He always wrote albums depending on where he was in life and wrote the songs accordingly and 90% of the time about actual incidents. World coming down was the darkest of their albums and he had went through a lot of bad relationships and deaths in his family, not to mention...his 4 sisters had him committed with an intervention...was at 12 bottles of wine every show and coke. But hated them for it during that time. He was a humble guy and didn't think highly of themself but is that one-of-a-kind singer that will never be replaced or duplicated, ever.....EVER!
IVE NEVER CLICKED SO FAST. One of my favorite songs. So deep, holds a lot of meaning to me. Also the part where Kenny walks away is my favorite. Shows how awesome with the bass Pete was. Best version. Hands down
Great choice of song. World Coming Down (the album) is an interesting one, as it ditches a lot, but not all, of the humor and really gives an insight into what Peter was going through in his life.
This whole album is amazing. You should really do a complete listen through. It's complete with segues like the Ænima album by Tool and just flows beautifully. At least do the Everything dies video, such a beautiful song.
Everything Dies is probably the most heartfelt, genuinely sad song in the (metal) genre. Of course this is a generalisation, plenty of bands have beautiful songs with sad subject matter but there's just something about how honest Everything Dies feels that makes it way more special than any other really is able to be - at least out of everything I've listened to to date.
I will be honest i haven't been able to listen to everything dies in 5 years with out crying so hard i am dehydrated. i want to see them react, but i don't want to cry like that.
Only because of this channel I have developed a liking to the sound of Type O Negative. I’ve had a craving for Type O all day and whoa it’s a Type O for tonight! Thanks guys🤙🏼
Integrity101 my journey on this channel has opened my musical horizons and Type O sound has definitely grown on me more and more every time I listen to them.
I actually watched this same video day before yesterday. They were so great here, knowing Peter is no longer with us makes me very emotional, pulls at my heart so much!!
So glad I got to see Type O Negative in 98 I believe, what a great show, he was so wasted on wine he said thank you Milwaukee after a song yet we were in Providence RI, either way he rocked they rocked, RIP PS. 🤘
yes... vin is happy about it, because everybody can see how sori felt in love with pete... and if he would be alive, vin could do nothing againt it, because pete was over 2m and by far stronger...^^
*YOU FINALLY DID IT!* *it’s so funny there was another guy named Jay that got it done lol I’ve been trying to get you to listen to this for God knows how long. The live version is great but the studio version is a lot clearer* 🤘🏽🤘🏽
That's one of the main things Peter wrote about, anesthesia for instance and the fact that he was hurt in a relationship and a lot of his songs or about relationships gone bad. It was basically a shy guy and didn't like going overseas to festivals at all and basically ended up getting betrayed by his four sisters and every girl that he's ever met basically. But yeah he wrote all their songs and it was usually about something that happened to him.
I shook Peter's hand at a show during the World Coming Down Tour. He was the nicest guy despite his huge appearance. He asked me if I enjoyed the show, I said yes, I drove five hours to get here! He signed my World Coming Down cd insert, got Johnny's autograph too... when Peter shook my hand, my whole hand disappeared...lol💚🖤
yeah. Not the short version. I used to listen to that until i found out about the studio version, which was even better than the radio version. The ending riff is so haunting and sad.
One of my favorite songs of theirs. Especially love this live version. World Coming Down is the darkest album they have, Pete was dealing with a lot of depression around the time he wrote it. Such an underrated band
Check out the song "Green man", "Red water" or their cover of "Cinnamon girl" of the album October rust. They do a cool cover of the song "Summer breeze" on the Bloody kisses album.
The real question is: is someone "holding him hostage with out demands", or it is Peter putting and keeping himself there. Self-Sabotage. "I know that my world is coming down and i'm the one who brought it down." Hands down this is my favorite album. Pretty impressive that dark, deep, and depressing themes created this beautiful piece of music. Its ironic that you picked a live version, because Peter had a hard time performing the songs off this album live because they really bothered him. Due to that there are were very few live versions of this albums songs. If you do want live Type O (with good quality sound) check out the Bizarre Fest Live recordings from 1999.
I think he might have been alluding to his substance abuse holding him hostage, or maybe people he was using with, but knowing that he put himself in that situation… I can relate to this tune more than I wish I did
Peter Steele's lyrics are definitely an anchor for me in troubling times. Many people think that listening to sad or depressing songs when you're feeling down makes you feel worse, but for a lot of people those songs help carry you through. With Type O Negative, a negative plus a negative can absolutely equate a positive!
World Coming Down was the most serious album TON made, btw. All of their albums have puns and humourous, random stuff in it. This was the only album where there was nothing funny on it, it was all very serious. This was the time when Peter was using cocain heavily, he started using in 97 I think?.... This album was released in 1999. If you listen to the song White Slavery from this album as well (phenomenal song, btw), that's about cocain abuse.
Watching all the Type O reaction that you both have put fourth you can see the growth and appreciation of their style and music. To me, that is the best "Type Of" reaction.
i saw them once live in germany on the loreley and it was one of the best live concerts i ever saw... and the 3 t-shirts, i bought there, i save like a treasure for my kids and i hope, once they will wear them so proud like i do...^^
