Is there a considerable difference when you switch from a grand piano to an upright?
Not really, but the Grand piano sounds much more louder than the upright piano, because of a bigger soundboard, and an upright piano is just a compact version of the grand piano so not really!
Upright pianos are vertical pianos designed to save on space. They produce less sound and cost less. Grand pianos produce a bigger tone. They have longer strings, more refined action, faster key repetition, are more expensive than upright pianos.✌✌
The hammers on the upright pianos have a horizontal action, so they dont get gravity to help them get back faster. That way you can not repeat the same key as fast as you can in a grand piano.

Yes, yamaha U1 is a good piano, intact all yamaha pianos are good, depends on your budget which one you want to go for !

@@samareshhaldar531 JU109 is a really good piano, but yes JX113 is slightly better as it also has the silent mode. Basically both pianos are good, you can choose one for yourself based on your budget
