Hey man, I’ve been helping my grandad and his disc bulge over the past couple months with the help of your videos and others like yours. You’ve also helped me personally with a tendon issue I had with my knee. I’m commenting to tell you to keep it up, people like you are a big reason that UA-cam is still a great platform
His videos are so great, hard to find legit people in the health and fitness industry, this dude has helped me fix my knees, back and shoulder for FREE
Hey bro can you please help me with disc bulge I'm only 23 and I accidently squared wrong a couple times and feel like I have some of the worst dic bulge. What should I do . Or what videos do you recommend?
Get your back checked for spondylolisthesis. You might also want to start trying to sleep on your back with a pillow under your knees or at least curled up on your side.
@@d-meth I used to be the same just start slowly shifting to other sides even for just a few minutes and use sleeping supplements like melatonin or ashwagandha
I have always been a stomach sleeper and because my bed it would sink in to much. Now I got a bed I can sleep on my stomach but now when I do I am like you I'm like stiff as a board
I’ve got piriformis syndrome. You helped me realise it’s the second type. Another thing that really helps is laying on my stomach and then bending my leg 90 degrees to my body. This releases all tension and reset the vicious cycle
I laid on my stomach and I felt back pain. What should I do? Can you please make a follow up video for this? I haven't found the proper exercises for my condition yet. Please help.
This was the move for me a long with cold packs to reduce inflammation after my daily workday when I first started chiropractics some 20 years ago. Since then my lower back has endured more bulging discs as well as arthritis due to heavy construction as my occupation. Strengthening has been the best thing as stretching only relieves pain temporarily. In conjunction though, game changer. Thanks
I know it might not be best, but that is the reaxon i sleep on the floor on top of some thick aunt made pillows on my stomach. My back pain is pretty much good unless i lift super hard or do something strenuous for hours
I thought you will mention about disc instability that can be fixed by bracing hips and isometric exercises. Good tip though. Never thought the pose shown in video can be too much aggressive
This pose and cobra press ups ruined my back, with disc bugles now I have facet joint issues too, my D-bag Dr told me to keep doing it and eventually the pain will go away and its probably just cramps. This happened in 2018 and till now I'm getting my back treated from other PTs and chiros, lost my job in 2020 cos of it
That makes so much sense now why it's so much more comfortable for me to sleep on my stomach my disk bulge is heald but I don't think the muscles are so I still deal with stiffness and soreness
They fail to mention that these stretches only work when the back is decompressed,If the stretch is performed with acompressed spine it will become much worse
I LOVE sleeping on my stomach. Its the most comfortable sleeping position for me, but if i do it for a few days my back hurts and if i twist or bend over i get a sharp pain.
I had 2 herniated discs (got microsurgery for both), pain never goes away, the only thing that helps is... DEADLIFTS, start doing the core exercises, big 3, etc, then deadlift with just your body weight and progresively overload, I highly recommend you using a trap bar. turns out your muscles (inner close to the spine, and big outside muscles) spinal erectors, lower back, glutes, etc are responsible to keep you standing, do train them always
It's from the McKenzie therapy wich didnt work for me at all. Still got back pain after doing McKenzie pushups and laying on stomach rigoursly for 3 weeks
what if you lay down and get pain legs and lowerback, above the tailbone where it connects to spin discs and extension makes it worse but no pain whn bending forward, only pain while walking or stand or extension
im currently suffering from one side lower back pain when ever i rotate on that i side my back hurt i mastered the core bracing but i might lift a weight in bad form what should i do.
When I lay like this for 5 minutes I get an extreme sharp pain in my back. It kinda spazzes and when I love it shoots pain up and shows. After a couple of hours it’s mostly goes away. Can you provide some insight to why this is? Is it sciatica?
@squatuniversity now What if after 30 seconds the back pain is worse than and you have trouble getting off the floor or even after three minutes. What might the problem be then? I attributed to weak abdominal core
Idk what happened, last night I fell asleep and now it’s 3 am I have intense outer lower back pain and I did this and it feels better, I really hope I don’t have a disc bulge
Instructions unclear: layed on my stomach, fell asleep
😂
thats a mission accomplished ser
Bout right 😂 I’m bout to take a nap in a few he’ll I can fall asleep sitting up without warning.
sleep is all you need to do.Hero of the day .

I think you should just help your grandad. Don't bother helping the disk bulge
This dude is my hero
That worked for my lower back pain. Thank you so much.

