About the Festival:
Established in 1987, Melbourne International Comedy Festival (#MICF) is one of the three largest comedy festivals in the world, alongside Edinburgh Festival Fringe and Montreal's Just for Laughs Festival.

The tempo and style lends itself to the comedic timing of their non sequitur jokes so perfectly this is actually brilliant

@Eugene Grewing Of the two of them, it's the one on the keys that impresses me the most. Not just for the varied harmonies, but on top of that she has to remember all those key changes (and their songs have A LOT!), and all the while keeping a dead straight face throughout.
Trust me, none of this is "easy".
The lyrics are amazing on their own but the harmonies and melody is what makes this truly spectacular

I feel your pain 😊 Their songs can be quite addictive 😊 If you're in the UK, they're picking up their tour again through May and June - it's an all new show but (spoiler alert) this one does make an appearance. Or if you have Amazon Prime, there's a one hour special (recorded in 2019) that includes this song, among many others.

@@lewiswood9286 it's built onto the side or back of the house as extra living space when you have plenty of natural light but not the heat. There is lots of glass and uPVC involved. The point is, say you house, like mine is 100 years old. The conservatory might only be 20 years old. It is a very different place. Many conservatories are separate to the main house, so you could get into one and not the other. I locked myself out of my own house without wallet or anything (basically shorts ant t shirt) one evening a couple of years ago when the rest of the family were in Italy and was able to get into the conservatory but not the house. I found s sleeping bag and slept on the floor. The next day I walked to work (no money and an understanding boss) and phoned for a locksmith to let me in.

Why do I recognise the tune
Maybe because they've used most of the chord progression from "I will survive" (try singing that over this and you'll see right away).
The opening intro is even in that exact same key, but they cleverly go out of it into a different key straight from the first verse.

So I flashed my boobs. They gave me meal number 3: chicken burger, four wings, and a leg, large fries and can of Coke, yes! My body, my choice, but as I opened up the door, I dropped all my chicken on the floor. I’m not proud but I still ate it.

Then I got in an Uber and the driver yelled at me “don’t be sick in my car” I said “I won’t be sick in your caaaaaaaaaaaar”

Then I found my way home. But I lost my keys, so I had to break into my conservatory. This is a public warning, for those with conservatories. They’re easy to break into when you’re drunk. No-body’s safe!
