It's not just his playing and the fact that he is a one man band - but his musicality and creativity is off the charts! Damn, I wish my dad was still around to hear this young man. My dad was a concert pianist and I would always bounce singers and musicians that I liked off of him, just to get his opinion. He would have loved Marcin, I am sure.

This is definitely a new dimension in guitar music - with a stress on "dimension". Marcin does not invent anything new. As he says, he learns from internet, most probably from guitarists like Tommy Emmanuel, Mike Dawes and even many classical ones. What is striking here is his level of performance - including technique, musical sensitivity, incredible inventiveness and hard work. He has left his "teachers" so far behind and created a new standard, not matched yet by anyone.

Marcin has invented something new. Do you see this as a common playstyle? He invented a technical playstyle combining percussion, fingerstyle, classical/progressive genres. But he did not invent techniques! Did he invent slap harmonics? tap? percussion? Obviously no, what would you say he did? Explored a dimension? Combined influences? That's literally what inventing means :-).
@@lx4302 Thinking about that... You may be right. At this level of his "eclectic" performance and seamless integration, we may call it an invention. He does explore new techniques as well, I think. He just shows that it can be very entertaining, intriguing, even moving and inspiring. I hope he is mature enough to grow and preserve balanced life. Lots of pressure and temptations here.
This is a nice change of pace. An incredible performance, as always, but I can breathe while I watch it.

One of the things that's extraordinary and exciting about his playing style is that you don't know what's coming next no matter how well you might think you know a particular song or composition. I love the unpredictability of his embellishments.

This is the Marcin I want to hear. I don't need anything that's produced and with other instruments. It's the purity of what this guy can do with just his guitar that takes us to another place, not any of the other fancy stuff. I really hope he doesn't lose himself in production.
