Loved the final look! I'm not a 100%Mac person by any means but paint pots are a great value for the money, I use them under shadows every day and I find that Mac shadows have consistent color payoff, wear well and are worth it, especially when bought in pan form.
Honestly the thing I love most about your tutorials are that you tie your hair back and don't mess with it throughout the whole video, its so annoying when other gurus do that! Its a stunning look, I'll definitely be recreating it, as conveniently I have the nearly all exact eye shadows. That made me very happy :)

I finally tried the Rimmel Lasting Finish foundation and LOVE it! I got the color 200 Soft Beige. Lovely finish and great wear. My skin looks lovely after application of this foundation. Thank you Emily, glad I finally decided to try this foundation. If anyone out there needs a lasing finish to their foundation for long wear this foundation is a great one to try.
@checkThiZout48 it's a mini-pointed tip one from MAC- came w/ the eyeliner. works very well but there are lots of other pointed tip eyeliner brushes out there :)

Thank you for not apologising for not being a MAC addict. I wish more people on YT realised that there is a cosmetic world outside of MAC. I own some MAC & my opinion varies depending on the specific item. Some MAC items I have are outstanding and others are terrible, most are mediocre. Studio Finish concealer is really better for covering spots/redness on the face. A way to make it work better under the eyes, is to use a really fluffy blending brush so you're getting less product. You might find it to be less cakey looking if you try it that way.
You look flawless!! :) This eye look is pretty. MAC's new line of foundations are good for you folks who need a larger color range or find that the others run too yellow or pink.
I really like how your lips are looking lately with Mally's tips (drawing lip liner across instead of dipping down into the cupid's bow...). It took me a few videos to figure out the change...it's subtle but very impactful at the same time if that makes any sense!
I really loved this tutorial! And i like the fact that u aren't cramming MAC down our throats... not that u would ever do that! I feel like the Studio Finish concealer is more for covering up blemishes and other imperfections. It's not too great for under the eyes but I'm also not a big fan of it. The pro-longwear concealer is amazing for the under eye area/highlighter and perfect as an eyeshadow base. If you haven't, I think you should try that out. :)
This was an interesting video because this year (2013) was the first year I have been getting into MAC. I know it is beloved but I also know that people think you can find cheaper alternatives. I find that the skin finishes are definitely the best unique products and most worth the money.
Amazing :) could you do a NYX tutorial as well? Also, if you think your MAC concealor is too dry, I suggest using the MAC pro long wear concealer. I use it every single day, its creamier than the one you have but still great for spots.

hey emily, the studio finish concealer isn't meant for the undereyes! thats why it's drying and thick and cause cakey-ness. but i know it was the only mac concealer u had, but just thought u should know! :)

I especially love the holiday makeup looks that I find on UA-cam. You're tutorials have always been my favourite because they're easy to re-create and they always look so great! My request is can you please please please do a holiday look series and use cranberry (also my fav shade!) as more than just a crease blending shade?

that concealer is actually not meant to be used under the eyes. i mean if you want to you can, but it´s meant to be used on the rest of your face...maybe that's why you found it drying
I love how you are so honest and impartial when giving reviews! Just because it's MAC doesn't mean it's better than everything else! I personally think Wet N' Wild has stuff that equals or even surpasses MAC.. I don't buy MAC products because I think they are overpriced and not because I can't afford them so yeah.. Go drugstore brands! hehehe.. I love Urban Decay too though haha

I haven't tried Woodwinked or any Mac shadows really, but I got the L'Oreal hip duo in Wicked a long time ago after hearing the neutral shade was a dupe for Woodwinked and I had seen that color used by lots of gurus. It's one of my absolute favorite colors now :)

You should get a paint pot for the base, they work really well and conceal any veins and things on your lid!