Tripping a Blind Man (another serious song) or The Profits of Doom (a tongue-in-cheek kind of song) would be great to do next. The meaning behind Tripping a Blind man really got to me.
Imo one of the most haunting pieces of music ever written. I was very young when I first listened to this album, but I knew it came from a very dark place. I could sense it. “She’s thinks I’m iron man, that I don’t feel pain.” I’m so happy I got to see them in my lifetime.
Awesome review. You guys rock. You should review These Three Things off of Dead Again. Dead Again was the last album before Peter died. He had gone back to the Catholic Church and some of the songs covers religious topics. These Three Things is one of those songs. It is a 14 minute epic that takes you on a journey and it is all about religious topics and prophecy. BTW - Peter wrote a song similar to the topic of Wings for Marie from Tool but it is heavier. It is called Never Enough. You should check it out.
Any of these next please guys... - Entombed - Left Hand Path - Bolt Thrower - The 4th Crusade - Possessed - The Exorcist - Dark Angel - Black Prophecies - Malevolent Creation - Multiple Stab Wounds - Death - Leprosy
Any of those songs would be great, especially "Leprosy", my favorite song ever. As kobra something used to say we need a Old School Death Metal Week, it would be awsome.
The bit about the mirror could be looking at himself, or it’s also a device used to snort cocaine off of, which is one of the many double meanings Pete used; further gazing at his reflection while destroying himself… it’s a lot to bear
This was an extremely personal song for Pete that he did not like performing live. Funnily enough, it's also one of my all-time favorite songs from TON.
I remembered I meant to mention before: I feel like what affects people or doesn't affect people stems from what they have or have not been exposed to. it also depends on their mental and psychological state and how they process things
Do Everything dies by Type O! really emotional song, from the same album that for most of it abandoned the jokes and satire and went for a raw look into peters life.
“Winter” - Oceans Of Slumber. You guys will love it, especially Sori. The singer is angelic and the male vocals are heavy as hell. Definitely my second top pick behind JinJer for female fronted up and comers.
This is my favorite! There are so many wonderful Type O Negative songs you should do. Red Water, Wolf Moon, These Three Things. The Dead Again album has some songs that reflect Peter's return to a relationship with God. You should give it a listen!
I've been waiting for you guys to churn out something I would like. Nothing against you personally, but I was kind of hoping to see either Type O Negative or Watain or the like soon. I missed coming here. EDIT: I will never not be amused at how amorous Peter Steele's voice makes Sori
As often as Vin comments on Pete reconnecting with God, I’m surprised there aren’t more nods to These Three Things... When the album released (and having owned all the previous albums) you could tell just by listening that a change happened in the man. This song is a perfect example of that change. No internet, no magazine sharticles, just the words and tone that was in the album.
Don't know if you'll see this but if there's one last Type O song you should check out is "Profit of Doom". This is from the bands last album and this Peter AFTER his conversion back to Catholicism. So the song, and the Dead Again album, reflects a Catholic Peter Steele as oppose to the other albums(Bloody Kisses, etc) where he was still Atheist. It would be a good bookend for your Type O video experience. That and it's just an fantastically composed song. Keep up the good work!
I can’t truthfully say I like their live stuff as much as the albums. They do so many sound layers you can’t hear them properly live and it’s not the same effect.
This song could be the theme song of my life. I always related to Peter and everything he experienced, from death to addiction. We'll meet soon brother 💚
Pete suffered from depression and had been diagnosed with bipolar - not sure if the second diagnosis was accurate - I have heard that diagnosis given way too often. But he did suffer from depression so with that comes both keeping up pretence where possible, self-loathing and often self sabotage - The more you listen to Type O the more you realise so many songs come from Peter's sense of self - rather heartbreaking at times.
You should react to the best swedish melodic deathmetal band(my opinion) Soilwork: 1: Distortion sleep, 2: Stabbing the drama, 3: Distance, 4: Rejection role.
Awesome review. And because you vin like the chants, i know which one is next 😜
Keep the TYPE O Negative video reaction coming👍 💚 them
He always wrote albums depending on where he was in life and wrote the songs accordingly and 90% of the time about actual incidents. Type O Negative - Everything Dies
Everything fried*
IVE NEVER CLICKED SO FAST. One of my favorite songs. So deep, holds a lot of meaning to me. Also the part where Kenny walks away is my favorite. Shows how awesome with the bass Pete was. Best version. Hands down
Such an emotional song. Peter was going through so much at that time. The more time you spend with this song, the deeper it penetrates. Thank you v&s!
The part where Kenny is singing the chorus is straight goosebumps every time.
Love Kenny’s part on this one! Especially on the studio version. Peter’s performance here is pretty heavy as well. Cheers!
Type O Negative - Everything Dies, Wolf Moon, Haunted, Bloody Kisses, All Hollows Eve, Black Sabbath, Everyone I Love Is Dead...
Everything Dies is my favorite Type O- song...
Definitely Wolfmoon and All Hallows Eve
Be my druidress
Everything Dies would be a cool video.
They would love Everything Dies. One of my all-time favorite Type O Negative songs for sure.
Great choice of song. World Coming Down (the album) is an interesting one, as it ditches a lot, but not all, of the humor and really gives an insight into what Peter was going through in his life.
DerManiac Same here, I still got the original cd I purchased way back in 1999.
Type O Negative - Creepy Green Light
Yes
This whole album is amazing. You should really do a complete listen through. It's complete with segues like the Ænima album by Tool and just flows beautifully. At least do the Everything dies video, such a beautiful song.

