Make them cheaper. I don’t need to pay for a sun roof that I don’t care about. A to B efficiently and safely. That’s all we need. Can’t afford a new car anymore.
I feel exactly the same. Efficiency, reliability, and keep it basic. I have no interest in all the gee-wiz features that really don't matter, but cost thousands to fix when the (inevitably) will break. I swear they design cars today with the explicit intent of making money for the dealer service departments.
Have had Honda but considering the Camry. Biggest complaint from neighbors though is that RAV 4 engine is loud and drones. While my CRV doesn't do that, I'd probably go for the RAV 4 as the CRV Hybrid has cut back quite a bit compared to what the RAV 4 Hybrid offers. FWD would be good. Here in the desert (Las Vegas) AWD is sometimes a special order as no snow, ice, and very little rain. Toyota dealers here are harder to negotiate with than the Honda dealers, where I easily paid $2500 under MSRP for a 2024 CRV Hybrid in 2023...and dealer pulled CRV off truck before add-ons were applied. Thanks for your good videos. .
@bjsimon802 Really. My brother has a 2017 Subaru Outback with a 360 degree heated steering wheel with absolutely ZERO issues! He loves ribbing me about how Toyota cheaped out on this feature and he's certainly correct!

300 horsepower is plenty for SUV. It's not a sports car. Only question I have is what is the difference between two point five safety sense and three point zero safety sense. I may be wrong, however, everything you listed off I believe I have in my 2022 XSE except the roadside signs. That I do not have. It is interesting to see what people want. Personally, i'm pretty happy with what's in it right now However previous to my XSE I had a 2019 trail which had cooled seats. Now, that is an option. I really miss in my current Rav. You would have thought with the difference in price between a trail and an XSE I could have still had my cooled seats. Everything else I love about it. In my opinion, just my opinion, it's far better looking than the Limited, which is technically the top of the line model. Once again a great video. I am patiently waiting for my new XSE probably without cooled seats.
I think with the release of the hybrid CX-50, that's the new best deal in this class. It sacrifices a little space and the infotainment system isn't as good, but its more upscale with the same Toyota engine. Also, you don't have to pay extra for remote start (a big deal in the north). I would say for 2026, Toyota needs to upscale their interior and make remote start included all while resisting price increases. I think automakers are going to start feeling the repercussions of all those high-priced Covid cars that are severely underwater.
Would love to see larger cargo space with better or similar mpg/battery size that’s improved by that lighter 5th gen power train. Also over the air updates for software like Tesla would be a massive sell to me.

I just got my new 2025 RAV4 Hybrid LIMITED, but two things are bugging me. First, the gas mileage is awful - only 9.6l/100km (24.6 MPG) in the city, which is way low, maybe cuz of the -10 degree weather and only 160km on the odometer. Second, the heater's weak; it's slow and doesn't get hot enough, any ideas why??
The change should come from the mentality of the Millenials and Genz who are now designing and making the new vehicles. They shold focus on making cars which are reliable and remove unnecessary gadgets that are just making new vehivles more expensive.

Wait? You mean the 2025 model does not have PSS3 and the new hybrid engine as the Camry 2025? The more reason why a new redesign is much needed. Not sure if it's a platform limitation but there is really no reason for them to delay it in the 2025 version at least.

Why would anyone choose a front wheel drive over awd in Canada? We used to own fwd cars and they were garbage in the winter months. We own awd and 4x4’s now.
I have a '24 Limited, so the one item I would like them to do is give better soundproof. I am disappointed with the wind noise, other than that, my RAV4 is great!
Larger Navigation screen, higher resolution on navigation screen. Higher resolution on digital rear view mirror. Fog lamps. Better music sound system. More internal color options. New outside paint color.
The Camry hybrid is what the rav4 will get. Unfortunately it’s the absolute minimum Toyota has to offer. They have access to better engines and better hybrid systems from China.
The Rav4 sells well because its a Toyota. However the interior looks dated cheap teen like cloth seats. could use a much needed update. It lags behind the rest. The outside can also clean up especially the lower trims thats not cheap by the way. Personally i skipped the Rav4 back in 2008 for a Murano and this model i skipped it for big sister NX250.
