Forgot to mention incoming costs - Need to replace the other 4 injectors (R8k in total) - Need to replace all tires (R10k in total) Will add more as I remember
The tires are unavoidable. But with months and the only things you need to replace are injectors, then you are still good. No engine leak or issues ? No gearbox faults? You good
That smoke is oil and water mixing, possible sources: 1. First check oil cooler, most likely its an oil cooler issue(the oil cooler gasket or the oil cooler itself) which is an easy and cheap fix but you will have to drain and replace all your liquids 2. Head gasket leaking, worst case scenario, check the oil cap to see if there is any creamy foam on the oil cap after running the car for a few minutes, if there is foam you are dead, head needs to go to engineering, new head gasket, new fluids, timing needs to be done, the time it takes to do this is what makes the cost too high, might as well get forged parts since you will already have the engine opened
Haha you get it bro!!! So my ofhg is leaking, so is the oil cooler. If it's the head Gasket I'll be slightly happy but sad cause I'll definitely do forged parts. Sometime next week I'll be replacing ofhg, oil cooler gasket, tappet cover gasket and intake mf gasket. Wanna do all gaskets but if it's head gasket then I can replace that and the oil sump gasket as well.
The smoke coming out of the exhaust if it's not the vapour due to cold weather start then it's a coolant leaking into the engine problem, check the head gasket.
Yeah that's the tricky part, video around this will drop soon but head gasket failures are almost none existent on these engines BUT not impossible Turbo EGR cooler Oil cooler ... That's some of the things people said. When I took the car in for Gearbox service, they did say oil cooler and ofhg are leaking, was still crying for the R12k so I missed that note
@oj4249 Bought at Goldwagen - BMW twin power turbo oil 5w30 They don't have BMW coolant anymore so I bought HEPU blue bmw coolant. Honestly prefer bmw branded stuff (not cheap)
Exactly what I'm getting, that's why I said I'm buying a lemon, knew what was coming. I'll explain why I bought the car on the follow up video but so far it's been accomplishing what I bought it for

Think you should maybe sell the car bro. Cut your losses early.
Haha, I'll sell once I'm done working on it.
I DIY everything on the car (so far) need to engine opening experience then I'll be done with it.

@@lindilebangose7667 engine and gearbox all good, I have an idea where the smoke is coming from.
Despite all the mechanical issues, the only regret is not having a sunroof 😂. I am glad you having fun with your car bru 👌
@mphokvele haha yeah, interesting car this one...
Buy yona sunroof is a need xem.

And I'm sure there'll be more.
Won't lie, car is really keeping me busy, makes the whole thing worthwhile. Exactly why I got this lemon

Already bought all fluids as I intend to flush the whole system.
I'll do 2 flashes for oil just to be sure 😂😂

@@NhlalukoGMasingi Danko🔥
ZF 8 speed service by ZF themselves is around R7k vat inc.
@Iceman999111 aahh then my 12k for both gearbox service and rear mainseal bill makes sense
I lowkey thought I got ripped off 😂😂😂😂
Where did you buy oil and coolant? And what brand you prefer 😅

@@lihlenqabeni7621 fun cars these BMWs
Had my "eix that was close moment" a little more than I care to admit XD
Petrol BMWs are all lemons bro.
Very unreliable.
U crazy asf
Extremely, specially the high performance ones. And the parts are expensive af 😂
Then the car rejects none bmw specific parts 😂😂
If taken care of they can be better... this was not taken care of 😅
You bought a petrol BMW with 170k + km's on the clock. What did you really expect to get??
Exactly what I'm getting, that's why I said I'm buying a lemon, knew what was coming.
I'll explain why I bought the car on the follow up video but so far it's been accomplishing what I bought it for
If it is looked after then that kilos is nothing. The petrol 6 cylinder can be reliable aswell. Especially the non turbo
@@Empie1904 agree.
That's one of the reasons BMW shifted from the twin turboe on N54 to the single on N55