Agreed, even though I got the mp3 album now I still have the original 💿 I purchased back in 1999.
I will be honest i haven't been able to listen to everything dies in 5 years with out crying so hard i am dehydrated. i want to see them react, but i don't want to cry like that.
April 13th. Peter Steele tribute night at Duff's bar in Brooklyn NY
I'm there every year!
Only because of this channel I have developed a liking to the sound of Type O Negative. I’ve had a craving for Type O all day and whoa it’s a Type O for tonight! Thanks guys🤙🏼
Great band
Integrity101 my journey on this channel has opened my musical horizons and Type O sound has definitely grown on me more and more every time I listen to them.

October Rust is a great album. Check that out.
Type O Negative- Too Late: Frozen (Live)
I actually watched this same video day before yesterday. They were so great here, knowing Peter is no longer with us makes me very emotional, pulls at my heart so much!!
So glad I got to see Type O Negative in 98 I believe, what a great show, he was so wasted on wine he said thank you Milwaukee after a song yet we were in Providence RI, either way he rocked they rocked, RIP PS. 🤘
I screwed up not seeing them. 😕
Was this at Lupo's? Probably was there.... Lol, saw them about 8 times in Providence.... Cheers 🙂
Would love to see your reaction to Everything Dies or Life is Killing Me... One of my favorite bands of all time...
Life Is Killing Me has really good lyrics. I think it would be a good 'un.
Peter Steele. Dead sexy man. RIP. He's in the ground and yet you still have to watch your wife.😂
yes... vin is happy about it, because everybody can see how sori felt in love with pete... and if he would be alive, vin could do nothing againt it, because pete was over 2m and by far stronger...^^
Wolf moon September Sun Type O Negative
*YOU FINALLY DID IT!* *it’s so funny there was another guy named Jay that got it done lol I’ve been trying to get you to listen to this for God knows how long. The live version is great but the studio version is a lot clearer* 🤘🏽🤘🏽
Yall really need to listen to some of the "funny" ToN songs like "I Like Goils" and "My Girlfriends Girlfriend"
I don't wanna be XD
You guys still need to react to Type O Negative all hail and farewell to Britain
I definitely agree. Appropriate closing track to the last album they ever did
yes finally an actual type o negative video reaction awesome keep em up pleease!!!
One of my favorite songs of theirs. Especially love this live version. World Coming Down is the darkest album they have, Pete was dealing with a lot of depression around the time he wrote it. Such an underrated band
Type O Negative is my favorite band by far, thank you for reacting to them again. : - )
In praise of bacchus, red water, September sun.. Ahh
Green man please
Comparing this review to the first Type O review is pretty funny. Vin warmed up to Dracula and it's adorable.
#WebbWeek
Ben Webb-Umehara Has Otona No Aji Our boy is growing up so fast!!!
Check out the song "Green man", "Red water" or their cover of "Cinnamon girl" of the album October rust. They do a cool cover of the song "Summer breeze" on the Bloody kisses album.

