as a result as well. Now it’s all good.

They need to work on there quality, mine came in with dents on the pick up covers.

What effects are you using ?
Nothing crazy. Just PRS MT15 clean and dirty channels. Nothing in between.

The the ivy hollow body l.p. is a better for the same money,but they only come in one color.
