    Hi lovely people! Thanks for watching my video. I hoped it helped some of you for current or future deployments. One tip I did forget to mention is surround yourself with people who love and care about you! Doesn’t matter if they are military affiliated, as long as they love and support you!
    We’ve got this! 😃
    If you are currently going through a deployment and have another tip, be sure to comment it down below so that we can help each other remain strong! Love you guys!❤️
    xoxo Britt

      How does it feel that everybody looks at military wives as women who cheat on their husbands?

    • @BritCon2
      @BritCon2  7 років тому +1

      Why should I care about the opinions of others? Let them think what they want. We live in a fallen world where that happens not only in the military community but everywhere. Also, my identity is in who Jesus says I am and that's all that matters to me.

    Needed this 😭 our first deployment was extremely extremely hard & even almost caused us to have a divorce. By the grace of God, so much prayer and fasting, there’s been a ton of restoration in our marriage that I’m so thankful for 😭 he just left again, & my anxiety has tried creeping & I felt that so much when you said to stop crying 😞 I’m thankful I haven’t cried nearly as much as the first time around, but this loneliness is still very difficult for me💔 I’m AD as well, finding christian friends in the military is so hard, it gets a little discouraging, but I know I just need to fight a little harder through. Praying for all the brave men and women out on deployment 🥺😭 praying so hard this time flies by fast, I miss my husband a ton, but I also pray that we can both come back to each other so refreshed 💗

    So grateful for your videos 💕 My boyfriend of 4 years just announced today that he is going for his 1st deployment in October, it is a 6-8 month assignment. I was truly excited for him and was very positive with him, but as soon as we hung up, I literally was upset and cried. I felt so guilty for feeling upset as I don’t want to be selfish. I immediately found this video and it has given me peace and clarity that we are only human and that all will be okay and just BREATHE. Thank you very much for shedding your light 💕 Praying for you and your family.❤️

    My boyfriend is in the Navy, and we just recently started dating. He's deploying in April and I know it's still pretty far away, but it's going to be my first time experiencing something like this. We are already in a long distance relationship, but we talk everyday and have plans to visit every month. So I'm really nervous for when he deploys, it's gonna be so hard not to talk to him. Thanks for the tips!

    Your videos really help me. My husband just deployed Friday and I’m shattered. I’m in El Paso and I literally have no family or friends. It’s our first deployment and I’ve never been alone. So I’m still trying to figure out my emotions and I just want more of your videos. Thank you.

      This the moment for you to grow! I am in a state that is across the country from my home state. However, I have gone out made new friends, learned new things, and created joy in this time of heartache. Don't use the words I can't or I am too sad to leave or I am too shy. Our minds lie to us. We are strong and courageous women who God continues to mold each day. I won't say that I didn't have days that I just stayed in bed, because I totally did. But let your good days be greater and more often than your bad days!💕

    My second cousin is going through this. I told her about your video, sent it to her, it helped a lot. They don't have kids yet which gives her less to do , so she started arts and crafts, painting, she started college online. She's found herself being alone, it has made the marriage happy, she's happy and radiates joy.

They're both 20 and makes me happy to see such mature young adults who handle responsibility so well. I love your videos! Your videos inspire and that's what makes us all connect > INSPIRATION. :) Getting a routine and staying focused. She said her focus is better.

My husband isn't deployed but has been gone at army basic training for about a week and it has been so hard, but It's nice to hear your perspective on how to get through it. I don't know any other military wives that are my age, so it's nice to know that I'm not alone.

    Thank you so much for your videos! I'm living in Germany, I would have never thought to fall for a soldier, and now I'm in this situation of being in love with somebody who's going to deployment at the end of the year... We just met a few weeks before he got the order, so it's little time to stablish something, and we are both struggling with it. As for me, I don't have any experience with military, on the opposite... My ex partners would more be on the "never going to military" side... We are now in the process of thinking through options, and I'm really grateful for your input on everything. I don't know where this will lead me, if there will be an "us" at all, but I just expanded my horizon so much. So, again, thank you ❤️

    I love this video. thank you so much. i love how close you are with god and how you have such a positive attitude!! i’m going to use your tips this summer when my boyfriend is going away to basic training with the army national guard. i definitely have it WAY better than a lot of others in the military because he’s only going to be gone for about 9 weeks. not months. so after realizing that and knowing that i’m not physically alone, i’ll be fine. thank you so much❤️

    How else can you deal with fear of him giving into temptations? I've seen other videos from people who went through training or deployment saying that it's easy to give into temptations because of loneliness or stress. I'm so scared that he will give into peer pressure or need a way to relieve his stress and not be honest about it if he does.

    • @BritCon2
      @BritCon2  7 років тому +7

      Angela Cai The only thing you can really do is have a conversation about it. How to avoid temptation, how to keep himself accountable etc. Every relationship needs set boundaries that you both will follow. Honesty is one of those things you can kind of predict. If they have lied to you in the past they will lie in the future. People who have a problem opening up or lying about small things usually lie because of shame. The only way to fix this is to always remind them you are a safe place that will not shame them. With all that said don’t let the fear of the unknown scare you. If you think he will do that, why are you with him? If it’s just a fear and he hasn’t given you a reason to think that then again, have a serious and open conversation with him, set boundaries and again pray that you both remain strong.
      xoxo Britt

    My boyfriend is in the army and his deployment is going to be sometime next fall. we aren’t too sure of when that will be but nonetheless I’m trying to kinda just wrap my head around the whole thing. This is his first deployment and we want to get married before then. After we get married, I’m making the move from California to Kansas and I’ll be out there by myself while he’s on deployment which is terrifying. I’m emotionally just preparing myself for all of it because it’s big changes in such a short amount of time.

    My boyfriend just left the other day for a 10 month deployment and I am surprisingly doing very well. I prepared myself for the absolute worst case scenario and I watched all your videos about deployment before he left and I feel like it’s such a relief that it has started. Hey Brit, I just wanted to say that this is very helpful to me. I’ve already gone thru boot camp and that was fine because I was still back home in Miami and had a busy season at work to keep my time occupied. This time around, hell be leaving for C school in December and I’ll be alone with my dog in Chicago. I’ve never experienced a Midwest winter, I’ve never seen snow! (Born and raised in Miami) so I’m really fearful having to drive to work for the first time in the snow and navigating all that. At least back home I was in familiar territory and had family and friends. He’ll only be gone till March when he comes back and we then relocate to Norfolk but I’m basically spending winter alone... any advise?