Type O Negative - Todds Ship Gods (Above All Things)
Kieran Martin A very underrated song.
Yeeeeeees!!!
My dying bride - the cry of mankind or the prize of beauty!!!!!
Type O Negative - Wolf Moon
The real question is: is someone "holding him hostage with out demands", or it is Peter putting and keeping himself there. Self-Sabotage. With Type O Negative, a negative plus a negative can absolutely equate a positive!
I had to watch this again. His voice is so amazing. There is no one like him and there never will be ever again.

from 5:58 on the guitar you can hear black sabbath influence on the riff
Watching all the Type O reaction that you both have put fourth you can see the growth and appreciation of their style and music. To me, that is the best "Type Of" reaction.
i saw them once live in germany on the loreley and it was one of the best live concerts i ever saw... and the 3 t-shirts, i bought there, i save like a treasure for my kids and i hope, once they will wear them so proud like i do...^^

Saw Type O live in Chicago, 2006-2007(?), with Celtic Frost... man, Peter's voice still sends chills through the whole body.
The best band ever. Peter RIP
The next time you react to Type O, it has to be “These Three Things”. I promise you will enjoy the journey.
You guys love type o so much...that’s so beautiful...thank you for being beautiful 🔥⛪️🔥
Imo one of the most haunting pieces of music ever written. I was very young when I first listened to this album, but I knew it came from a very dark place. I could sense it. “She’s thinks I’m iron man, that I don’t feel pain.” I’m so happy I got to see them in my lifetime.
Try Type O Negative "Summer Breeze " cover it's pretty good.
Type 0 Negative - Too Late: Frozen
Sori likes Pete Steele's jack hammer, lol.

"Wolf Moon" or "Life Is Killing Me" by Type O!
They were AWESOME LIVE
The world is coming down as we know it....
Type O Negative is absolutely the most criminally underrated band of all-time. R.I.P. Green Man.
Love this video! I have this song tattooed on my arm. 💚💚💚💚💚💚
You guys get it.

Type O - Wolfmoon.
The bit about the mirror could be looking at himself, or it’s also a device used to snort cocaine off of, which is one of the many double meanings Pete used; further gazing at his reflection while destroying himself… it’s a lot to bear
Very underrated album..one of my all time faves
This was an extremely personal song for Pete that he did not like performing live. Funnily enough, it's also one of my all-time favorite songs from TON.
"But you put off that energy." That is literally the problem! You interpret, you assume. He ain't Iron Man!
A masterpiece among masterpieces.
I remembered I meant to mention before:
I feel like what affects people or doesn't affect people stems from what they have or have not been exposed to. it also depends on their mental and psychological state and how they process things

They had such a GREAT live sound during that time. I miss Peter Steele and Type O Negative like no other.
I've been waiting for you guys to churn out something I would like. Nothing against you personally, but I was kind of hoping to see either Type O Negative or Watain or the like soon.

EDIT: I will never not be amused at how amorous Peter Steele's voice makes Sori
My all time favorite band
Type o negative - anesthesia
Why hasn’t this one been done already?!
It has been done, check their channel back,
My favourite band hands down. RIP Peter Steele 😭
This is one of my favorite albums by them it was very serious after Peter's mom died he was thinking of his mortality heard in a interview.
Type O Negative - In Praise of Bacchus plzzzzz

I think what Type O did well was show a brutal, honest portrayal of masculinity; good, bad and indifferent
I seen them several times and Mr Peter apologized every time, I loved it 🤘➖🤘
Great just great... Cheers.
I can’t truthfully say I like their live stuff as much as the albums. They do so many sound layers you can’t hear them properly live and it’s not the same effect.
Type O Negative is...another world!!! Fucking great, they will also be in the year 2035 and then in 2063 and so on! 💚
This song could be the theme song of my life. I always related to Peter and everything he experienced, from death to addiction. We'll meet soon brother 💚
I actually just searched type o negative reaction and then found this from 57 minutes ago as the third result naise
i love that whole album
Please please please do green man you won’t be disappointed!!!! They called peter stele the green man
Arch Enemy - We Will Rise + Fields of Desolation (LIVE Tyrants of the Rising Sun 2008)
Love the Goth undertones in this Type O song(& other songs).
Check out Fields of the Nephilim "mourning sun" 🤘
"Last Exit for the Lost" is also a good song.