Anyone with lordosis or pelvic tilt this will the exact opposite you need to strengthen the abs and glutes a lot
You’ve gave me my sport life back man! Can’t thank you enough
When I wake up after sleeping on my stomach, I can hardly stand or walk.
Then stop doing that
@@garrett3726easier said than done if the only way you can actually fall asleep is your stomach =/

The extension position in the first clip actually helped release pain/tension off my
Lower back immediately
You're the best coach 👌🏻
Bro is caked up
Bro THANK YOU. As soon as i got onto my stomach (hard floor with mats) i felt a relieving pop/click in my lower back
Thank you so much!
❤this has been my favorite stretch for years!
I had sciatica pain(still has some) and I confirm this. When i was in full symptoms, any movement was painful, so yes start slowly.
I’ve got piriformis syndrome. You helped me realise it’s the second type.

I love your videos. They are so helpful!!!
Thank you great exercise less pain and i also feel my chest and shoulder worked out a bit. 🙂👍
Thank you for this honestly, I have a mesed up disc since I was 16 and cant afford to go to a physical therapist and forgot all the stuff they told me
Best channel ever ❤

Look up his video about McGill's big three. They're exercises to strengthen your core. It's helping me a lot.
@@sciadredan5410 Thank you 🙂
Go search up Spondylolisthesis, might be what your problem is.

Hurt my back in Fedex Ground in 2019. Going to be laying on the floor for a day or two now. Thanks.

Uh I do this constantly bc I love to draw this way 😅 no wonder my back never hurts anymore
how do you fix having almost no cartilage left in your L5 disc? I’m 20 and the doctor said I should never squat or deadlift again
GOATed insight
My husband always makes me do this. No wonder my back is so good!
Always had lower back pain, I'll have to do this when I get home tonight.
Mans got the cake
Thank you🙏
I LOVE sleeping on my stomach. Its the most comfortable sleeping position for me, but if i do it for a few days my back hurts and if i twist or bend over i get a sharp pain.
But if this hurts what is likely the issue and the alternative stretch.
tysm!
I will have to try this 😊
What is the recommended fix if you have pain when laying on your stomach?
Thank you 🙏 this is wonderful
I don't have pain in my lower back but this posture feels good 👍
Chrollo Lucifer from Hunter x Hunter, did anyone notice on his t shirt?
So if it does hurt worse after the little 30 second test, what would you instead recommend?
thanks Coach! 🫡
Do you have any tips on how to correct lordosis in the lower/mid back region
Don’t do this for lordosis. It will likely make it worse,
What do you recommend if laying on your stomach makes lower back pain worse?
Not me just laying down in this position to watch those videos haha

Deadlifts are the cause of it. Stop doing deadlifts they will ruin you're back .
Squat University what do you recommend if I have hyper lordosis/APT....pretty much my back, waist, that general area looks like I have those.
Any ideas on the people that, if laying on their stomach for longer period of time makes it much more painful could be?
What about the lack of cartilage on the bottom link of the spine?
What is needed to be done incase it increases the pain?
Plz respond 🙏🏽

T6,T7,T8 compressed.
thank u
I get a lot of pressure on my head in this position. What does that mean?
How do you deal with facet joint syndrome for less pain?
Sir when ever I use barbell for my back workout it hurts my lower back pls tell me how can I fix that at home
And what if you have some pain doing this mouvement? Is that a facet joint problem? Of just a muscle spasm? Or a ligament problem?
Trying this tonight
For a few years now laying down in this position (sphinx pose) gives me lower back pain.
Any ideas on why?
This is actually a yoga pose called Nag Asan.
what if you lay down and get pain legs and lowerback, above the tailbone where it connects to spin discs and extension makes it worse but no pain whn bending forward, only pain while walking or stand or extension
It causes back pain actually. There's no way this is my ticket. thanks for clarifying.
And what do you do if it makes it worse? I can’t fully relax in that position feels like my spine is bone on bone
What is the other option
What if it hurts?
The pain for me begins when i am almost up from that laying position
Good for low back pain bad for shoulder pain
what does it mean if laying on stomach causes back pain?
What do I do when I have this pain when I pay on mu stomach especially at the end of the day ?
What to do if it hurts to lay on my stomach?

How many seconds ?
I have back pain when i stand up and whenever i lean over for a couple minutes
That move will also help stretch out your stomach. Professional eaters use it.
McKenzie method.

Yes!😊
When I hang on a pullup bar, my lower back hurts. It feels like its blocked...
What about upper back and trap area
What about doing Yoga workout?? It has poses that I think has helped me with my back issues..
hey did you get taller after doing yoga
i doing it while watching youtube, didnt know what it called
I dont have back pain but I can do this to prevent it or nah?
Sooooo what is it if this doesn't feel good?
I feel worse after that, what does that mean?
How do you not flex your back?
Good ed. I wish you would stress the meaning of extension versus flexion for the lay patient
Flexion is bending (rounding) forwards, extension is bending (arching) backwards
