- Jesus wants you to give your life to him right now. For much of my life, I lived with the idea that I'll always have time later to start living in a way that pleases God. "God's grace is enough right. It's okay for me to know the truth, but live to satisfy the desires of my flesh. I'll be good as long as I give my life to Jesus before I die" These are some of the things that I tried to justify my lifestyle with. The truth of the matter is that this was a horrible way to live. While God's grace is abundant and powerful enough to cleanse all sin, sin still has a negative impact on your life. Jesus wants to be in relationship with you now. Jesus has the power to give your life purpose, while filling your heart with joy, peace, love, and much more than you could ever imagine.
Absolutely spot on brotha. Had a crazy experience happen to me in college where Jesus saved me and I am a new man. Only has been a few months and I can say I live every single day letting God be the pilot of my life. My life has never been this bright and I can only thank Jesus Christ

Hey man, I really appreciate your words about how we can't just flip a switch and instantly be Holy. I come from a very legalistic background, and the term "Giving your life to Christ" is often associated with striving and following his law perfectly or else I'm a false convert.
I fell away from the Lord recently, but after High School he's been healing my backsliding and restoring my path to where I need to be. Still though, I often fall into the trap of thinking I need to be perfect from the get-go, which just isn't realistic.

Thank you for sharing. I have a similar testimony with the “good Christian” face at church, but at home and school I was far from it. Living a life truly transformed by Jesus means abstaining from sin because we’ve been made new in Him. It’s brought me to tears many times thanking the Lord for His grace and mercy seriously it’s every single day He gives that to us. Thank you again for sharing, I’ll be praying for you and that this testimony you have would continue to glorify the Lord in all ways!

That was beautiful man, truly! I can relate with what you said, giving your life to Jesus not being instantaneous. I’m trying to give my life to Jesus but it’s hard, I feel stuck. I have this same problem I keep falling to and I feel powerless towards it! I pray everyday and read the bible everyday but this problem is starting to affect all of this.. No my friend, Jesus never asks anyone to give their lives to Him in scripture! That is a phrase made up by man! You will not see that anywhere in the Bible! You need to study and understand Romans 7:14-25; and Romans 8 which talks about living life in the Spirit! It's important brother that you study the Word of God In context! If you are under Calvinistic teaching then get out! What do I mean? People like John MacArthur, John Piper, Paul Washer, Ray Comfort, Francis Chan, etc. Understand Grace! You only need to believe on Jesus Christ and Him alone to be saved!
