New Norton does appear to be taking a slow and steady approach at rebuilding the brand and name. We used to enjoy walking around the old Norton showroom at Donington Hall (just up the road from us) Hope the new dealers will have bikes that can be test ridden and techs that can service the bikes. Hopefully Norton are working on new models, definitely need a new compliant twin cylinder engine that would mean the Commando could be sold worldwide.
The hype looks good, we'll have to wait and see about the reality. Currently they are building bikes under SVA type approval and lack Euro 5 compliance. They probably need to sort that to truly move forward. Meanwhile, the Petersfield branch does have test rides available 🙂
How’s tricks brother, hope you’re keeping well. Always had a soft spot for Nortons I must admit. Has something to do with following my mate on his Norton for so long I reckon. Dominator in a Featherbed frame. Pipes sounded like sex when he took it up a notch. Just a beautiful machine. Take care man.
Ayup Stan, how's things. I have a soft spot for Nortons too, just wonderful machine. I'm not sure I'll ever afford a new one but now there's a local dealer I can at least press my nose against the window like a 14 year old on my way home 🙂
